POLL: What Did You Think Of The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Trailer?

We've all been going Guardians of the Galaxy crazy these past few days thanks to the release of a new trailer, featrettes and poster. As a result, there's obviously been a lot of discussion about the bunch of A-Holes, but did the trailer sell the movie to you? Let us know here...

"You're Welcome" is the tagline which accompanies the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, but just how happy are you feeling about what you've seen of the movie so far? The featurettes released yesterday certainly helped to shed some light on the main cast of characters, while many declared the poster as Marvel's best yet. However, what did you think of the trailer? Did it set the tone perfectly, or did you hate every second? Here's your chance to let us know...

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Chris Pratt as Star-Lord

@whysoserious54 ....u know at least the reason of the walkman?
Omarvls - 2/21/2014, 2:12 PM
The Trailer along with that dopey UGA UGA UGA CHAKA UGA have become a culture type event
My sisters kids are going crazy for it and all their friends also
Omarvls - 2/21/2014, 2:13 PM
That Dopey song has gone up 700% since the trailer was released

Vegeta - 2/21/2014, 2:15 PM
What did I think?

MagicalGoat - 2/21/2014, 2:16 PM
Meh! I need more from these A-holes.
AnthonyLantern - 2/21/2014, 2:17 PM
@whysoserious54 the costumes were cheap?....Really?
charlie2094 - 2/21/2014, 2:18 PM

Exactly how Guardians should be, literally Dan Abnett's run brought to life on screen, can't wait to see more!

Love the very quirky, sci-fi tone. Definitely more of an easy introduction to the characters for audiences, next trailer should show more plot and Ronan

Quill was abducted at a young age, so a Walkman is all he has from his time on Earth
BaneSmash - 2/21/2014, 2:19 PM
Dave Bautista was a bad casting.
MercSoul - 2/21/2014, 2:19 PM
@whysoserious54 ...marvel even in his comic books do jokes, why always all the thing has to be dark and serious like the Nolan'a crap, and also the walkman? is not a joke, is the only thing that Starlord keeps from the earth, thats why he like it so much
MagicalGoat - 2/21/2014, 2:20 PM
WTH! Why haven't we heard Groot speak yet? He has one bloody line!
Beside the trailer, I'm actually really looking forward to the film though.
Pedrito - 2/21/2014, 2:20 PM
Options 2 and 3 are very similar to each other. So are options 4 and 5.

I like how ironic @whysoserious54's comment is.
SauronsBANE - 2/21/2014, 2:21 PM
For me, it's mostly the tone that I'll have to get used to. It's ridiculous, it's out there, it's sarcastic, it's funny. And it knows it. It comes across as making fun of itself, and that's exactly the type of self-deprecating humor that could really help a movie with a gun-toting raccoon, a talking tree, and a bunch of really weird aliens, become a really big hit. The trailer wasn't the best thing ever, but it was intriguing.
Humperdink - 2/21/2014, 2:21 PM
Not close to perfect. I was expecting something more dynamic. Visually it looked great but the trailer itself came across too campy. Even the pacing seemed off. Especially the Starlord interaction with the arresting aliens. Nothing I saw seemed to really own the scenario. Something was just missing an the humor was just too juvenile and unfunny.

That said I will watch it and give it a try.
I hope the full trailer is better.
UltimaRex - 2/21/2014, 2:22 PM
It was alright. And having Rocket Racoon in a movie is one step closer to my Squirrel Girl movie...

I REALLY want a Squirrel Girl movie.
CoolantTech72 - 2/21/2014, 2:23 PM
Absolute brilliance, It looks like Marvel really has outdone themselves this time, I love the feel that it generates!
BaneSmash - 2/21/2014, 2:23 PM
Corey - Have u seen Dave Bautista in other movies?
TheRationalNerd - 2/21/2014, 2:28 PM
It was alright, I think many people were just finally excited to see something from the film but it seems like a LOT of people are questioning "Marvel is making comedy's now?' But most people have to keep explaining that the Guardians are a humorous team in the comics.

