Gaining anticipation with promotion at last month's San Diego Comic-Con convention, it seems we're in for an official teaser for Sony's Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance sequel. The Alberta Film Ratings site has recently classified the teaser, evidently meaning it'll be appearing in theaters in the coming weeks; while the official site indicates it'll surely be next week.

Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance picks up where it's been several years since making a deal with the Devil and Johnny Blaze, living in self-imposed isolation, finds himself as the only person who can help save 10-year-old Danny – and ultimately the world – thanks to his unwanted and uncontrollable power – his ability to transform into the hell-on-wheels monster 'Ghost Rider'. Starring Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Lambert & Violante Placido, the film releases in 3D February 17, 2012

Can't believe they released the Spider-Man movie trailer before this. This comes out months before TASM.

I'm kinda interested in this film now after reading the description of the SDCC footage. I'll wait to see the teaser to decide if I'll watch it though.

DarrkEvil - 8/11/2011, 12:13 PM
I have huge faith in this movie...after it's release ghost rider should be rebooted under marvel studios..and should cast Michael C Hall for Johny Blaze's role :)
RunDTC - 8/11/2011, 12:14 PM

CaptainTall - 8/11/2011, 12:14 PM

DarrkEvil - 8/11/2011, 12:20 PM

jeremySee - 8/11/2011, 12:20 PM

Come on Pixar
headlopper - 8/11/2011, 12:21 PM
It should do good for a February release. Nothing but Valentine's Day romance crap that month.
comicbookfreak - 8/11/2011, 12:23 PM
Is anybody even remotely excited for this film? This is one cbmer who will not see this.
WebHead22 - 8/11/2011, 12:25 PM
Alright then. I will await its arrival!!!
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:27 PM
Fingers crossed
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:29 PM
I'm sensiTEAve about GL
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:33 PM
I believe in redemption.
DarthTesla - 8/11/2011, 12:36 PM
The fact that Idris Elba is in this movie already makes it 10x better than the first GR movie. That had a shit supporting cast.

Donal Logue?? Sure he was funny on Grounded for Life, but was totally unnecessary in Ghost Rider. The villains were a joke, too.

Spirit of Vengeance I think is on the right track. PLUS, Christopher freakin' Lambert!
TyrannicalOverlord - 8/11/2011, 12:38 PM
GL didn't make any money? I kinda liked that one. Hmm...
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:39 PM
OMG OMG OMG Chris Lambert?
imnotwearinghockeypants - 8/11/2011, 12:40 PM
It's going to be thirty seconds of Nic Cage taking a shit. In 3D.
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:41 PM
@Tea cause givin GL grief is an inter-national past time. But you can get away with murder as far as I'm concerned
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:41 PM
*Not that it doesn't deserve it
nickfury - 8/11/2011, 12:42 PM
@ DARRKEVIL the director controls aspects of filming, camera angles, actors, etc. i know thats not new information or anything, but when you have a pos actor like nic cage, its difficult for any director to make a good movie. think about every nic cage movie from the past few years - all crap (exception is kick-ass, but he was a supporting role). he has become al pacino after scent of a woman, stuck in the same mode. every movie he is the same, so how can a director (no matter how talented) make a good movie with nic cage in it?
I honestly hope i am proven wrong, i love ghost rider, but i doubt it.
nickfury - 8/11/2011, 12:44 PM
besides any one who sells off their comic book collection (with a copy of action comics #1 in it) should never be allowed to act in cb movie agian. period !
RockNRollCC - 8/11/2011, 12:47 PM
if this flops, its going back to Marvel. Sony's going bankrupt, so they'd probably want to focus on Spider-man films in the future....SO GIVE GR THE PROPER TREATMENT AND GIVE IT BACK TO MARVEL, SONY?!!

Nic Cage was so bad as Johnny Blaze. Really bad casting...
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:47 PM
Come to think of it... that pic looks very stop-motion Gumby-esque.
cable23 - 8/11/2011, 12:56 PM
I hate when people use this phrase but I just got to use it. "MEH"
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:57 PM
Meh, prolly sucked about the same. I liked both. (Don't tell anyone)
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:57 PM
@Cable we where on the same wave-length there
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:58 PM
@jazzy too LMAO
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 1:06 PM
I keep giggling at work and everyone keeps looking at me weird. muah ha haa haaa :)
Abu - 8/11/2011, 1:08 PM
They actually decided to go through with this movie?
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 1:17 PM
Froggy getting froggy. Who'da thunk it. I'm just giggling.
ElColmillo - 8/11/2011, 1:18 PM

Thats because no one cares about this movie

I love Ghost Rider...but the first movie... =/
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 1:26 PM
I'll rise to the occasion and take it all in good full whenever GL pops up in discussion. I'm just giggling

UltimateMarvel - 8/11/2011, 1:56 PM
I think that this movie will be a rental. Cage is just way too old for this role. Unless most of his screen time is him eating M&M's out of a martini glass looking all sad, then I'm in!
RunDTC - 8/11/2011, 2:01 PM
Eva Mendes's boobs had a bigger role in the first film than Mendes!
