campblood - 6/6/2014, 4:21 AM
even the figure doesn't have a helmet...
BlindJustice - 6/6/2014, 4:24 AM
Thor = No helmet? No thanks.

That Thor figure is miles better than the one from The Avengers.

Still need the Loki figure from The Avengers.

For GotG I might wait for a combined Rocket and Groot figure. Preferably bigger than 1/6.
BlindJustice - 6/6/2014, 4:26 AM
Besides, his hair is too dark. Action figures have definitely come a looooong way though!

I totally misread this thinking they were revealing that Thor has a cameo in GOTG - I fail

Man, I love the chain mail added to his leg and the loin flap. I've been dying to see Hems in the suit below, but now that I think about it, it might be overkill in live action. Like to too much silver. Still its [frick]ing sick.

BANEofExistence - 6/6/2014, 5:13 AM
And yet still no word on X-Men figures :'(
dethpillow - 6/6/2014, 5:31 AM
yeah, it's a cryin shame isn't it?
mikefont - 6/6/2014, 5:34 AM
I wish they woulda had Hemmsworth in the classic Thor uniform (with helmet) like fom the Simonson days...
mikefont - 6/6/2014, 5:34 AM
Thor dont need no stinkin chainmail
Jollem - 6/6/2014, 5:47 AM
damn right, mikefont
TheRationalNerd - 6/6/2014, 5:47 AM
I'm starting to think that the glimpse of Thor's helmet in the first film is the most we'll see from it in the MCU.
Jollem - 6/6/2014, 6:02 AM
@BlackNerd - yeah :( this is the movie version, tho. gotta take it for what it is
Rulk - 6/6/2014, 6:14 AM
I wish the Thor movies were better. Provided GOTG is good (crossing fingers) both Thors are the weakest link of both Phase 1 and 2 sadly imo. Thor was great in The Avengers though!
p0ppysmic - 6/6/2014, 6:17 AM
Damn, i need this one!
MightyZeus - 6/6/2014, 6:32 AM
I think it would be great if Thor where to cameo in GOTG before he came back to Jane Foster in England and became mortal.

Fingers crossed that GOTG will be epic.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/6/2014, 6:53 AM
Hemsworth is a perfect Thor. Losing the helmet was the right decision. It looks shitty in real life.

I want ALL the Guardians Hot Toys!
Philvis - 6/6/2014, 6:55 AM
It really is amazing how great these figures look compared to the stuff I grew up with. Then again, for $2.99, I guess you cannot expect much!
pepe - 6/6/2014, 7:02 AM
Does Thor ware panties under that skirt?
RetroFit - 6/6/2014, 7:12 AM
Give me helmet or give me something else.
SageMode - 6/6/2014, 7:16 AM
Hots toys bringing the good as usual. That Thor figure looks pretty dope. I
Jollem - 6/6/2014, 7:17 AM
@Rulk - i'd say iron man 2 and 3 are the weakest links of the "phases"
GodzillaKart - 6/6/2014, 7:23 AM
Thor's armor improves with every film. TDW armor was fantastic.
yossarian - 6/6/2014, 9:05 AM
I need a drink...
TheAbomination - 6/6/2014, 11:22 AM
Love the detailing on these figures.

"I wish the Thor movies were better. Provided GOTG is good (crossing fingers) both Thors are the weakest link of both Phase 1 and 2 sadly imo."

I'm one of the biggest Thor fans, but both movies felt pushed out the door. Its the cheap shortcuts that are bugging me. At 150M budget, there's no excuse for actors layered in makeup and standing on milk crates to portray the Frost Giants :). Thats just network tv cheapness, when other studios have done CGI giants right with way LESS money.

Thor 2, there's the brief glimpses of the rock guy and baby jotun monster, but they went the fast and cheap route again...there's no real GARGANTUAN CGI foe, of which their are plenty in Thor's list of enemies. That you're supposed to do for a major motion picture with Thor. The main enemies are played by two costumed actors. The CGI is used on the mothership, but come on...

Avengers was the only movie to get it RIGHT. You're coming at Thor with green gamma radiated brutes and 100 ton Chitauri monsters! But the solo movies have, for whatever reason, not been nearly what you'd expect of a Thor film.

mgeoff88 - 6/6/2014, 2:19 PM
Wow, the Thor figure looks fantastic!

i love hot toys but hate their hotter price tags.
JediPhilosopher - 6/7/2014, 4:36 AM
That last one should have been called Thor: Falling through Things
Awesome detail in these figures.
case - 6/7/2014, 9:43 AM
The helmet on Starlord is rad. I used to love when my figures had helmets - like the Lando ROTJ one. So sick.
