First Teaser For Guillermo Del Toro's THE STRAIN

First Teaser For Guillermo Del Toro's THE STRAIN

It's not actually footage from the FX adaptation of the trilogy of vampire novels from Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, merely a found footage style viral vid -- though those with a bit of Musophobia may want to steer clear! take a look after the jump.

The Strain finds Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and his team battling a mysterious viral outbreak that appears to bear all the hallmarks of an ancient strain of vampirism. The condition spreads, and soon Ephraim and a group of ordinary New Yorkers are battling for the fate of humankind. The cast also features the likes of Kevin Durand, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Robert Maillet, John Hurt (though he’s only in the pilot, and David Bradley will take over his role in the series) and del Toro regular Doug Jones.

The Strain will air in 2014.

What comic book is this based on?
TheGreenBastard - 12/3/2013, 12:58 AM
It's based off the horror graphic novel of the same name. As long as this is better than Pacific Rim, I'll check it out.

Doctor Octopus' mechanical arms in the scene with dude walking past cases. And dare I presume next to the good doc's appendages, vultures wings?

I find this prejudiced against Rats. They are actually very clean affectionate animals.
Motts24ma - 12/3/2013, 8:16 AM
Finally something with serious Vamps no more friendly shining Vamps
RexDartEskimoSpy - 12/3/2013, 5:04 PM
Rats from the pet store are clean and affectionate. Rats from under NYC are vicious, disease-carrying vermin. Plus, rats are a metaphor for the plague-like way the vampire virus spreads.
damntree - 12/3/2013, 6:30 PM
Prejudice against rats? Lol, good lord.

Anyway is this going to be some found footage crap?
