The Mist - Creature Designs

Original pen and ink concept renderings for Frank Darabont's The Mist, which starred Thomas Jane, has been put up for auction on EBay. The art was created by comic book artist and creature designer, John Bisson.

"These particular designs were done for Frank Darabont several years before the movie was made. When it was greenlit, Darabont went back to his friends at Kurtzman, Nicotero and Berger FX Group, and had new designs done, which are what you see in the film." - EBay

Just revisited Outland and loved seeing Frances Sternhagen in The Mist, as well as the antagonist from Chuck "frakkin'" Norris's Silent Rage! Toby was good as well! You cut Gay Harden from the movie and this is a classic.

I haven't watched asylum yet but season 1 of AHS was okay... That finale sucked ass though!

I loved AHS season 1. The new season was good. Some cool stories. The finale of season 2 was good..but not sure if it was great may have to watch it again.

Also really liked the mist.

Does season 1&2 tie together?

The creature designs from "The Mist" look like something out of a HP Lovercraft story
pro346 - 1/25/2013, 8:06 PM
The mist was really good ...really underrated!
DioFoRio - 1/25/2013, 8:35 PM that's whats cool about the show. It's an ensemble cast that essentially does a different "play " each season. Different story. Next season is set in the heartland.
DioFoRio - 1/25/2013, 8:37 PM
@Batz. I liked it . Without getting to specifics. It was just so abrupt. But I was satisfied with everyone story arc conclusion. So glad it's not connected to previous seasons. Bring back the red headed maid though as some nudist character.
DioFoRio - 1/25/2013, 8:37 PM
@frank...I thought that was sorrta the gist of it. Like the old ones from another dimension.
DEATHbyEXILE - 1/25/2013, 8:41 PM
Young Moira was def. the best part about season 1

DioFoRio - 1/25/2013, 8:43 PM

JoeMomma29 - 1/25/2013, 9:15 PM

@DBE...she was so hot after she ...

@TankD ...yo the makeup on the actual actor surpasses that design so much , I thought that chick was a pinhead in the show for the longest till she had some real lines.

1st season of American Horror Story was real good,2nd season is pure garbage...a total mess.

The Mist is a great movie with chilling ending that's way better than the books ending, watch it if you have not done so.
DioFoRio - 1/26/2013, 7:10 AM No way . A mess, how?
DioFoRio - 1/26/2013, 9:57 AM

@TokenNerd-I hear ya! Was mentioning to my wife the other day about that very same thing. The [frick]ing ADS!!!!

Back to topic-cool [frick]ing designs!! Especially the mist! Very Bernie Wrightson inspired designs. One of my fav Stephen King stories of all time, besides The Talisman. Which, I wish they'd hurry up and get around to filming THAT book!
