Full Theatrical Trailer For CARRIE Hits

Check out the first full theatrical trailer for the upcoming horror remake starring Kick-Ass' Chloe Moretz after the jump. Be warned though, if you're not familiar with the original movie or the novel by Stephen King this trailer gives a LOT away..

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

Carrie is directed by Kimberley Piece and also stars Julianne Moore, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday. The movie hits theaters October 18th, 2013.

Looks amazing
jessepostal - 4/4/2013, 5:01 PM
Anyone catch Carrie's phone number at the end? I bet i know where this is going to go :)
Anton - 4/4/2013, 5:04 PM
Teaser was better, I do agree with sKeemAn, they showed everything they could show - VERY WEIRD, also it reminds of the original movie too much, didn't Kimberly Peirce say that she tried to stay as far from it as possible?

Also, I can't see Carrie movie with PG-13 rating, like, seriously. Towel ruins the whole shower humiliation scene, girls have to be naked, that's the whole point.

Plus, I don't see no transformation of Carrie whatsoever. She is beautiful girl at the beginning, she is beatiful girl at the end. It's like The Amazing Spider-Man all over again, when Peter Parker didn't change at all.

Very intense trailer. Cue to people complaing about "oh no, not anotehr remake"

As long as they intend to make them, they might as well make them goos and this certainly seems to be so.
GreekLantern2814 - 4/4/2013, 5:16 PM
why do you have to wait for so long... we ( greeks ) are going to see this movie in 20 days..
PsychoManiacJacky - 4/4/2013, 5:19 PM
A trailer that gives away the whole entire movie once again. Congratulations Hollywood and your marketing team of fudgenuts. You really know how to make a great trailer.
Just when I thought the madness would have stopped with the Prometheus Trailer...

Okay...so,why did this movie need a remake/reboot or whatever it is?
Don't answer ...it's rhetorical.
abw2 - 4/4/2013, 5:22 PM

I might see it... Still, haven't decided yet... *cool*/P :)

Dev - 4/4/2013, 5:24 PM
Could be similar to a movie version of the kid from Looper. ;)
Durf - 4/4/2013, 5:27 PM
Highly unnecessary remake, but this looks okay
RorMachine - 4/4/2013, 5:29 PM
Actually, as faithful as the first movie was in many ways, it left quite a lot from the book too. This will most likely have a lot more in it.
thor19b - 4/4/2013, 5:29 PM
Damn! It has already been done 2 times! ENOUGH OF THE REMAKES!
CyberBishop - 4/4/2013, 5:30 PM
She is way too pretty to be Carrie.. I loved the original and the ending scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it.. I will go see this when it comes out.
CaptainProg - 4/4/2013, 5:30 PM
Where’s Professor X when you need him! Carrie should join the x-Men.

NorseGod - 4/4/2013, 5:45 PM
So they want everyone to know that there is nothing original to this movie by showing everything that happens in the story in pretty much the same way and order as the first one.
MrReese - 4/4/2013, 6:19 PM
Looks ok I guess
mk - 4/4/2013, 6:19 PM

kevshardlemonade - 4/4/2013, 7:24 PM
How about some good and intense orignal horror movies? Like the movies these remakes are ripping off were.
PapaEmeritus - 4/4/2013, 7:35 PM
Meh. Totally lame. Plus, Moretz is too cute to play Carrie. DePalma classic version will eat this like a snack.
Shadowmaster35 - 4/4/2013, 8:03 PM
The one movie where everyone freakin died and i was absolutly ok with it.
CharlesLord - 4/4/2013, 8:07 PM
trailer was intense as hell. They did give everything away but its not like we dont know wats gonna happen. We just know its gonna have more carnage than the OG
ahhmynuts - 4/4/2013, 8:11 PM
totally gonna sit in the back of the theater for this one...
SigmaCenturion - 4/4/2013, 8:15 PM
The studio could have produced a few newer titles instead of remaking this movie again. For the love of christ hollywood has lost its balls.
Gulon180 - 4/4/2013, 8:20 PM
i really wish this was a mock trailer, to whet the palate for something that "could be". instead its nothing more than a something we already know by heart and there is no new story to learn and fall in love with. Who would want to play second fiddle to DePalma anyway?
CaptainProg - 4/4/2013, 9:02 PM
@ CptHero & BRAD3GUNN :)
Ceejay - 4/4/2013, 9:21 PM
There was something fresh-faced about Sissy Spacek that added to the innocence of the original movie adaptation. This version with a cutey Morentz as the lead is going to miss that aspect. It may however compensate with far more spectacle.
