I'm really looking forward to this.
razor - 6/3/2012, 11:23 AM
Even though I liked Smallville, I hope CW learns from their mistakes with the show to make this even stronger.
thisheart - 6/3/2012, 11:26 AM
4 Roles? I heard him mention pre-island oliver and post island oliver...What are the other 2?
FightAs0ne - 6/3/2012, 11:34 AM
Maybe training oliver and then the arrow?
skidz - 6/3/2012, 11:40 AM
I hope he's got some trick arrows, too.
Iceman01 - 6/3/2012, 11:40 AM
No he means four different stages on Oliver's life
Rich playboy, stranded playboy, found out of touch playboy, and superhero playboy
fattieacid - 6/3/2012, 11:43 AM
that salmon ladder shit is god damn intense..
Xeriath - 6/3/2012, 11:43 AM
He referred to his alter-ego as just "Arrow" in the video. I hope his name is actually Green Arrow in the show and not just Arrow. That would be retarded.
FightAs0ne - 6/3/2012, 11:43 AM
Ok i can understand that iceman
tazmaniak - 6/3/2012, 11:57 AM
Aww, why did he spoil that scene.? I would have liked to have been surprised or even shocked when it happened.
SymbioteSpidey1 - 6/3/2012, 12:02 PM
@Froggy, he does look better with the mask
Toasty - 6/3/2012, 12:05 PM
Heck i'd be happy in the pilot if he tried on the mask and thought "nah not for me yet".
AnditsOn1 - 6/3/2012, 12:11 PM
It seems that this show won't fail. Also, there is some sort of spoiler in the middle of the interview. If you don't want to be spoilered, just skip it...
thatdylhooper - 6/3/2012, 12:58 PM
Tazmaniac, it said spoilers on the vid lol... I hope they really come through on this, Oliver Queen is such a great character, and they could bring this show to great places
thatdylhooper - 6/3/2012, 1:01 PM
Why would it be retarded to just say call him Arrow? The DC universe is so unrealistic that if they want to ever make to work on a cinematicl
thatdylhooper - 6/3/2012, 1:02 PM
(oops) level, there gonna hafta fudge a few things
ForceOfLegend - 6/3/2012, 1:14 PM
I never really was much of a fan of Green Arrow, but maybe I'll check this out.
dnno1 - 6/3/2012, 1:27 PM
It's looking like the use of the Name "Arrow" and "Starling City" is a hedge just in case the pilot doesn't get picked up, they could later deny that it was based on Green Arrow. I have a felling that post pilot they will change the name of the city and some of the characters.
jazzman - 6/3/2012, 2:36 PM

are we surprise at this since two comic book character with the first name Green failed im talking about Green Hornet and Green Lantern LOL
tazmaniak - 6/3/2012, 2:41 PM
@thatdylhooper, I know, but I saw the video on Youtube before I came here. Anyone watching it on Youtube, and not from here, isn't going to know there's a spoiler.

And did it always have the spoiler warning in the article? Unless I just missed it, it wasn't there when I first saw the article.
TheBatman938865 - 6/3/2012, 2:44 PM
@thisheat-well....Green Arrow and the rich playboy
Xeriath - 6/3/2012, 2:47 PM
@thatdylhooper I just think it's dumb I don't know I feel like that would be just like Marvel making the Iron Man movies and calling him "Iron" instead of his full name from the comics seems silly to me but I digress.

@jazzman You do make a good point though lol superheroes with Green in their name haven't been too popular as of late
zachman2013 - 6/3/2012, 3:38 PM
i think this will be great, smallville was good, but there were the bad seasons like 7,8,10, but this show could be somthing special, If it keeps the same tone as like the nolan series, but has all of our favorite heroes from dc appear. This could set up for a Batman or Nightwing series. But thats all if this show is successful.
Bartman87 - 6/3/2012, 4:08 PM
Maybe they used Starling City because there is an actual Star City and well he wears Green so really it is kinda redundant to say "Green" Arrow. Maybe they will call him that sometime in the beginning and later just call him Arrow to keep it simple. Arrow is shorter and better call sign/identity in "real life".
sbdc1939 - 6/3/2012, 5:11 PM
dude better wear a mask or something instead of painting his eyes that kinda gay
mgeoff88 - 6/3/2012, 7:05 PM
I'm looking forward to this show.

I was skeptical about some of the changes and things I've heard when the news of this show first hit.

It's been shaping up since then. I think this has a lot of potential.
Ichaos - 6/3/2012, 10:03 PM
Holy crap someone needs to iris down. that interview he is positivly radioactive
manofmidgard - 6/5/2012, 3:14 PM
lol green arrow just doesnt look right and changed his name to just arrow. sans mask, like hawkeye. so lame. like "david" banner in the old hulk tv show. i think dc has finally evolved to where marvel was back in the 70's. maybe in another 40+ years they will have progressed to where marvel is now and make the characters (mostly) right. dc hasn't learned from their growling armored ninja batman massacre at all or even last years tv wonder woman fail. sheesh more smallville quality (or lack thereof) cheesiness i guess. pass.
