Minor SPOILERS! Official GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Cameos And References Revealed

The finalized credits for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy have been released and they reveal Nathan Fillion's role, as well as cameos made by Stan Lee among others. Check them out after the jump!

With Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy now just two weeks from gracing the silver-screen, the official cast listing has been released via Stitch Kingdom. They finally reveal not only who both Nathan Fillion and Stan Lee will portray in the film, but also previously unknown camoes. Plus, there's a rather odd reference to a certain Marvel bird. Check them out with a mild spoiler warning!

Otherwise, here’s what we’ve learned: Stan Lee will have his customary cameo, this time as the ‘Xandarian Ladies’ Man;’ browncoat favorite Nathan Fillion will be dolled up as ‘Monstrous Inmate;’ musician Rob Zombie lends his voice as the ‘Ravager Navigator Voice;’ and writer/director James Gunn himself will appear in the film as one of the ‘Maskless Sakaaran.’ Howard the Duck is somewhere to be found in the film. This inference comes from a line in the end titles that credits co-creators Steve Gerber and Val Mayerik. Also in the film, though not a cameo, is actor Fred the dog who assumes the role of Cosmo.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is presented by Marvel Studios and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film opens August 1, 2014

Considering the amount there supposedly is in this movie, four cameo reveals is nothing.

Sounds eh.
McNyagano - 7/16/2014, 5:09 PM
I might as well drop a spoiler. There's scene where they hose down Rocket and you can see all the cybernetic shit they did to his body:o
GeneralZod1138 - 7/16/2014, 5:10 PM
Good. Nathan Fillion can still be the New Hal Jordan.
Bekss - 7/16/2014, 5:11 PM
James Gunn said like 3 times that Fillion wouldn't play any real character and Lee's cameo sounds like his Ironman cameo.
DannyRand1225 - 7/16/2014, 5:11 PM
i expected Fillion to have a minor, unimportant cameo..oh well.atleast it seems he is caked in makeup so maybe in the future, he can do something else for Marvel
billnye69 - 7/16/2014, 5:12 PM

howard the duck? really?
XelCorp - 7/16/2014, 6:13 PM
@McNyaGano- What is Rocket exactly? He looks like a racoon but people say he isn't? Why does he look that way? Did he originally start off as a racoon before they experimented on him? I'm guessing there are other raccoon like creatures out in the galaxy besides earth? I'm so confused.. And I don't know anything when it comes to guardians
DatGuy - 7/16/2014, 6:30 PM
@DCMarvelFreshman you are on a roll, you go dawg!!

I just don't know what to think. Marvel Studios absolutely dominated today.
AlexanderLykins - 7/16/2014, 6:56 PM
So do we know what this dog looks like?
ruadh - 7/16/2014, 6:59 PM
"Nathan Fillion will be dolled up as ‘Monstrous Inmate;’"

Thank you. As I said from the beginning, you don't have to watch the end credits to see him, but to find out who he played, like Fillion said all along.
ckal - 7/16/2014, 7:02 PM
Rocket is not actually a raccoon. He is not from Earth and just happens to look like one.
Inhuman - 7/16/2014, 7:11 PM
I told ya'll Howard The Duck is going to be in this film!!!!! Been calling it since day 1. I'm telling you a Matvel One Shot of Howard The Duck would be funny as hell and give that character redemption from that horrible 80s film.
