First I, FRANKENSTEIN Set Video Of The Creature In Action!

I can't tell if this is Aaron Eckhart or his stunt double, but what I do know is that this our first look at Aaron's character, Adam Frankenstein, in action. Also, another new and better picture of Aaron in costume has surfaced.

I, Frankenstein has been filming for the past couple of nights in Melbourne. The movie stars Aaron Eckhart, who plays Frankenstein's creature, that for the film is named Adam Frankenstein. The movie revolves around demons wanting to capture Adam so that they can learn the secret of reanimating corpses. They hope to use that knowledge so that one day they can create their own ghoulish army.

On Tuesday night, the movie's main actor, Aaron Eckhart, was seen in a long, dark overcoat on set, while stunt men practised running over cars and flying through the air.

Isn't this supposed to be a sequel to the Dark Knight?

There was some concept art floating around a while back of a mummy and a werewolf that were going to be featured in the movie. I wonder if they are still included in the movie. I'm excited for a different take on the famous movie monsters.

I think if your going to try to make this movie, you go all in with it. Judging by the make up, they didn't. His face isn't even noticeably disfigured. From that distance it should be pretty obvious. Just my opinion.
Sanderman - 4/18/2012, 10:30 PM
looks like a war veteran who is now a hobo..oh well maybe its just the angles or distance
laughterman26 - 4/18/2012, 10:57 PM
that looks kinda cool
FireKnightRises - 4/19/2012, 12:32 AM
it seems they dont have enough money for make up, he's not like monster franskenstein at all

looks like its low budget movie like dylan dog
pro346 - 4/19/2012, 2:05 AM
I think the budgets around 40 mil and I'm sure the australian government gives them some sort of tax refund.
TurboAwesome - 4/19/2012, 2:44 AM
I think....that's a neck prosthetic, leading me to believe there's a headpiece somewhere, and his eyes are dark just for blending in with the head/face. believe/hope that is.....

I spent a week on set. I, Frankenstein is certainly a very ambitious film, they're trying to do a lot with 40 million dollars and 9 weeks of filming.
I'm pretty sure they have deliberately made Aaron appear not too monstrous to give the film more of a contemporary feel. It's not because they couldn't afford it, because the film's gargoyles look very impressive.
I'm also quite sure that the video is of Aaron's stunt double who is a younger looking man.
dnno1 - 4/19/2012, 6:19 AM
Well, at least he can walk and run normally. Not like the old Frankenstein movies.
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/19/2012, 7:29 AM
Not really sure about what to think about Aaron´s monster look yet? But i ask this... Shouldnt Frankenstein´s Monster be a FAILED experiment?
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/19/2012, 7:29 AM
Or did Frankie created another Monster which looked more like a human being.
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/19/2012, 7:30 AM
Im not judging yet thou.
Dedpool - 4/19/2012, 7:33 AM
Well let's take into account this is supposed to be Frankensteins's monster hundreds of years later. This is supposed to be modern times. His scars and stiches wouldn't be so monstrous. That said they should've done something with his hair at least.
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/19/2012, 8:19 AM
Dedpool@ That brings another question. How did the monster became immortal. ;)
AlexDeLarge87 - 4/19/2012, 8:22 AM
Did Frankie somehow stop his aging process or something?
TheMyth - 4/19/2012, 9:12 AM
Calm down everyone. Have you ever seen stage makeup without the proper lighting and conditions for which it was designed? It looks silly. Not to mention that they will most likely CG in some of the more complicated and grotesque features. They do this ALL THE TIME in movies anymore, so don't get your panties all bunched up.
SpiderFan35 - 4/19/2012, 9:58 AM
Adam Frankenstein lol. He must get annoyed everyday:

What's the name sir?

Uh, Adam... Adam Frankenstein.

Oh, ok. Um, you probably get this all the time but are you related to, you know.. THE Dr. Frankenstein?

Yeah I'm, I'm his creature actually.

Oh wow, can I have your autograph?
Tainted87 - 4/19/2012, 10:19 AM

Fake scars, prosthetics, make-up, and cg altering aside - Aaron Eckhart is too good-looking to be undead.

Nice cast though.

On a side not, I think it's hilarious how some fans will bemoan the fact that their favorite or desired comic book character isn't easy to adapt into a movie, or can't be made into a movie, or simply isn't because no one wants to commit to something like it....

and then you have crazy stuff like this and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Nothing's impossible, just don't bet on the quality.
AUSSYACE - 4/19/2012, 10:02 PM
I thought he would look a little more Horrific and just who he really looks like in real life...
