Cbm of the year will go cap
Platinum - 2/23/2014, 2:46 PM
I still can't believe GOTG is happening. Such a gamble on Marvel's part, gotta give it to Marvel.

AllHailMegatron - 2/23/2014, 2:51 PM
It will be greatness
LokiOfAsgard - 2/23/2014, 2:53 PM
I'm hooked on a feeling!
Bl00dwerK - 2/23/2014, 2:55 PM
'Fraid not. It's gonna be Cap II...
ATrueHero1987 - 2/23/2014, 2:58 PM
Damn, all these summer blockbusters are around the corner. You better have your money right boys and girls.
GOTG, Godzilla, and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes are the movies I'm looking forward to the most.
DrunkenNukem - 2/23/2014, 2:58 PM
What happened to the Spectre @MrBlackJack??
Alfredo27 - 2/23/2014, 2:58 PM
Since both Thor and Ironman 3 were bad and are actually almost impossible to rewatch and The Wolverine was the CBM of the year last year, I think Guardian of Galaxy will be another movie that does well in theaters but bad with real comic book fans.
MrCBM56 - 2/23/2014, 2:58 PM
LMAO at the speed round.
MrCBM56 - 2/23/2014, 3:00 PM
I really really like the FF reboot cast. It's odd and unexpected but I have no doubt all of them will own. The only one I'm on the fence on is Miles Teller.
MrCBM56 - 2/23/2014, 3:00 PM
The rind two ring-a-ding-ding

ATrueHero1987 - 2/23/2014, 3:01 PM
In fact, has anyone made an article of the big movies coming out this summer yet?
19TheWebbedWonder62 - 2/23/2014, 3:01 PM
I believe guardians of the galaxy has potential but Tasm 2 will be cbm of the year. Like we all already know this. THWIP.
Destined - 2/23/2014, 3:09 PM
Agree with all about it going to Cap 2 hands down. GOTG will be the wild card and get intrigue.
marvel72 - 2/23/2014, 3:09 PM
i would love guardians of the galaxy to be the best comic book movie of the year, however i believe its gonna be out of captain america the winter soldier & sin city a dame to kill for.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/23/2014, 3:10 PM
Nope, that belongs to Cap. Days of Future Past a close second, if not possibly first.
LMB10 - 2/23/2014, 3:13 PM
X-Men will be the worst. Looks like complete garbage
Ramiel - 2/23/2014, 3:13 PM
FF is going to suck!

As for CBM of the year: TASM2 will make the most money, Cap 2 will probably be the best reviewed, and GOTG will be the most beloved by the fans.
cipher - 2/23/2014, 3:15 PM
I just finished readin' Annihilation: Prologue a few days ago.

Damn good stuff. All the GOTG hype's got me diggin' through Marvel's digital stuff, tryin' to catch up on all the cosmic stories. I feel like the only guy who hasn't read Annihilation yet, haha. I'll get there, though.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/23/2014, 3:17 PM
Yup, the director of the two best X-men movies, and arguably two of the best cbms, is going to have DoFP bomb. lol
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/23/2014, 3:18 PM
Why are people talking about FF? That is a 2015 film
WorstUserNameEver - 2/23/2014, 3:19 PM
In Singer we trust? :s
marvel72 - 2/23/2014, 3:20 PM
the amazing spider-man 2 will make the most dollar.

captain america the winter soldier will more than likely be the best comic book movie.

guardians of the galaxy shows the most potential.

sin city a dame to kill for will likely take the least amount of dollar but a movie for adults.

x-men days of future past i really don't know what to think of this,no decent trailer.
thewolfx - 2/23/2014, 3:20 PM
Dofp the best?

Haha i want what hes smoking
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 2/23/2014, 3:21 PM
I think The Amazing Spider-man 2 (That's a mouthful) is gonna do just the same as the first film. Average at BEST
marvel72 - 2/23/2014, 3:24 PM
@ cipher

see if you can find on there.

annihilation conquest
guardians of the galaxy (2008)
war of kings
realm of kings
the thanos imperative
guardians of the galaxy (2012)

that should be more than enough to keep you busy until 1st august.
marvel72 - 2/23/2014, 3:25 PM
oh i forgot nova as well a brilliant series.
TheRationalNerd - 2/23/2014, 3:26 PM
Everyone here should already know who I'm going with for best CBM of the year...

"X-Men: Days of Future Past"

And honestly I believe I'll love Cap as well, but I mean it just bugs me that I already know some of the twist set to happen within the movie by just looking at the TV spots and trailers. That's obe of the cons of bring a comic book movie fan, we're all familiar with the characters that we can spot them out very easily. It's actually quote amazing how we know the characters and genre so well we actually know where the movie's going before the general audience and movie goers.

I'm pumped for all the comic book movies coming out this year btw. But I have a strong feeling X-Men is going to deliver hard!
TheRationalNerd - 2/23/2014, 3:28 PM
Freaking auto correct "one" not obe and quite not "quote"
ATrueHero1987 - 2/23/2014, 3:30 PM
He'll, I'm interested in the Hercules movie with Dwayne Johnson. Though I need to see a trailer for it...
Jollem - 2/23/2014, 3:30 PM
toss-up between spidey 2 and x-men

"the big 4" look good, tho
MrCBM56 - 2/23/2014, 3:32 PM

Can't stress enough on how you need to read war of Kings.
TheRationalNerd - 2/23/2014, 3:33 PM
And money doesn't determine the best CBM it's all about the quality for me.

Quality > Quantity

And so far X-Men and Cap 2 look like they'll be the best quality the way I see it. Spidey and Gusrdisns will be VERY entertaining and action packed. It could honestly go both ways for Spidey and the Guardians to be honest. Trailers can be tricky and they can be truthful so we'll just have to see. So far it doesn't look like any films will majorly disappoint.
Dinotron - 2/23/2014, 3:38 PM
DOFP has yet to show me it looks as good as people claim it to be and I don't respect singer. They didn't even release the trailer they promised. The X Men series as a whole vaguely resembles it's comic book counterpart and the characterizations have been a let down in most cases. Yes I will see this movie but best CBM of the year? This far I don't think so

I will say that the last 25% of the movie is a huge battle switching from past to present in a large scale battle displaying each mutants power. That I will say sounds like it will be visually pretty sweet
cipher - 2/23/2014, 3:40 PM
72 & MrCBM- Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Appreciate it.

cipher - 2/23/2014, 3:41 PM
I feel like the last guy in a race.. drunkenly stumbling toward the finish line where I'll collapse in a pile of my own vomit.
cipher - 2/23/2014, 3:42 PM

Ignore me.
Kyos - 2/23/2014, 3:43 PM
Can't wait for the Guardians!

Looking forward to The Winter Soldier a lot.

Somewhat interested in seeing where the X-Men are headed.

Almost completely indifferent towards Spidey.
DaVinci31 - 2/23/2014, 3:43 PM
The dialogue was more "miss" than "hit" on my end.

Looks great though, everything Gunn and Marvel said it would be; now we need to see if they can execute.
Visualiza - 2/23/2014, 3:47 PM
That's a disingenuous thing to say, that a movie being more of an unknown quantity than another gives it some sort of arbitrary edge.

I doubt that lifelong LotR fans felt that way after Peter Jackson's trilogy had come and passed. Fact of the matter is, it's about the experience and the overall quality of the final product. Spoilers and plot details are but a small slice of the pie; you can't take points from a movie for what you know about it beforehand, or in this case, what you think you know. DoFP, as with any other movie, has as much chance at failing, whether it's a known quantity or not, as any other. Getting the drop on you isn't indicative of quality, just ask the folks who didn't like IM3.
