First Full Teaser For ROSEMARY'S BABY

First Full Teaser For ROSEMARY'S BABY

CBM fave Zoe Saldana will take on the role made famous by Mia Farrow in the NBC remake of Roman Polanski's classic chiller. After the jump you can check out the first full trailer for the miniseries, which sees the GOTG actress begin to realize all is not right with her unborn child.

NBC’s four-hour miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby,” is an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin. Zoe Saldana will play Rosemary, the iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child.

Acclaimed director Agnieszka Holland, who has been nominated for both an Oscar (Europa, Europa) and an Emmy Award (Treme), will direct. Scott Abbott (Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Winchell) and James Wong (American Horror Story) wrote the screenplay. Production is underway in Paris, where the story is now set.

The original is downright creepy!!

Knowing that this is on NBC, there are certain things that can't be shown like what was shown in the original

Good trailer, though I probably won't watch it.
soforizo - 4/15/2014, 6:28 AM
Awake was awesome! Too bad it didn't get more seasons, but at least it was cancelled with a sort of conclusion.

first off the original is not overrated, its one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen. the LA LA LA LA LA LA lullaby song soundtrack to the eventual plot ending in everything in between is reminiscent of the worst nightmares I've ever had. There was no need to see the baby, the look on Mia Farrow's face was one of the scariest scenes in a movie and then when she remembered Satan's eyes it was like oh [frick].....

Secondly having jason issacs as the head witch or whatever is just eh, in the original, the heads of the coven were unsuspectingly sweet old people with no demonic motive that was visibly apparent.

And besides why make a movie where everyone knows the ending already. In the original she thought until the final scenes that there was a conspiracy to steal her baby and sacrifice it, not that the child itself was the devil.
