First Good Look At Lee Pace As 'Ronan the Accuser' In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Before seeing the "religious bent" Kree villain in tomorrow's new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, make the jump for what appears to be our first official look at Ronan and his Universal Weapon!

In anticipation of the brand new Guardians of the Galaxy theatrical trailer, which debuts tomorrow, a new promo image has surfaced online (via Guard the Galaxy) revealing our first official look at Ronan the Accuser, played actor Lee Pace. As the primary villain of the Marvel space epic film, Ronan has been described as "twisted, religious bent" psychopath who works for the "Machiavellian" Thanos.  Apparently, the blue-skinned Kree leader lives by the belief that "strength is virtue and weakness is sin," according to director/writer James Gunn. Anyhow, considering we've only had a few glimpses of Ronan by way of toys and briefly during the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, check out the image (right) which also features the Accuser wielding his iconic Universal Weapon. What do you think?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is presented by Marvel Studios and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film opens August 1, 2014.

Looks good although I would've preferred a bit of a green color scheme. I don't like how bad guys are usually all dressed in black.
ckal - 5/18/2014, 3:21 PM
Ronan better not be killed off in this movie or I'll be [frick]ing pissed.

Vegeta - 5/18/2014, 3:31 PM

Snyder's Batman has nothing to do with this thread. Why are you bringing it up?
