San Diego Comic-Con 2018 was initially going to be the date that
Brightburn would be announced. Set for a late 2018 release at the time, James Gunn was set to headline a panel at Hall H introducing the film. Unfortunately, the movie was delayed due to the industry quaking events that occurred that morning. Now that everything has been resolved, the film's May debut is fastly approaching.
