Andrew Kreisberg Comments On How ARROW and SyFy's BOOSTER GOLD Could Link Up

Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg talks about Ted Kord's role in both Arrow and his Booster Gold pilot for SyFy and also comments on whether the two shows could somehow exist within the same DC Universe despite being on different networks.

In an interview with KSiteTV, Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg was quizzed about whether or not Ted Kord will make an appearance after his name was mentioned in a recent episode of the CW series. Well, as it turns out, there may be plans for him to return to the small screen in both Arrow AND the Booster Gold pilot. "Aside from the major Superman and Batman characters, DC has been really good about letting us play with their roster. We’d never say never to anybody. Kord Industries actually plays a part in my Booster Gold pilot, so, who knows. He might be on two different shows, played by two different actors." Of course, SyFy's Booster Gold pilot has been talked about for a very long time, but if it does happen, would it be possible for the two rival shows to somehow exist in the same DC Universe? "There’s always a possibility," Kreisberg teased. "There’s a line in the Booster Gold pilot where somebody says “we finally have our own hero. Not like that nut in Starling City with the hood.” I don’t know if they’re going to let me keep that line over there, if they [Syfy] actually make the pilot, but it sort of makes me smile to think that it’s the same universe."

Wow I thought this Booster Gold show must've been cancelled seeing as it's taken so long. Hmm interesting...
sephiroth211 - 5/13/2013, 5:46 PM
Booster Gold....Booster [email protected] Gold?! Christ, I'd take a Blue Beetle show before a Booster. I normally don't say this
ForeverPowerful - 5/13/2013, 5:47 PM
DC is up to something. Keep the hints coming.
Minato - 5/13/2013, 5:48 PM
Ted Kord Blue Beetle >>>>> Booster Gold
Gyasiman - 5/13/2013, 5:48 PM
DC, even though they may have been, aren't stupid. Arrow, Amazon, Booster Gold, The Spectre, Man of steel; They know they have to do something big to catch up with marvel, and there gonna do something that will blow everyone away. Just wait till after Man of Steel debuts......... Just wait
Logan276 - 5/13/2013, 5:51 PM
The more superhero shows the better! Bring on Booster!
SUPERSHADOWBAT - 5/13/2013, 5:55 PM
It seems in their own way WB/DC is starting to develop their cinematic universe. MOS is the lynchpin.
zeonsdemon - 5/13/2013, 6:02 PM
well that kills my interest in a tv show starring my favorite dc character, the corporate crusader. and after seeing the way they butchered him in new 52 i guess he's officially dead to me
JoshWilding - 5/13/2013, 6:23 PM
Just like Chloe made vague references to characters like Batman and Wonder Woman in Smallville (despite the fact that they were supposed to be off-limits), I see no reason why a line like the one Kreisberg mentions couldn't find its way into Booster Gold...unlikely, sure, but a cool possibility nonetheless!
alamborn19 - 5/13/2013, 6:27 PM
I just realized something if all these shows are being made and seem to be in the same universe who's to say man of steel and these aren't in the same universe which could mean that like Marvel's Agents of Shield this could be some sort of small universe of the heroes who are not main Justice Leaguers like flash batman superman or green lantern and movies who can't jump start themselves such as aqua-man, martian man-hunter or wonder woman which would only mean that Arrow and Man of Steel are the first step to a D.C. movie and t.v. universe
JoeMomma29 - 5/13/2013, 6:28 PM
I would not mind seeing Booster Gold in his own series, granted odd hero to go with. But hey Blue Beetle was his buddy and I would love to see Blue Beetle in a live action show!
alamborn19 - 5/13/2013, 6:28 PM
plus in Arrow Ted Kord was mentioned
Steelgoat - 5/13/2013, 6:28 PM

Watching with very cautious optimism.
ClarkFarley2012 - 5/13/2013, 6:33 PM
Booster Gold on Smallville was spot on. He was hilarious. Is that guy playing him in the series??
unknownfacts - 5/13/2013, 6:47 PM
Booster Gold actually was a success in Justice League Unlimited and Batman the Brave and the Bold so I guess a solo series makes sense.
MercSoul - 5/13/2013, 6:48 PM
a man in a hood with arrows is more believable than a man of the future with a robot sidekick
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 6:49 PM
ugh this show needs to stop.
DioFoRio - 5/13/2013, 6:49 PM
@alamborn19 exactly.

