If you've seen any of the Fast & Furious movies, you'll know that Vin Diesel is one tough SOB. Perhaps that's why he's not afraid of Marvel and their usual level of secretiveness? Once again seemingly confirming that he has indeed joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the following video interview with IGN is well worth watching to check out the actors reaction when asked, a) whether his role will be revealed at today's Marvel panel and, b) if he's playing Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. Starkasm - 7/20/2013, 3:21 AM

Tempo - 7/20/2013, 3:27 AM

AmazingFantasy - 7/20/2013, 3:31 AM

sameoldthing - 7/20/2013, 3:32 AM

Vin Diesel has no hair on his arms what so ever. I'm sorry the weight of being a man was too much for you.
Ace101 - 7/20/2013, 3:42 AM
hell be great in any role they have speculated. im gonna put my ultra super rare card collection on the line here and and say its nebulas sex slave.
MightyZeus - 7/20/2013, 3:49 AM
I wouldnt mind if he was Rocket Raccoon!!!

Rocket Raccoon is going to be the best cbm character of 2014.
MrChuff - 7/20/2013, 3:49 AM
On his facebook page...
TheRedSkull - 7/20/2013, 3:52 AM
It's pretty cool to see him and other unexpected actors become part of the MCU. The chemistry on screen between him and Stark, Cap, and Thor will be awesome, no matter who he is playing.
SnapperCarr - 7/20/2013, 3:52 AM
Thanos or Groot or Vision
Danbojohnj - 7/20/2013, 3:54 AM
Make a good Thing, but thats not with Marvel/Disney? so I'll go with Thanos or Vision.
CherryBomb - 7/20/2013, 3:56 AM
I've always liked Vin Diesel,
he's an attractive guy with a good body and a goddamn sexy voice.

For him to have a role in any Marvel film is good news to me.
jp688 - 7/20/2013, 4:01 AM
No way Vision. Someone else.
RocketRaccoon - 7/20/2013, 4:03 AM
I don't think he is rocket raccoon but if he is I don't mind he is a great actor, rocket is a great character I am sure he will do great in the role and bring the character to life!
DrStrange - 7/20/2013, 4:08 AM
No talking raccoons!
CrimsonFlash - 7/20/2013, 4:14 AM
I can't think of a movie with Vin I don't like. Say what you will about the guy he makes fun movies and is undeniably charismatic
Seejay - 7/20/2013, 4:14 AM

This might be one of the most pretentious questions ever asked on this forum. But. Why would raccoon's have evolved on any other planet?

Marvel might do an epic fail with the silly Guardians of the Universe. Or, perhaps not. Well will see I guess.

Diesel is either doing racoon or Thanos.

Vital - 7/20/2013, 4:18 AM
He looks really excited about it, I like that.

NovaCorpsFan - 7/20/2013, 4:30 AM
He's voicing Groot, I'll bet.
SugarYumYum - 7/20/2013, 4:31 AM
Vin is cute. <3

Whoever he's playing, I can't wait to see him interacting with the other cast members.
mgeoff88 - 7/20/2013, 4:34 AM
I say he's either playing Vision or Rocket Raccoon.

@DrStrange You better make sure the guy who commented right up above you doesn't see that... Going by his picture, he already looks pissed off enough as it is.

TempleRod - 7/20/2013, 4:40 AM
When he says 'You heard the lady' at the end of the interview, I could see a little Rocket Raccoon there.
Whiteandgold - 7/20/2013, 4:58 AM
Damn you IGN video player!!
marvel72 - 7/20/2013, 4:59 AM
thanos would be awesome.
Danbojohnj - 7/20/2013, 5:03 AM
I think it would be almost a waste just to use him for voice acting,he should be on screen as well.He has the build for a superhero so why not?Still a solid choice whatever.
Luminus - 7/20/2013, 5:09 AM
@Seejay: Well, if the universe is infinite, it would actually happen. There are only so many ways matter can arrange itself within that infinite universe. Eventually, matter has to repeat itself and arrange itself in similar ways.
RamonSuarez - 7/20/2013, 5:15 AM
Mad Titan or GTFO, Marvel.

fortycals - 7/20/2013, 5:19 AM
According to the annihilators book, Rocket was genetically engineered in an space insane asylum. They made all the workers of the asylum cute furry creature from around the universe, to keep the crazies calm. Its a little much to put into one sentence, and did suffer from amnesia for a while.
Gmoney84 - 7/20/2013, 5:23 AM
The best bet for Marvel is to make look like a raccoon but not exactly. That way it would explain the name and also the alien origin.
GeekyCheekyChic - 7/20/2013, 5:23 AM
Scott Lang.
GeekyCheekyChic - 7/20/2013, 5:25 AM
hope that doesn't disappoint many. SHIELD AGENT SCOTT LANG AKA GIANT MAN. you heard it here first.
ATrueHero1987 - 7/20/2013, 5:25 AM
I guess we will find out later on tonight...
TheDpool - 7/20/2013, 5:30 AM
Diesl will bring a bit for macho to the marvel universe would be cool to see him as Thanos but Rocket Racoon would be cool too.
TelaVizion - 7/20/2013, 5:42 AM
I just can't picture him only doing voice work for a Marvel movie. He seems like the type of actor that Marvel would want to physically be in their movies
Greengo - 7/20/2013, 5:42 AM
Groot. Doesn't RR have an English accent?
RamonSuarez - 7/20/2013, 5:51 AM

With cap motion he would bring his physicality to the role. If you asked directors if body actors like Doug Jones or Andy Sirkis give their movie characters physical traits they'd answer in the affirmative.
spidey1994 - 7/20/2013, 6:02 AM
I still think he would make the perfect Drax, but hey. I think he's either Groot or Thanos
RamonSuarez - 7/20/2013, 6:18 AM

You are right. Marvel has gone out of its way to cast British voice actors for Rocket Raccoon in their cartoons and videogames. Why would they now break established continuity to get dude with a gruff NY type accept to voice act for him.
