Ah, there it is.

Anyway I kinda geeked out seeing Downey on stage with Norman Reedus.

Daryl Dixon = AMC cash cow

Iron Man = Marvel cash cow

They'd be good pals.
whoa123 - 1/9/2014, 4:57 AM
Carrie won over The Conjuring?! Dafuq is that?!
Kurne - 1/9/2014, 5:01 AM
Btw, when people mention The Mandarin/Trevor in IM3, can you not call it "The Mandarin Twist"? It sounds like a smoothie or dance move.
Kurne - 1/9/2014, 5:01 AM
Bullock's speech was funny.
SageMode - 1/9/2014, 5:02 AM
The people have spoken. IRON MAN is the new "it" CBM superhero. Not bad from only 2008.

Lozzy - 1/9/2014, 5:03 AM
Here comes the Iron Man 3 hate.
TopCat89 - 1/9/2014, 5:05 AM
Rick Grimes over Walter White...wwhhhaaattt?!
SuperCat - 1/9/2014, 5:05 AM

DefcoN - 1/9/2014, 5:05 AM
See? People don't give a sh*t when it comes to source material, they just want to have a good time.
TheWolverine08 - 1/9/2014, 5:07 AM
"See? People don't give a sh*t when it comes to source material, they just want to have a good time"

More or less.
MrCBM56 - 1/9/2014, 5:09 AM
Sigh. Sigh. SIGH.
RynerLute - 1/9/2014, 5:10 AM

IM3 still shitting on the lames.

Worst CBM ever right? Hahahaha , you haters can't catch a break.

AoS gonna get renewed too, you fools on suicide watch!
Kurne - 1/9/2014, 5:11 AM
I will be crying when/if Hunger Games or Man of Steel win in their categories next week at the Critics Choice Awards.
MrCBM56 - 1/9/2014, 5:11 AM
Carrie won?! Over Mama and the Conjuring?! DAFUQ?
MrCBM56 - 1/9/2014, 5:12 AM
And of course Adam Sandler won over Cooper and Galifanakis. Sigh.
SuperCat - 1/9/2014, 5:13 AM
You know this awards show is a joke when Tatum is nominated.

Demongod20 - 1/9/2014, 5:13 AM
charlie2094 - 1/9/2014, 5:14 AM
Don't really agree with many of these choices, how Carrie beat conjuring, or Walking Dead/Rick Breaking Bad etc, at least these don't really mean anything

Glad for Marvels success at least, even though I felt Iron Man 3 was a huge disappointment, for many more reasons than just the butchering of a potentially decent villain.

The majority of the people who saw Iron Man 3 wouldn't have touched a comic in their life, so of course it doesn't mean anything to them
Enphlieuwince - 1/9/2014, 5:15 AM
Now, hate the movie all you like, but, you can't doubt it's place in history. IM3 will be remembered as a good movie by most.
Ocelot - 1/9/2014, 5:15 AM
Rick Grimes an anti-hero?
Gamera623 - 1/9/2014, 5:16 AM
Why are Man of Steel and Thor 2 not even nominees?

If my only multiple choices for best movie are
Despicable Me 2
Fast & Furious 6
Iron Man 3
Monsters University
Star Trek Into Darkness
Id pick Iron Man 3 as well...despite MoS And T:TDW and Pacific Rim and Hobbit 2 and Catching Fire all being better movies.

Were these 5 movies also voted by "the people"?
Enphlieuwince - 1/9/2014, 5:18 AM

I was confused by that too...
charlie2094 - 1/9/2014, 5:18 AM
Heck, Johnny Depp won favourite actor and his only film this year was the Lone Ranger....this is just a popularity contest, not for actual quality...yeah, these mean little to nothing

JediPhilosopher - 1/9/2014, 5:21 AM
I would say this movie was entertaining and at least he didn't crap his armor in a drunken stupor. I'll be happy when they return to quality though. The kind of quality that was IronMan 1 and Avengers.
Enphlieuwince - 1/9/2014, 5:21 AM
" yeah, these mean little to nothing"

They're ever so slightly more significant than the Awards that people were gloating over, huh?
DefcoN - 1/9/2014, 5:22 AM
@Charlie2094 And that's where I think Marvel wins, because some of the GA might get interested enough to pick up a comic for the first time after watching their movies. Hell, that's how they got me back in 2008!
TheRationalNerd - 1/9/2014, 5:24 AM
The "people's" choice awards.

Not the "fans" choice awards. :)

charlie2094 - 1/9/2014, 5:25 AM

Well yeah of course, but again, this is really nothing more than a popularity contest, hence Walking Dead winning, Depp winning (despite his only film being a flop) etc
Enphlieuwince - 1/9/2014, 5:25 AM
E tu, The BlackNerd?
RynerLute - 1/9/2014, 5:26 AM

You might as well change that to fans who matter if you're gonna go that route.
TheWolverine08 - 1/9/2014, 5:26 AM
@DefconN The number of people who decide to pick up a comic after seeing a CBM is next to few. CBM viewing is more of a short entertainment excursion for most of the general public.
charlie2094 - 1/9/2014, 5:27 AM

I'm with you on that. All of Marvels films have been entertaining/funny, but many haven't come close quality wise to Iron Man 1...hoping Winter Soldier is a return to form, certainly has the potential to be
CaptShipwreck - 1/9/2014, 5:27 AM
Don't you people get tired of fighting flame wars purposely set up by the powers that be on this site ?
Kurne - 1/9/2014, 5:27 AM

"Rick Grimes an anti-hero?"

Well, Rick is basically the Raylan Givens of The Walking Dead... He pulls out his revolver in every scene as long as another being is present :P
MightyZeus - 1/9/2014, 5:28 AM
Glad to see Gravity winning most of those awards. Good to see The Walking Dead winning two awards as well but as some one brought up why is Rick Grime listed as an anti hero?

The best part about Iron Man 3 is Robert Downey Jr just being Tony Stark. So yeah i give credit to where it's due.

RynerLute - 1/9/2014, 5:29 AM
Iron Man is overrated , I cringe every time someone tries to pawn that off as Marvel's best outing.

It gets due credit for kicking off this party, but idk, I find myself watching the First Avenger way more on Netflix than Iron Man.

CaptShipwreck - 1/9/2014, 5:29 AM
Stephen Amell must be rolling over on his grave
Dev - 1/9/2014, 5:30 AM
RDJ and IM 3 deserves those awards, say what you want about the mandarin twist it was a pretty descent movie. Man of Steel isn't even among the bunch for a character that has existed in movies for over 30 years, oh how the mighty has fallen to a character that only existed in movies since 2008 (5 years).
Enphlieuwince - 1/9/2014, 5:31 AM
@0megaDaGod - 1/9/2014, 5:25 AM

"Yea, I think I'd rather listen to the winners as voted by around 100 random guys on CBM, as opposed to 700,000 people voting with no bias attached and only their movie going experience to base their votes on"

Reading between the lines, 0mega says...

TheWolverine08 - 1/9/2014, 5:32 AM
"Did they have any idea how many scenes Downey's stunt double did over the 100% realistic scenes Hugh Jackman did in The Wolverine?"

You're going to rustle some Marvel Studios fan's jimmies with this line Black Nerd!
