Kevin Feige Speaks On IRON MAN 3 Winning Big At People’s Choice Awards

Hit the jump to see what the Marvel CEO has to say about Iron Man 3 winning big at the People’s Choice Awards. Also his message to the fans! "I’d like to thank all the fans". Check it out!

Feige's thoughts are below.

"On behalf of the entire cast and crew of Marvel’s Iron Man 3, I’d like to thank all the fans who helped make our film not only the number one movie of the year, but now one of the biggest winners at the People’s Choice Awards. As always, Robert put everything he had into the character of Tony Stark and Iron Man, proving yet again why he is one of the finest actors of his generation. But none of this would have been possible without you, the fans, which is why these awards mean so much to us.”

Iron Man 3 (stylized onscreen as Iron Man Three) is a 2013 American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Iron Man, produced by Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.1 It is the sequel to 2008's Iron Man and 2010's Iron Man 2, and the seventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, being the first major release in the franchise since the crossover film The Avengers. Shane Black directed a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce, which uses concepts from the "Extremis" story arc by Warren Ellis. Robert Downey, Jr. reprises his role as the title character, with Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprising their roles as Pepper Potts and James Rhodes, respectively. Jon Favreau, who directed the first two films, serves as an executive producer and reprises his role as Happy Hogan. Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, and Ben Kingsley round out the film's principal cast. The plot has Tony Stark trying to recover from posttraumatic stress disorder caused by the events of The Avengers, while researching the background to a terrorist organization led by the mysterious Mandarin.

As much as I like Iron Man 3, the people's choice awards were a joke. How the hell did Carrie beat the Conjuring? When I saw Carrie, I couldn't stop laughing we she started her period in the gym shower. When I watch the Conjuring, I have to take breaks because I get so scared. And Rick Grimes is a better antihero than Walter White?!
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 8:48 AM
Or Adam Sandler winning an award............ :/
JoeMomma29 - 1/10/2014, 8:48 AM
LOL! It is the Peoples Choice Awards not the Oscars............
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 8:53 AM
Joe - People Choice awards are the only awards Marvel studios will ever get.......
themidnightking - 1/10/2014, 8:54 AM
@banesmash that is when I lost faith in humanity lol
JoeMomma29 - 1/10/2014, 8:56 AM
@ BaneSmash

Yeah but the Marvelites will say hey we won a big time award!!!!! When you win an award form an organization that gives an award to Adam Sandler the same night well that is something I would hide.

@joemomma Isn't Iron Man 3 nominated for a BAFTA for visual effects?
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 9:08 AM
@themdnightking - It was nominated.
JohnnyRoss - 1/10/2014, 9:14 AM
It'll probably get an Oscar nom for visual effects as well.

It has a good chance at least.
themidnightking - 1/10/2014, 9:16 AM
@banesmash was Man Of Steel nominated?
rorywilliams - 1/10/2014, 9:17 AM
CBM POSTER: "Whatever the movie was still shit this isn't even a big deal."
CBM POSTER: "In fact it's so small a deal that I'm gonna go comment and complain about it again to show how unimportant it is."

I can't believe how many of you fat losers are still trying to diminish IM3. It was a great film which many LOVED. Get over it and too do a sit-up.
nuclearpriest - 1/10/2014, 9:18 AM
I swear, the DC Buttboys spend more time in Marvel threads than they do in DC ones. There has to be a Gal Gadot thread somewhere on this website. Shoo!
Amazing512 - 1/10/2014, 9:19 AM
IM3 deserves every award it receives and you unappreciative fans deserve s**t.
LexHairFight - 1/10/2014, 9:19 AM
Any award is good for all cbm's. Stop whining, its unbecoming of you guys.
ALmazing - 1/10/2014, 9:21 AM
Remember when TDK won a bunch of People Choice Awards in 2008? What a stupid movie right? (Sarcasms, just in case)
AGoodHonestMan - 1/10/2014, 9:22 AM
Has he heard the results of the prestigious Comicbookmovies.com Awards? Who cares about the opinions of over 700 million people who voted for the People's Choice. The only thing that matters are the opinions of the 20 trolls and nerds who frequent Comicbookmovies.com.
Desrow - 1/10/2014, 9:24 AM
The same "award" that makes Adam Sandler also a winner??

Good for Iron Crap 3, Marvel Studios bringing B movie comedies since Disney buys out.
LexHairFight - 1/10/2014, 9:26 AM
God Damn people chill out. The name calling and whining makes YOU look bad, not the person/thing you are directing it toward.

It's a bit unfair for the Hulk to laugh at the size of anybody's tallywhacker isn't it? I mean, if he so much as turns in the wrong direction with that pole of his stickin' out, he'll slap Lady Liberty's head clean off the island and into the ocean.
themidnightking - 1/10/2014, 9:30 AM
@custer I think you are talking about the teen choice awards lol
cipher - 1/10/2014, 9:31 AM
GalGadotOneBoobLight- Heh, you've certainly got a way with usernames, mate.
NovaCorpsFan - 1/10/2014, 9:33 AM
Desrow

You ever win an award?
ALmazing - 1/10/2014, 9:36 AM
@NovaCorpsFan-He is in the wall of shame almost daily.
Havensent - 1/10/2014, 9:39 AM
IM3 was well worth every win it got. Congrats Marvel!
AGoodHonestMan - 1/10/2014, 9:40 AM
@ ALmight

LOL!!! A future Hall of Famer no doubt. Along with Mantinuim-er I mean 1to10.
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 9:44 AM
@Melkaticox-Heath Ledger won the Oscar for his role as the Joker. Anything else?
ALmazing - 1/10/2014, 9:45 AM
@AGoodHonestMan-Yeah, I'm surprised 1to10 is not here making some "Disney kiddie comedy lol" comment.
DefcoN - 1/10/2014, 9:46 AM
@ALmight LOL, so true!
GodzillaKart - 1/10/2014, 9:47 AM
The people's choice awards are a joke...but IM3 was fantastic.

I go back and forth on whether IM3 or T:TDW was the best CBM of the year. T:TDW was more enjoyable IMO, but the script of IM3 was brilliant.
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 9:48 AM
Yoss - A Barbie that actually squirts!!! Where the [frick] can I get one?
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 9:49 AM
God- Mos is the true winner of 2013.
ALmazing - 1/10/2014, 9:52 AM
@BaneSmash

"God- Mos is the true winner of 2013"... that didn't get nominated for anything. Sad but true.
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 9:55 AM
Mos was just snubbed big time...................
themidnightking - 1/10/2014, 9:56 AM
@godzillafart what was your favorite scene from Iron Man 3?
BaneSmash - 1/10/2014, 10:00 AM
The midnight- You're not asking me but it was when the credits started rolling............ :)
ALmazing - 1/10/2014, 10:02 AM
@BaneSmash-As much as I didn't see eye to eye with MoS, it should have been nominated for Best Visual Effects.