I've personally never read any of their comics but I did see that one episode featuring them in "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" and I found it pretty entertaining! I would've honestly switched the release dates of Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man because it would've made more sense to have Pym play a bigger role in AOU. That way there would've been no need for an old ant-man and etc. (I still cool with it) it just seems like Guardians would've been best to introduce in the beginning of a phase 3 since that phase will be boosting the cosmic scale.

I'm sure Marvel has their reasons but you would've been looking at a few things different with Age of Ultron.
FordEl - 2/21/2014, 2:29 PM
It looked interesting but there was too much goofy dialogue. The forced comedy does not work.
TheRationalNerd - 2/21/2014, 2:29 PM
Oh and Groot only says 3 words in the film.

Basically..."I AM GROOT" lol
Seejay - 2/21/2014, 2:29 PM

Great. A nice introduction to the Marvel Universe and the characters.

That Blue Swede 70s song (hooked on a feeling) was, different, and actually kind of cool.

TheRationalNerd - 2/21/2014, 2:31 PM

Agreed, it was just a trailer but I did expect a but more to it than the humor. There will be action no doubt at all, I actually liked the short clip released with Rocket hyping up the prisoners! lol
MercSoul - 2/21/2014, 2:35 PM
@Nasseal0101 ...i hate transformers, and why u name inception? we are talking about comic book movies and i liked begins, it was the journey of Bruce...but in TDK...he...was still learning...i dont know, if you compare begins with TDK batman chance to worse...he didnt even see him in the shadows in the second one, is good for the act of Ledger, i liked both, ...(tdkr no so much) but i mean that not all the thing has to be dark in the movies when the people complains about the jokes of marvel, that all....and really, i hate transformes D: is almost a sin say their name, frick u Bay
ALmazing - 2/21/2014, 2:37 PM
@whysoserious54-why so serious?
KryptoKNIGHT - 2/21/2014, 2:40 PM
Promising but im holding back. The movie needs to have a solid tone and im still not confident its aware enough of itself. This is gonna blow, be mind blowingly cool... or just be decent. I dont have very high expectations but im hopeful.
JasonBlue - 2/21/2014, 2:46 PM
I love Chris Pratt so I'll watch!
JasonBlue - 2/21/2014, 2:46 PM
It won't be perfect but it'll definitely be entertaining and that's all that matters.
ATrueHero1987 - 2/21/2014, 2:49 PM
Like other people have said, you can tell who hasn't read the modern GOTG.smh

"seems like a LOT of people are questioning "Marvel is making comedy's now"?
What people??
jj72 - 2/21/2014, 2:49 PM
I thought it was good but not great however when I talked to a bunch of non comic book followers about the trailer they were quite impressed on its quirkiness and humour that they all wanted to see it. Looks like marvel and Disney got the attention of the average movie goer.
Personally I want to see a trailer that skips the intro of the characters and gets I to the meat and potatoes. Show Thanos and all those people will be like "That's the guy at the end of the Avengers!!!!!!"
ATrueHero1987 - 2/21/2014, 2:52 PM
Anyway, I loved the trailer but i did want just a tad more.lol

Next trailer though....
InfiniteMonkey - 2/21/2014, 2:56 PM
People still complaining about the comedy?
Go watch the Godfather series and be solemn and melancholy and alone.

There problem solved!
TexasAvenger - 2/21/2014, 2:59 PM
I thought it was awesome. Most of us had been dying to see some footage from Guardians. The people complaining about the humor in this film have never read a Guardians of the Galaxy comic in their lives, I'm sure of it.
batesmotel - 2/21/2014, 3:00 PM
I really like Gunn but dislike the Disney/Marvel universe
marvel72 - 2/21/2014, 3:06 PM
i didn't think it was perfection but i am counting down the seconds until its released.
MrCBM56 - 2/21/2014, 3:08 PM
"It was a good introduction to the movie, but I still need to see more."

With that said, still love it!
