IRON MAN 3 INTERVIEW: Guy Pearce a.k.a. Aldrich Killian Explains Extremis

In this spoiler-free bit of our exclusive interview with Guy Pearce, he details that Extremis perfects more than just the physical body...

Stay tuned to for the full interview with Guy, including discussion about his "spoiler" in the movie.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.

“Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Intro was loud as [frick], and you cant even hear the interview.
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 1:26 PM
Yeah, sorry. The bumper music is a bit high on this.
Gmoney84 - 4/24/2013, 1:29 PM
Galactus, what's the word on FuturePast/PastFuture/PastPresent?
CaptainAmerica31 - 4/24/2013, 1:29 PM
Lol "spoiler free"
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 1:35 PM
Now that I'm back from my two week work/vacation to CinemaCon and the Iron Man 3 press screening/junket, I can keep jerks like him off the site.
GeekyCheekyChic - 4/24/2013, 1:36 PM
^thank you. that was an annoying lil wanker
GeekyCheekyChic - 4/24/2013, 1:37 PM
that was for Big G
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 1:38 PM
I only got to ask one question to RDJ in the big press conference--no one on ones. I'll post it within the next week. I asked him how negotiations were going for 4,5 & 6. He was only at the junket for three hours so very few news outlets got the chance to interview him (or Gwenyth).
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 1:44 PM
We're on it.
DanteSparda - 4/24/2013, 1:51 PM
I wonder, how could this interview made it to the top 4 articles of the front page but the new trailer of Thor didn't?
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 1:59 PM
Hold onto your panties Dante, I'm working on the top story graphic right now.
DanteSparda - 4/24/2013, 2:04 PM
My panties and I thank you Galactus!
RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 2:17 PM
This guy should have been DC-Warner's Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel franchise. But as usual, they blew and Marvel beat them to the punch.
scapegoatjones - 4/24/2013, 2:19 PM

while I agree with you enthusiastically that this spoiler run-amok guy needs to get pimp slapped with the ban hammer, he's not actually the one who ruined the movie.
scapegoatjones - 4/24/2013, 2:20 PM
he just spoiled the disappointment.

I can't wait to see it anyway.
PeterParkerofGotham62 - 4/24/2013, 2:44 PM
Only 2 hours and fifteen minutes to go
SomTingWong - 4/24/2013, 2:44 PM
Galactus just reminding u that the deadline to that fan-Fic contest is this Sunday and u said that u would suply the winner's prize.
ComicBookMovie - 4/24/2013, 2:56 PM
Just send me the winner's info when he/she is chosen.
WarnerBrother - 4/24/2013, 2:56 PM

Perhaps you should wait until you see the guy WB casts as Lex Luthor in MOS2 or JLA before saying they blew anything.
thewonderer - 4/24/2013, 3:04 PM

Ken Wantanabe should been the Mandarin in IM3, but as usual Nolan beat Marvel to the punch and cast him in Batman Begins and Inception.

RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 3:06 PM

Sorry, whoever they choose can't do a better Lex than this. Take away the British accent nd you have Luthor.

RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 3:07 PM

Sorry, Wantanabe is not as good an actor as Kingsley.
thewonderer - 4/24/2013, 3:31 PM

Sad response.

Well you are right about one thing, Kingsley is a fantastic ACTOR.
PersonaPostOvo - 4/24/2013, 3:33 PM
Marvel need to stop hyping up Mandarin. Why the need for hype if a lot of people here at think Mandarin is not that great and believe the twist is justified???
RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 3:41 PM

LOL. You contradicted yourself. If Kingsley is amazing then....
RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 3:42 PM
@PersonaPostOvo -

Because most people aren't fanboys.
RamonSuarez - 4/24/2013, 3:43 PM
The Proposition was f-cking awesome. He was also the shit in Momento. And funny as hell in Priscilla Queen of the Dessert.
JorL5150 - 4/24/2013, 4:58 PM
oh- BS! you show me a better (non-hardcore) gay movie than priscilla!

Meady - 4/24/2013, 5:26 PM
I saw it last night i wasn't sure what i was watching lethal weapon crossed with iron man 2. Guy perce is good...

What a let down!
CaptainFalken - 4/24/2013, 8:12 PM
So, off topic, but did anyone else hear about this garbage box office legal dispute between Disney and Regal & AMC? Because of this, I (as well as many others, I'm sure) have no way of seeing Iron Man 3 at midnight, or any other time in the foreseeable future. Regal and AMC are the only theaters around me. I was really optimistic about Disney controlling Marvel properties, until now. Seems that now that they have complete control (Avengers was the last movie to be tied to Paramount), they're going to be jerks about it. Fan-friggin'-tastic.
AmazingFantasy - 4/24/2013, 11:32 PM
Kingsley was a [frick]ing JOKE
pepe - 4/25/2013, 1:20 AM
Phase 2 started out as a joke... So whats next? ... My G*d, they´re going to ruin Thanos!
AmazingFantasy - 4/25/2013, 4:11 AM
A comedy for all ages!
Fogs - 4/25/2013, 8:13 AM
Jeez, you guys really want to spoil the movie, don't you? Why do that?
RetroFit - 4/25/2013, 9:24 AM
Good that Galactus is back. But perhaps you could arrange for somebody else to have the ability to ban users while you're gone for 2 weeks at a time? That guy RUINED the movie for a TON of people. I have extreme reservations about even coming on here again if that sort of nonsense is going to exist for more than 20 minutes. I'll just go somewhere else that is properly monitored and administered. Amateur stuff, man.
RetroFit - 4/25/2013, 9:26 AM
Actually, looking at the posts in this thread already it looks like a culture of jackassery has been firmly established and I can expect this will continue and thus ruin damn near every movie for me through the actions the clowns that have been attracted here by the lenient environment. See ya!
Minato - 4/25/2013, 9:45 AM
@Retro FIt
Welcome to the CBM life. This has always been an issue with this site The Trolls are always going to be here dont blame Galactus for providing such an awesome site that people wanna come here to piss people off. Just automatically assume that your going to be spoiled everytime you visit this site.
UltimaRex - 4/26/2013, 4:35 AM
I liked it. I can see where CBM'ers are coming from but as a movie it's good. Not "very" good just good.

Though if you have a movie where the henchmen have the best lines then you have a problem...
Ryden - 4/26/2013, 5:10 PM
I just got back from seeing the film and I really enjoyed it. I liked the scenes with Stark and Harley, and the fact that we got to see Tony kick some ass without the suit. All good stuff. I did take issue with the twist though. Obviously won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet, but as a fan it bothered me. Saying that though it did work for the film and was at least a fresh take.
