indy could of prevented world war 2.

raiders is set before world war 2,if you think about indy is asked if he will go in search of the ark & get it before the nazi's do.

at the end of raiders the nazi's open the ark,if indy had said f*ck it let them have the ark they would of took it back to germany & opened in front of hitler preventing world war 2.

He's a statutory rapist if Marion is to be believed. "It was wrong and (he) knew it!"

@marvel72

So now WW2 is Indy's fault?
That hardly seems fair, and it's not even that simple.

Let me ask you this...do you think that national socialism and the Nazi movement in Germany at that time was driven and only sustained by one man?

That if he was killed, suddenly the entire ideology would immediately cease?

If not, and there were many people committed to the same cause and agenda, killing Hitler isn't really the solution to everything if the wheels were already in motion. It certainly isn't an ironclad guarantee that no other similar 'patriot' with the same belief system would fill the vacuum.

I think you'd have had to kill a lot more men than Hitler to stop WW2 around the time Raiders took place.

If the ark did that, then maybe it would happen.

Screw you, buddy....too bad there is no "down thumb" button.
Ace101 - 1/31/2014, 4:05 PM
As much as i love indiana jones, i must admit he really didnt have to do anything, the villians pretty much were killed by the objects they sought at the end of raiders, temple of doom and crystal skull. and in last cusade the grails effect pretty wears off once you leave the temple.
inkslinger616 - 1/31/2014, 4:05 PM
[frick] your embedded video my phone sucks

Ugh, if only there was a Thumb down button.
GuardianAngel - 1/31/2014, 4:29 PM
What a bunch of whiny pricks. No one's saying the movie sucks, they're just tossing some fun at the films. Fanboys are the worst type of audience.

Love the podcast, guys!

Big Bang Theory took the idea (almost word for word) from the book "This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't Touch It" by David Wong. Also known for "John Dies At The End". Read a book!

Never said I wasn't joking. Watched the video awhile ago. BUT...

I'm willing to bet that at 34, I'm one of the older people on this site. Old enough to have watched and remembered the last 3 chapters in the theater. These movies changed my life, just like Star Wars. I got older I learned how to write and wanted to do it for a living. I became a Father. I learned that being a "Geek" is hereditary. My five year old daughter is a HUGE DC/Justice league fan-- she was Black Canary (minus the fishnets of course) for Halloween. I'm a Marvel guy. She loves Star Wars and The Princess Bride and all of the Tim Burton BATMAN flicks, ESPECIALLY "Batman & Robin" She lives in a house where all of our drinking glasses are vintage fast food chain glasses...one day she was drinking out of a glass with Indy from "Temple of Doom" on it, you know: ripped shirt, bloody, machete raised... she looked at me and asked "Daddy, who is THIS guy?" She was really excited. Well, I decided she might be ready for Indiana Jones. We watched "Temple" first. She loved it. She sat perfectly still for the entire length of the movie always on the very edge of the couch. The next day we watched "Raiders". She asked if she could be Marion for Halloween."We'll see." I said. The day after that we watched "The Last Crusade". This was her favorite. When River Phoenix shows up as young Indy she clapped and exclaimed "Daddy! It's the boy from the movie about the boys who walk in the woods, smoke cigarettes, and say bad words!" I smiled proudly. She asked if she could be Elsa for Halloween. "No." I said. When Elsa **SPOILER** died she got VERY VERY ANGRY. She cried. I explained to her that it was just a movie. She asked if there were any more Indiana Jones movies. I hesitated. "Yes." "When can we watch it Daddy?" We waited a bit after that. I don't hate on "Crystal Skull" I like to say I enjoy the Indiana Jones movies in the order they were released. So all of this snow got her a few extra days off from school and I asked if she was ready to watch the NEWEST Indy movie. She was stoked. I turned it on realizing it would be the first time I had watched it since it was in the theaters. In "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" there is an early scene when Indy turns around slowly revealing that he's you know, old. My daughter lost her shit at this point of the movie. She turned and looked at me with a look somewhere between sadness and disgust. Then she yelled loudly "WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM??? WHY IS HE OLD?? IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!" I explained to her (somehow I was able to not start crying with her) that the last movie was made 20 years ago and Harrison Ford "You remember Han Solo, right Honey?" aged like everybody else did. "But that's not FAIR! They should just get a YOUNGER person to play him! And he should fight SHARKS!" I swear to Jebus I am not making ANY of this up. I got her to calm down and give the movie a chance. She did. Then she found out that Indy had a SON. All was right again to her. All was right with me. After the movie was over I felt like Butters did "I liked it!" It was great to see someone have such a passion for a character like I did when I was that age, what made it beautiful was that it was my Daughter. Point is, these movies are for EVERYONE and everyone is going to have an opinion about them. I love me some Indiana Jones.

Sorry If my earlier comment offended anyone.

@kendospawn
