Christuffer - 1/3/2013, 5:33 PM

Didn't Alvarez say something at the ComiCon panel to the effect of
"Did that shit look funny to you..." after he was asked about retaining some of the humor from the original?

Can't blame the dude for wanting to create a bad-ass bloody horror flick! I'm in!

It's been at least over 20 years since I saw the Original one and I am not going to watch that again until I have seen this one...

This is one Reboot Horror that actually looks pretty good...

GOTTA Love have the GORE and Creepines in this Trailer but have they shown us everything in the whole movie...

HavocPrime - 1/3/2013, 6:18 PM
I am a fan of the original, and I am liking what they have done in this remake.
MutantEquality - 1/3/2013, 6:18 PM

Okay. Y'know, the last time I saw Evil Dead II; Dead By Dawn was today. And I still had a fvcking great time. And I was thinking about this remake and hoping that Brucie's cameo would be of Ash, somehow, now, after watching this trailer...
It's a big budget Evil Dead. I've never seen that before. I've never wanted to. But it's still Raimi directing and it's that Cody chick writing and I'm not a Diablo Cody hater, I think she's pretty good, really, sooo...
Yeah. I'm sold. I'm in. I'm up for it.
It's not exactly Evil Dead 4, but it'll do.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 6:38 PM
I mean that was a pretty awesome fvcking trailer, right?
Bandrews1 - 1/3/2013, 6:46 PM
This is getting my interest more and more.
JredTheRed - 1/3/2013, 6:49 PM
ugh, i just dont know what to think about this....i love the original tilogy so effin much, but Ash is really what made the films so awesome...guess we will have to wait and see
JredTheRed - 1/3/2013, 6:51 PM
i wouldve loved it so much more if instead of this remake they wouldve made Army of Darkness 2. They couldve used the alt ending from AoD and had it start with Ash having gone to far into the future and the world be a post-apocoliptic world consumed by deadites.
Giznad - 1/3/2013, 6:53 PM
DukeAcureds, I don't think Raimi is directing, but I'm sure if Raimi, Campbell, and Tapert are producing, then we've got a winner
sexfoodcomics - 1/3/2013, 6:59 PM
The say plan and simple in the trailer that its re imagined. So don't expect the original
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 7:03 PM
Giznad@ Oh yeah, my bad, this Alverez guy's directing. His other film's do look pretty good when you overlook the fact that everybody talks in this weird nonsensical demon-speak that doesn't sound at all like English.
DukeAcureds - 1/3/2013, 7:05 PM
Oh it's Spanish, not demon-speak. My bad, again.
DioFoRio - 1/3/2013, 7:07 PM
looks good. Looks like everyone gets a whirl at the chainsaw too
Optimist18 - 1/3/2013, 7:25 PM
@DukeAcureds; Actually, I'd say this would be the end result of the long gestating "Evil Dead 4". From what I've seen, this isn't so much a remake, as it is "new bunch of hapless kids find the Necronomicon".
AsianVersionOfET - 1/3/2013, 7:27 PM
Sweet mother of Apollo...
zachshivey - 1/3/2013, 7:32 PM
holy guacamole........

those were prolly the best scenes though

*WOW!!! This really brings back memories, I was thirteen, my brother, fourteen, and my buddy from school, went down to the deuce (42nd street, before Disney) to watch three kung-fu movies for $2.50.
We exited the theater, asked a Rasta for the time, he told us it was twelve thirty, but in his thick Jamaican accent, it sounded like ten thirty, so we went to see mausoleum (google the movie and remember this was 1983), and evil dead (which was two years old, and added in as a filler), in the low budget theater, which at the time was using revolutionary technology.
Jumbo screen televisions, which a few years later, were in the homes of rich people, and drug dealers, across America; but anyway, I lived on ninety-forth street, the journey on the train, from the shuttle, too the six, then too ninety-six street, was the scariest of my life. Scared shit-less, we get home at four, "A.M". "One thirteen, and two fourteen year old children", in 1983, when crack started exploding, and things were much wilder, too find his parents waiting, on my stoop, to whip his ass. It was four in the morning, my brother, and I, survived the journey, and of course, my Dad, saved us from an ass-whooping. Think what you may, but I love him to death, for never forgetting what it was like to be young.
Maximus101 - 1/3/2013, 7:55 PM
I find basically every horror movie except for a rare few scare me or that I like but this one has my attention now for sure.
