When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. DioFoRio - 11/17/2012, 12:37 PM

DioFoRio - 11/17/2012, 12:37 PM

superotherside - 11/17/2012, 12:38 PM
It confirms the other armors! Awesome! Bring it on!
Hellsboy - 11/17/2012, 1:11 PM
i hope we get to see a proper hall in 3. not the wall of armors we have right now
Minato - 11/17/2012, 1:18 PM

They already confirmed that Stark makes the 42 and it control upward of 30 armors.
Moakynubs - 11/17/2012, 1:18 PM
The other 40 or so suits may not be ones that were ever produced: Tony could do something similar to Extremis where he goes "The suit is too clunky and slow and bulky now, I need to speed it up and slim it down and keep the durability and functionality but I haven't had much success". So he could have 40ish designs for other suits, or maybe some specialized suits, Hulkbuster, Space, etc.

I believe the one in the final battle of The Avengers was the Mark-VII
BlackFlash - 11/17/2012, 1:21 PM
I cant wait to see the Hot Toys version of both of them.
BackwardGalaxy - 11/17/2012, 1:38 PM
So, they're definitely still calling him War Machine, then... and not Iron Patriot. That's kinda weird.
OptimusPrimeTime - 11/17/2012, 1:41 PM
@@LEVITIKUZ. the avengers armor was the mark 7...everyone was calling the gold armor for IM3 the mark 8 until they revealed that tony refers to it as the mark 42.

My guess is that he will use the gold mark 42 throughout most of the film and will get his ass handed to him in his first major fight....the scenes from the opening of the trailer where he is laid on his back and pulls the mask off. Sometime after that he'll undergo the extremis procedure and control a bunch of other suits with the 42 and for the final fight we MIGHT get a new armor that hasn't been showcased yet. Who knows!!
OptimusPrimeTime - 11/17/2012, 1:42 PM
All I ask is that the final fight be 1) longer than 3 minutes and 2) NOT against someone else in a god damn suit!!!
BrowniesExplode - 11/17/2012, 2:08 PM
The iron patriot name was just a rumor based on the set photos and was never confirmed
CharlesLord - 11/17/2012, 2:10 PM
Sage wins. I love that movie
DCMarvelFreshman - 11/17/2012, 2:12 PM
@MCUFan1 It was confirmed. It's not Norman Osborn, but the armor is Iron Patriot. Marvel acquired the name "Iron Patriot" for licensing purposes. And there are toy listings with "Iron Patriot" on them.
DCMarvelFreshman - 11/17/2012, 2:13 PM
BTW, no one's saying they'll call it that in the movie. But the War Machine armor was never called the "War Machine" armor either.
AztecRainGod - 11/17/2012, 2:58 PM

At one point, while Tony and Rhodey are duking it out in the armors, Tony yells " Comeon, do you have what it takes to be the War Machine??"
AztecRainGod - 11/17/2012, 3:00 PM
While they never explicitly name the armor, I thought that was pretty cool.

Kind of how the leader says to Emil Blonsky "The combination could turn you into an Abomination" In the hulk movie.
DCMarvelFreshman - 11/17/2012, 4:03 PM
@aztecRaingod yeah I remember the nods to the armors with lines. But I mean literally calling the Iron Patriot by that name, like Tony calls his armors "Mark 1, 2,...etc"

And I think Tony said "you think you have what it takes to be A war machine. Wasn't referring to the armor directly, Mark 2 wasn't modified yet.
thorhulk77 - 11/17/2012, 4:05 PM

aztecRaingod is right. He was like, "You want to be a War Machine? Take your shot." Lol something like that. Cant wait.
Maximus101 - 11/17/2012, 4:30 PM
That's dumb that they won't even show what they look like. Man of steel will be the best cbm next year followed by iron man 3 then Thor.
BrowniesExplode - 11/17/2012, 4:33 PM
@DCMF okay and true
Fogs - 11/17/2012, 5:17 PM
Wasn't it mark 47?
KaneVonDoom - 11/17/2012, 5:32 PM
Yeah... I could've sworn it was Mark XLVII (47) as well.
Bark4Soul - 11/17/2012, 5:57 PM
Buying both, count it
Funsize - 11/17/2012, 9:41 PM
Oh well they showed us those bobblehead thingies a while back too which revealed a lot of what the suits can be
Fogs - 11/18/2012, 3:47 AM
Well if it's 42 it adds for its nerd value (only the strong will understand).
SugarYumYum - 11/18/2012, 9:15 AM
What's the point of this "announcement" if they don't show the figures? I wanna see. ;__;