Wonder when they do JL if they are going to tone down the killing. I hope that is something that sets the DC uni from the Marvel.
DioFoRio - 5/13/2013, 6:50 PM
I dig this show for what it is...all these superhero shows on tv can only do so much ya know. They all turn out to be Melrose place with super suits.
thebearjew - 5/13/2013, 6:50 PM
this COULD be really cool
But itd be really stupid to yave 2 different actors play him if its in the same universe
Come on man
Be sweet if this booster series, and arrow n man of steel were a part of a bigger picture = dc film universe
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/13/2013, 6:52 PM
Arrow belongs in the same universe as gl. Not MoS
thewolfx - 5/13/2013, 6:55 PM
Bb > bg
InfiniteMonkey - 5/13/2013, 6:55 PM
DC should just flood cable and networks with their super heroes. They obviously can't keep up in at the theatres.
thewolfx - 5/13/2013, 6:56 PM
I agree with tdk1939

[frick] arrow
Goggles - 5/13/2013, 6:57 PM
This show really should have centered around both Ted Kord and Michael Jon Carter. Because Booster Gold/Blue Beetle team-ups were always the bee's knees. But hey, I'm down for some Booster Gold solo action.
thewonderer - 5/13/2013, 7:08 PM
Arrow rocks and the haters can go cry elsewhere.
hartley07 - 5/13/2013, 7:11 PM
omg stop linking tv shows and tv shows to movies, just make some friggin DC movies. longer the tv shows go, the longer we go without a green arrow movie. instead of trying to link idiot reynolds lantern and booster no-on-cares gold to arrow, how about linking spiderman to the avengers or something useful???
nach1wan - 5/13/2013, 7:13 PM
never read about booster gold, but if it is on syfy, it doesnt have a future
Jollem - 5/13/2013, 7:22 PM
BANE5000 - 5/13/2013, 7:34 PM
Funny how they would refer to Green Arrow as " that nut " with the hood, when usually in the DC universe Batman is reffered to as " That nut from Gotham City " :D
Super12 - 5/13/2013, 7:38 PM
I like the idea. Lets link the two shows up. If Amazon makes it then lets link it in too. And if all goes well it can sync with the cinematic universe too. DC is definitely laying the foundations for something. Arrow, Injustice, MOS, Booster Gold,'s slow but they're up to something
gmoney0505 - 5/13/2013, 7:50 PM
Now people trying to hate on tv shows. Tv shows have more appearances than movies. Movies come once every 2 to 3 years. Yeah it will be cool to link up these tv shows with the movies.

Arrow is great. If Syfy is smart link up Arrow in it to draw some of its viewers from Arrow? Is there really anything worth watching on SyFy? Link Arrow to new MOS and bring Manu Bennett so they already got a Deathstroke. People want Deathstroke. Find a way to get the Ultimate Tactician in a JL movie.
sephiroth211 - 5/13/2013, 8:04 PM
Lmfao @Doomsday slamming the car door on Boosters neck!!
Gyasiman - 5/13/2013, 8:12 PM
@Super12 Injustice????
Jollem - 5/13/2013, 8:21 PM
lol. yeah, doomsday wrecked the whole justice league at the time, sans trinity
thatcoldblackcloud - 5/13/2013, 8:28 PM
"DC is up to something"?!?! My god, how can people be so STUPID on this site
Tony93 - 5/13/2013, 8:36 PM
when did chloe mention batman and wonder woman?
RottenTSaves - 5/13/2013, 9:18 PM
@ LEVITIKUS agreed, he should be banned.
Dmon - 5/13/2013, 9:48 PM
If they make this they should call it "Blue and Gold" and have Blue Beetle and Booster Gold featured equally. And it has to be Ted Kord/Blue Beetle
SugarYumYum - 5/13/2013, 10:08 PM
I could give two shits about Arrow but I'm looking forward to what they do with Booster.
