Slade Wilson Takes Down Oliver Queen In Another Clip From ARROW, "Three Ghosts"

The CW have released yet another preview clip from the midseason finale of Arrow, and this one features a violent confrontation between Oliver Queen and Slade Starling City! Is it a hallucination or has the man known as Deathstroke finally returned? Hit the jump to check it out!

After a fight with Cyrus Gold AKA the Acolyte (guest star Graham Shiels), Oliver (Stephen Amell) is drugged and left for dead. Determined to cure him, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) makes a risky decision. The cure causes Oliver to hallucinate, and what he sees forces him to confront his past. Meanwhile, Barry (guest star Grant Gustin) continues to help Felicity, and their connection grows stronger. The Arrow asks Lance (Paul Blackthorne) to look into Gold, but when the stakeout on Gold goes bad, someone is killed. Roy (Colton Haynes) is captured and tortured by Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Geoff Johns & Ben Sokolowski.

ezio619 - 12/10/2013, 7:19 PM
this is definitely a dream sequence, but it seems like lade might have gone insane just like the serum has a tendency to do and he wasnt able to save shado and slade
Ineedrevelation - 12/10/2013, 7:21 PM
Why the hell aren't they writing for the movies?
jamesbrando3 - 12/10/2013, 7:21 PM
Read this advance review of ep.09 of Arrow, "Three Ghosts" guys... Sounds like we're all in for a bigger treat than we're even ready for!

There's no spoilers but some tiny hints, Stephen Amell tweeted the link himself, read it, it'll get you pumped for tomorrow lol

-let me know what you guys think...
MercSoul - 12/10/2013, 7:25 PM

This show just keeps getting better...and better...

ManDeth - 12/10/2013, 7:31 PM
The big take away from this is this: Arrow is about to end Shado and Slade's Island storylines. And that could be so they can come to Starling City current time.

Pasto - 12/10/2013, 7:33 PM
Oliver: "I tried to save you!"

Slade: "But YOU couldn't."

Could someone else have saved Slade?....
Lemons - 12/10/2013, 7:35 PM
Slade is badass! I cannot wait for him to be the big bad villain!
GLprime2814 - 12/10/2013, 7:39 PM
Would be cool if the serum turned his hair grey.
ALmazing - 12/10/2013, 7:42 PM
That was pretty bad ass.
sniktsnakt - 12/10/2013, 7:42 PM
Slade can't be dead. Remember how when Sarah reappeared and one of her first questions is asking what happened to Slade? Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Am I remembering it wrong?
AnthonyLantern - 12/10/2013, 7:44 PM
So, Oliver will be visited by 3 ghosts (Very fitting for this time of year). I assume they will be his father, Slade, and Tommy.
ForeverPowerful - 12/10/2013, 7:50 PM
Slades still alive, they have to explain why the mask is set up with the arrow on it. I doubt Ollie would set that up after Slade killed Billy Wintergreen or whatever.

My guess is that he goes crazy for some reason and they fight which ends up to Ollie beating him.

Wow. Oliver really got jacked up.

It's funny, after just one clip, I'm hooked on the entire episode.
jamesbrando3 - 12/10/2013, 8:12 PM
"The episode is called "Three Ghosts," and since Oliver is being visited by characters from his possible past, his possible present, and his possible future, it's probably also not surprising that there's a little bit of a Christmas motif, which I guess makes Oliver Ebenezer Scrooge in his own weird way. Expect an unexpected fight within the Arrow lair, a visitor in the Queen mansion, and some surprises so big that they haven't even been hinted at yet, spoiler-wise. I follow everything Arrow and I didn't expect to see half of the things we see within. In fact, more than once I was actually a bit shocked.

I also give the writers of this episode props for not avoiding the words "Solomon Grundy" in "Three Ghosts."

If I can offer any other teases about "Three Ghosts" it would just be to be sure to avoid Twitter on Wednesday night if you're on the West Coast, because there are surprises you will not want to have spoiled for you."

-Those were my favorite parts from the article I linked above. I haven't been so excited to watch something since, maybe, The Avengers first came out. I literally cannot wait till tomorrow guys.
ManDeth - 12/10/2013, 8:18 PM
Newsarama just reviewed it.
Anybody who misses this will be sorry.
jamesbrando3 - 12/10/2013, 8:23 PM

Holy crap, thanks for the heads up, I'm reading Newsarama now! So excited!!
BruceWayneNewton - 12/10/2013, 8:25 PM
Slade is clearly not dead but Oliver believes him to be so. That is why he is in his "dream" as a ghost. This show is getting better and better and I am so in love with his sister dammit!
gamecreatorjj - 12/10/2013, 8:32 PM
guys, Slade "died" in the scientist, but he'll be back, probably this season too, since he was made main cast
ndwwrestler2 - 12/10/2013, 8:43 PM
@gamecreatorjj Plus I remember Sarah asking Oliver "where's Slade?", So that must mean he survived the serum at least.

SimpleeComplex - 12/10/2013, 8:56 PM
Man this show is awesome. Fox shld borrow these writers and let them teach Fox how to make Wolverine a kickass killer onscreen instead of a pansy. Arrow is on national TV hello?! And yet he goes for the JUGULAR in a realistic looking COSTUME and IT WORKS! Lookin at u Fox, Singer, Jackman.

Greg Berlanti wrote Green Lantern...
charlie2094 - 12/10/2013, 9:01 PM
Really hope this isn't a dream sequence, though it most likely is...Slade has to be alive, all just part of him becoming Deathstroke. Can't wait for this episode, show's been great this season
ComicFan523 - 12/10/2013, 9:02 PM
That was a good fight. My guess is that it was a hallucination but we'll see. I want Slade in full Deathstroke regalia in Starling City.
Rokyn - 12/10/2013, 9:05 PM
You guys do realize that these are the same writers (with the exception of Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns) from Green Lantern? Lol? Just want to point out that not every writer is without sin. Don't believe me? Look it up lol. OH THE IRONY! So many hated GL and now so many love Arrow!

@ Witcher

That was hilarious! Stephen Amell is a good guy lol
TheGodOfMischief - 12/10/2013, 9:23 PM
This is the stuff that makes this show SO good!
ezio619 - 12/10/2013, 9:23 PM
ROKYN-THEIR SCRIPT WAS REWRITTEN BY MICHAEL GOLDENBERG WHICH IS WHY THAT MOVIE WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL, their original script was leaked years back and alot of websites were saying it was really good
BubblesShedAndBreakfast - 12/10/2013, 9:24 PM
