First Look At ARROW's Suicide Squad

The CW have released first look images of Arrow's Suicide Squad, and the initial line-up will consist of Bronze Tiger, Shrapnel, Deadshot, Lyla Michaels, Diggle and Amanda Waller. The "Suicide Squad" episode won't air until next month, but you can get a sneak peek right here!

Thanks to Comic Book Resources, we have a first look at Arrow's Suicide Squad. This early iteration of the team consists of Ben Turner/Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Mark Scheffer/Shrapnel (Sean Maher), Floyd Lawton/Deadshot (Michael Rowe), Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson), series regular Diggle (David Ramsey) and Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson). Earlier this month, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg was quoted as saying, "Dig was our way into Amanda Waller, and in this episode, Amanda comes to Dig and Lyla, and she recruits Dig for a mission, and tells him he's going to need a team -- and she saddles him with the Suicide Squad." What do you guys think of the team? Sound off wth your thoughts in the usual place!

*Snot runs down nose*

Oh my....

Pasto - 2/21/2014, 9:04 AM
Deadshot looks pretty badass. Add that helmet and he WILL be badass.
MrDonut - 2/21/2014, 9:06 AM
I like it.
Pasto - 2/21/2014, 9:07 AM
RynerLute - 2/21/2014, 9:10 AM
Underwhelming, but ofc the hardcore fans will never admit it.
CaptainAmerica - 2/21/2014, 9:13 AM
SuperCat - 2/21/2014, 9:13 AM
They look ok, I guess.
Nomis - 2/21/2014, 9:13 AM
I love Arrow.... but I got to admit I was expecting more!
Nomis - 2/21/2014, 9:14 AM
it looks to much like ordinary people in ordinary clothes.
Rhysno1 - 2/21/2014, 9:15 AM
That is hugely underwhelming
GentlemanlyBatman - 2/21/2014, 9:16 AM
I was hoping they'd find a way to get Deathstroke into the suicide squad first... but this still is pretty cool albeit a little lackluster.
MisterPL - 2/21/2014, 9:17 AM
Cynthia Addai-Robinson certainly doesn't have to worry about staying in shape.
TheEmptySoulessSpectre - 2/21/2014, 9:19 AM
Nomis, you have an admirable amount of strength, you would ever consider joining me? I must take down SuperCat and Cipher next, but Pasto has been a pain in my ass. I request that you take care of him at once.
SwingsetKnight - 2/21/2014, 9:20 AM
@ WombRaider: Not yet, but as he watches his screentime slowly trickle through his fingers with each successive episode, it's only a matter of time.
Nomis - 2/21/2014, 9:21 AM
@ SpectreBlackJack - NEVER! you can't frighten me with your sorcerer's way Lord Vader! Uh...I mean, SpectreBlackJack!
NightWatcher - 2/21/2014, 9:23 AM
Looks Great!
MrReese - 2/21/2014, 9:24 AM
Looks ok I guess.Everything on this show is ace tho so I no care. XD
thewonderer - 2/21/2014, 9:24 AM
Marvelites will condemn this while continually praising the boring ass SHIELD costumes.
cipher - 2/21/2014, 9:25 AM
Smoke my ashes when I go, people. Or you can mix 'em and drink 'em.

Your call.
TheEmptySoulessSpectre - 2/21/2014, 9:25 AM
But we have T&A

Len - 2/21/2014, 9:25 AM
@WombRaider: No. As Josh's article clearly states, Waller approaches Diggle for a mission and pairs him up with the Squad for it. It's probably just one time thing as a way to introduce the team to the viewers without just making the episode a straight up Suicide Squad pilot.
Logan276 - 2/21/2014, 9:26 AM
I surprised they didn't bring back China White, even though she wasn't in the SS comic it would have made sense for the show version.
ProfessorX - 2/21/2014, 9:28 AM
Arrow is basically a soap opera with "superheroes". I prefer Agents of SHIELD.
beane2099 - 2/21/2014, 9:29 AM
I imagine this is something good for Arrow fans. Not my cup of tea (especially looking at that picture) but I won't knock it.
soforizo - 2/21/2014, 9:29 AM
It's a pretty pointless promo shot.

I dislike the guy playing Deadshot, and Michael Jai White's skills have still been underused. Shrapnel I like the guy playing him, though it wasn't a strong episode. Still, I hope the episode is good.

kevberg - 2/21/2014, 9:29 AM
No you arrow heads make it your mission to down anything to do with Shield.

This looks [email protected] and to their credit , i expected a little better. Arrow can be decent, but its no as flawless as some make it out to be.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:29 AM
[frick]ing hell do I hate Arrow's Amanda Waller. Terrible actress.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:30 AM

Does Jai White have any acting skills to even speak of lol? I've only seen him play Angry Generic Black Baddie.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:31 AM
Nevermind him 0mega. If you don't like Arrow you'll get a "WHY AREN'T U MAKING UR OWN SHOW!>!>!>>?!?" retort.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:31 AM
Deathstroke looks brilliant though.
Nomis - 2/21/2014, 9:32 AM
@ BlackKnight42 - Comic Books in general are soap operas with superheroes in them.
Ranger14 - 2/21/2014, 9:32 AM
Love the show, but I also find that the team looks somewhat "flat" and underwhelming. With the exception of Deadshot, I'm not getting a serious threat vibe from the team. To each their own.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:33 AM
I've really got to lol at Jai White's coat and those impractical claws :P
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:34 AM
Arrow, Season 2, is one of those shows where I care little for the execution but I like the storyline. As in, all these separate storylines going on at once that thread together is something I've always been a big fan of and whilst I am still no fan of this show, they've got good plot going on.
GeekyCheekyChic - 2/21/2014, 9:34 AM
for a first outing- I guess its ok.
ProfessorX - 2/21/2014, 9:35 AM
@AnnoDomini: Arrow should be applauded for its inclusivity (black and gay characters), but still I find it puts FAR too much emphasis on relationships. At the end of the day, I really don't care who the characters are [frick]ing.
TheEmptySoulessSpectre - 2/21/2014, 9:35 AM
Alright then, anyone else care to join?
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:35 AM

The only way the comeback is ever applicable is if you have the same budget and resources at your disposal. Besides, Arrow isn't a one man thing either. Multiple writers working together to form a plot. Same with BB. It wasn't all Gilligan. He's sit in a room with 5 other writers and they would all develop a plot together.
Klone - 2/21/2014, 9:37 AM
So in short, I like the plot, dislike the execution. As much as I disliked MoS, I liked the plot but disliked the execution and pacing, etc. I hope that makes sense. Deathstroke still looks movie quality badass.
