Those who aren't fans of the original will avoid this movie like the plague if this is the marketing campaign. I love it, but the general audience...
whoa123 - 7/8/2013, 9:16 AM
I love the poster but I also hate it haha. Still gonna watch this though, even if Oldboy is one of my all time favorite movies.
wcwpoet - 7/8/2013, 9:30 AM
Oh boy I feel for the people that never saw the original. I heard they stick to the Manga, prepare for a gut punch once you reach the end.
Jolt17 - 7/8/2013, 9:36 AM
Awesome poster. Still waiting for a chance to check out the original - or the manga, whatever comes first - but I'm excited for this.
valeriesghost - 7/8/2013, 9:36 AM
This poster is different than the usual movie posters we see, and that is kind of a nice change, but WTF, this is not what i expected. For some reason i'm thinking Neo emerging from a box into the Matrix.

I'm a big fan of the original, i hope the do it justice. I'll be seeing it in the theater.
valeriesghost - 7/8/2013, 9:37 AM
Does anyone know if the original movie is that different from the manga? I've never read it.
jp688 - 7/8/2013, 9:38 AM
Loved the original version, this should be good.
jimoakley666 - 7/8/2013, 9:52 AM
I like that poster. Very nice. Not a photoshop mishmash.
fettastic - 7/8/2013, 10:24 AM
That's a very creative poster that provides the feel of the film in an unusual way.
supermarioworldE - 7/8/2013, 11:05 AM
Looks like a cohen bros. movie.
Bam - 7/8/2013, 11:14 AM
Pretty lame that the inevitable sex scene wont pack the same punch since I've seen the original.
Rodney21a - 7/8/2013, 11:26 AM
Spike lee makes shit movies
AsianVersionOfET - 7/8/2013, 11:26 AM
Dope poster. I don't care much for Spike Lee, but I keep getting more and more excited for this. Bring on the trailer!
Reviewscrub72 - 7/8/2013, 11:37 AM

Do yourself a favor and check out the original.
GodzillaKart - 7/8/2013, 11:52 AM
Spike Lee makes shit movies? I haven't seen many of his films, but Do The Right Thing and Malcolm X are both fantastic films.
knocturnalzen10 - 7/8/2013, 1:00 PM

yea that's the extent of his powers it seems at this point , he only just complains now on how racist other flims are. smh he had a few others but nothing like those 2
JakeMurdock89 - 7/8/2013, 1:20 PM
The original film blew my mind especially the ending. Not sure about this as a remake but will def check it out. Also not a huge Spike Lee fan.
jmorin - 7/8/2013, 1:34 PM
The original is streaming on Netflix right now for those that use Netflix.
IronManny819 - 7/8/2013, 1:36 PM
Glad this poster at least says "Spike Lee film", instead of "Spike Lee joint". Always thought that was super pretentious.
Azrael725 - 7/8/2013, 3:11 PM
ummmmm . . . okaaaaaay . . .
Nubase - 7/8/2013, 3:16 PM

nowtheresaBATman - 7/8/2013, 3:37 PM
all I can picture is Johnny Depp crawling out of that chest either as Cpt.Sparrow or as Raoul Duke. lol
nowtheresaBATman - 7/8/2013, 3:37 PM
Thx I will, sounds good.
Kyos - 7/8/2013, 5:56 PM
Ooooookay... (*_*)'

Loved the original movie, haven't read the manga yet. This could be good. Not that big a Spike Lee fan, although Malcolm X was great. I just noticed for the first time that Sam Jackson is in this, I wonder if/how he and Lee discussed Django Unchained.
ANIMUS84 - 7/8/2013, 8:39 PM
Can't Wait
teebtime - 7/8/2013, 9:16 PM
One of my fav movies period. Really hoping Spike does this version well but I am sure that he will. The manga and movie do differ, mostly the violence id=s the main difference, but the movie is superior to the source is my opinion
CharlesBryant97 - 7/9/2013, 2:50 PM
I expected it to say "A SPIKE LEE JOINT".
CharlesBryant97 - 7/9/2013, 2:51 PM
Do The Right Thing is amazing!
