Watch The CW's ARROW Panel From FanExpo Canada 2012

The pilot to the CW's Arrow was shown at FanExpo, with a short Q&A session afterwards. It had the cast talking about the Smallville comparisons and revealing that a famous comic writer is penning an episode and much more which you can see after the jump.

In the video below, you can see the Q&A session with Arrow stars that has some great jokes and information such as Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) revealing that fan-favorite comic writer Geoff Johns is writing an episode of the show, as well how the island flashbacks will work, the different kinds of arrows he'll have and the cast's initial reaction to reading the pilot's script. Arrow just recently adding Jessica DeGouw as The Huntress, Michael Rowe as Deadshot and John Barrowman as an unknown character so it is already shaping up to be an interesting T.V show. Take a look at the panel below!

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he's become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory.

The series stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance, David Ramsey as John Diggle, Willa Holland as Thea Queen, with Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance.

^Not to mention the fact that she lost her Canary Cry during the start of Mike Grell's run in 1987 and it wasn't restored until 2001. She survived without it for 14 years in the comics, so she'll survive without it in Arrow.

Geoff Johns let me down with GL, if its not comics Im skeptical about his writing although the booster gold episode of smallville wasnt that bad.

@earzmundo, but not having powers is her natural/original state. The first Black Canary existed for over 20 years before she was given the ability. She was primarily a martial artist.

That works for this show. I mean, if you're not fighting supervillains, the Canary Cry isn't very helpful. They say numerous times in the comics how it can't really be used on regular humans as it might kill them and it can't be used in close quarters as she's likely to injure any ally fighting with her. She rarely uses her powers and instead relies on her martial arts. Her powers don't define her like some characters. She is known for being one of the DCU's best martial artists.

Got to agree with earzmundo, it really is lame that there not going to use the Canary Cry.

John Barrowman + “well-dressed man” + “as mysterious as he is wealthy" + "an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.” = Count Vertigo

This show could work with no super powers. Hopefully, hi tech gadgets will be used heavily.
There are a lot of street level characters with no powers that can be used for at least the first two seasons (if it gets that far). Perhaps later, they will change they're mind about introducing super powered characters.
