Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. The film opened in theaters May 3, 2013. It stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

Amazing. I love how Tony can just "park" his armor outside of restaurants, now. That's a very nice touch.

Dammit!!! I commented first on this article...who deleted it???????

end battle was very dark. like, tim burton dark. couldn't make out much. i'd imagine it was even darker in 3d. it would have been nice to see more of the other suits. it's kinda like they had 5-10 second cameos
Mike89 - 7/9/2013, 6:39 PM
Too bad the movie sucked.
MarkV - 7/9/2013, 6:46 PM
The artwork is top notch.

The whole idea that you can jump in and out of different sets of armor during battle, is ridiculous and really ruins the whole concept of what makes Tony Stark iron Man.

Iron Man 2+3 destroyed the Iron Man character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disgusting and pathetic.
Jollem - 7/9/2013, 6:46 PM
what was amazing or memorable about the movie? the part where rdjr. did his one-liner jokes?

HellsHammer - 7/9/2013, 6:51 PM
Yeah this movie sucked hard.
jcfrommars9 - 7/9/2013, 6:52 PM
Nice art :)
Fogs - 7/9/2013, 6:53 PM
Loved this movie.
Banner - 7/9/2013, 6:54 PM
Iron Man 2 is the best movie of the three, the last movie was a total disaster with The Mandarin's similarity with Jim Carrey's Riddler from Batman Forever.

HellsHammer - 7/9/2013, 6:54 PM
That was better than the actual movie
MegatronLP9 - 7/9/2013, 6:54 PM
Oh My God Just Shut The FRICK UP about how you all rate IRON MAN 3 it was a great movie and the only thing bad with it was the way all you "fans" rated it. Comic Book moves are for entertainment and to see great actors and productions bring them to life so just SHUT UP!
HellsHammer - 7/9/2013, 6:55 PM
Also if we are going by RT than TDK is the best CBM. DC wins.
Mike89 - 7/9/2013, 6:56 PM

The teaser trailer from last october was also better than the movie.
BillyM67 - 7/9/2013, 7:00 PM
Iron Man 1 was the best, two sucked and three was a let down....the Mandarin storyline could have been great, but they pulled a Lone Ranger and dumbed it down and ruined the movie. At least we have the Avengers 2 Iron Man to look forward to.
Lawlessone - 7/9/2013, 7:00 PM
This movie still sucked! Just another director that didn't know anything about the material and sell outs running it all. It's bad enough that they ruined the manderian, but I thought I was watching an episode of McGuiver, and then at the end Tony is so pussy whipped he blows up all his armor to impress Pepper. What a wuss!
Jollem - 7/9/2013, 7:03 PM
@HellsHammer - i dunno, the best part in the whole movie might have been the clincher with the kid(target demographic). we go through a whole lotta b.s. with the kid, but then we find out the real reason he is in the movie: to remind tony that..."oh yeah, i can make stuff". duh. so what does he do then? he goes to menards and gets stuff to make a tazer glove
TheSisko - 7/9/2013, 7:04 PM
This movie rocked! Loved Tony and Rhodey friendship, love Pepperony, Loved Mandarin twist. I loved how howshane black's dark humor, it fits Tony well. Also loved how this film had heart and was not mindless violent disaster porn like MOS.
Banner - 7/9/2013, 7:06 PM
It's like the Iron Man suit appeared in the movie for only 20 minutes, the rest is about Tony in his casual wear with a whiz kid. Ben Kingsley reminds me of Sacha Baron Cohen's The Dictator character. Plus I can't believe that Iron Man who in the Avengers was a complete bad ass kicking alien butt all over the place was given a run for his money by a guy who resembles a burning charcoal.
cerrone6 - 7/9/2013, 7:07 PM
This movie was brilliantly done..took a heck of a chance with a twist. I really enjoyed Iron Man 3. It deserves the billion + its getting.
TheSisko - 7/9/2013, 7:07 PM
@lawlessone it was about caring about Pepper not impressing her.
Mike89 - 7/9/2013, 7:10 PM
This movie was like the Mark 42 suit. It looks badass. But its completely worthless, and constantly falls appart.

the trailers sold a lie. shamelessly over-hyped

nothing to do with the mandarin, also. there is so much bad going on here besides the mandarin fiasco
Dick - 7/9/2013, 7:17 PM
I think the mistake that they made lies in the Movie trailers. The people expected a high octane kick butt movie because they've seen a lot of Iron Man armors in action, they even drooled over the Hulk Buster armor so they expected a lot of wham and bam moments just from the trailers, instead they are forced to watch a kinda soap opera feel to it when Tony had a kid as a sidekick in the movie, plus the Mandarin who in the trailers looked like an Osama Bin Laden kinda bad guy is actually an idiot.
TheSisko - 7/9/2013, 7:19 PM
I love it that the Mandarin who has not been relevant for years suddenly has a fan following. I guess some fan wanted the predictable instead of something they never saw coming. I personally like it more when films do not spoil the whole film in the trailer.
HellsHammer - 7/9/2013, 7:25 PM
Iron Man > Avengers > IM2 > IM3
Lawlessone - 7/9/2013, 7:29 PM
Shane Blake and all the writers such!
exe - 7/9/2013, 7:33 PM
More like Iron Hack 3. Such a turd movie.
subzero1077 - 7/9/2013, 7:37 PM
Worst CBM ever made! MoS is movie of the summer.
MrReese - 7/9/2013, 7:40 PM
Jolt17 - 7/9/2013, 7:43 PM
If anything, the script of Man of Steel is far lazier than Iron Man Three's.

I think I should run away, now.
ALmazing - 7/9/2013, 7:44 PM
Both IM3 and MoS were disappointing, both are examples of how excess can ruin a movie.
Mike89 - 7/9/2013, 7:45 PM

For once i agree with Hitler. lol.
superotherside - 7/9/2013, 7:54 PM
I liked this movie.
113 - 7/9/2013, 7:55 PM
Terrible terrible movie.
Jolt17 - 7/9/2013, 8:18 PM
MrMartinMarvel: Nah, I'll stay here... :)

Because, to be honest, I do want CBM's to be cinematic art, with preachy messages and, especially, metaphors. That, if done right, will provide a clever way to put a spin in adapting these characters. Of course, I share the joy in seeing faithful adaptations, but if you can make it something else - and in a good way - why not? Iron Man Three is just that, to me, and anyone who disagree can go...on with their opinion.

But maybe, now is the right time for me to run and hide.
