Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. TheGambitFreak - 5/4/2013, 10:40 AM
Sweet! Now for the next 42!
TheGreenBastard - 5/4/2013, 10:40 AM
Nice, the suits look cool, I particularly like Blue Steel.
Lightsplasher - 5/4/2013, 10:40 AM
Wow ! Too bad that they couldn't show all of em' in the movie ! The movie was awesome through ! Would have been great if they shown the Hall of Armors .
UrbanTheEmcee - 5/4/2013, 10:49 AM
IM3 was poorly paced, I found myself laughing because the audience did, and there was a series lack of Tony being Ironman. The action was good, but this movie is not a great start for phase 2. Don't even get me started on super Pepper. Good thing we still have MOS & Thor left this year.
thewonderer - 5/4/2013, 10:50 AM
Film is a very nice 7/10 for me. Iron Man 1 is a 9.5/10 while Iron Man 2 is a 6/10.

Its sad really. Rebecca Hall is a fantastic actress completely wasted here. Ditched by Tony at the start and then murdered by Killian. Great character arc.

Kingsley is all comic relief and personally, as mad as I was about the horrible twist, I did enjoy the jokes they had with him. Still was so let down.

The kid is easily one of the worst parts of the film, although he bring some of the best jokes of the film. The "fathers leave, don't be a p***** about it" joke was freaking genius. I was hoping they would stay on course away from the cliche inspiration stuff but no they did it. The kid talking Stark out of an anxiety attack is one of the stupidest things ever in a CBM. I'm sorry it was.

FANTASTIC action set pieces, kudos to the final battle and making Pepper a pretty badass love interest.

The great action and humor cannot mask a horrible plot, horrible twists, horrible new characters, horrible ending, and horrible after credits scene.

Was just so let down by it overall.

I saw it last night. It was pretty good, but not great.

y did this movie suck as much as TDKR?
untipoconboina - 5/4/2013, 10:57 AM
Mark 27 reminds me of Deadpool.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/4/2013, 10:57 AM
Intruder is [frick]ing drunk. The Mandarine was butchered so [frick]ing bad. By far the worst portrayal of a villain in comic book history. Other than that and a few other gripes it was a good film. 7/10
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/4/2013, 10:57 AM
MrReese - 5/4/2013, 10:59 AM
well I shouldn't say sucked more like a disappointment
MrReese - 5/4/2013, 11:00 AM
they were both shitty at least Bats got 2 good movies in its trilogy ;)
MrReese - 5/4/2013, 11:02 AM
Bane broke the Bat and was there in presence Trevor not so much. While shitty I'd rewatch TDKR b4 I'd watch IM 3
SpainAvenger - 5/4/2013, 11:04 AM
Saw the movie 3 times, it's just getting better and better every time.
TheAbomination - 5/4/2013, 11:06 AM
Wish we could have seen more of the Iron Men and the hall of armors in this movie.
AlexanderLykins - 5/4/2013, 11:07 AM
We still have Bleeding Edge, Extremis (Completed), Godkiller and Hulkbuster to get to! I'm holding out hope that we will see all four by the end of the MCU!
Lizardking310 - 5/4/2013, 11:07 AM
Killian was the mandarin ! The twist didn't bother. The tons of plot holes bugged me and the ending. Why did he blow up the suits?? And so did he use the extremist on himself or not? The film is never clear on that
thewonderer - 5/4/2013, 11:08 AM
MartinMarvel, because action and comedy mean a a film WITH PRIMARILY ACTION AND COMEDY.

Parts were horrible to me, but nowhere did I say it was the shittiest film on earth. A 7/10 is a good score and the marvel fans still find a way to get mad at me.

Do people need to insult other films to make themselves feel better?

TDKR and Iron Man 3 both have above 75% on RT. NEITHER ARE BAD FILMS.

Seriously, people are so mean on this website.
Franshu - 5/4/2013, 11:08 AM
You know, I had been thinking the same thing.I honestly can't believe they'll leave the whole Ten Rings/Mandarin story like that
TexasAvenger - 5/4/2013, 11:16 AM
@thewonderer I give it an 8/10 but I'm not a hard grader when it comes to CBMs cuz I pretty much enjoy all of them for the most part. Except GL. That movie left a really bad taste in my mouth. Idk why you catch a lot of flack on here. I don't think you're trying to be antagonistic or anything.

I loved the movie but the one thing I absolutely HATED was that he destroyed his suits. Why? All those beautiful armors, gone. :'(
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 5/4/2013, 11:16 AM
How many times has Tony actually been in the suit? Like twice?
Abary - 5/4/2013, 11:16 AM
Cool, best ones are Mark 22, Mark 27, Mark 33, & Mark 39...
Lizardking310 - 5/4/2013, 11:17 AM
@marvelpsycho. Where to start with the plot holes??? First so how did stark get over his anxiety? What was killians plan? Why did he need stark to do? What was the point of maya Hansen?
NightForce - 5/4/2013, 11:17 AM
Pshh. What a [frick]ing waste.
ALegendaryPanda - 5/4/2013, 11:18 AM
The twist sucked [frick]ing giant dangling horse cock. But I still liked the movie 3.5/5
Superheromoviefan - 5/4/2013, 11:18 AM
We need HD pictures of all the suits!
Awesome stuff
kenjim152 - 5/4/2013, 11:22 AM
I dunno whats more hilarious all this posts defending the great twist and the mandarín or the movie itself .
NightForce - 5/4/2013, 11:25 AM
What the hell was putting all of these suits in the movie? We literally saw them for 20 seconds before Tony Stark blew them all up. Disappointing movie.
JacksonVegaIII - 5/4/2013, 11:25 AM
Am i the only one who thought IM3 was a bit rubbish, i had such high hopes coz shane black - good, kingsley- great, Pearce - Great, Downey Jnr - good but christ i was ready to leave the theatre within 30-40 mins. All the IM films havnt had a good villain or a decent finale. the extremis soldiers wer incredibly poorly built up n the mandarin was just weak
NightForce - 5/4/2013, 11:27 AM
How people can actually defend the twist with the Mandarin is flabbergasting. It felt so out of place in the movie it hurts my brain just thinking about it. I thought we were giving Iron Man a great villain for the first time and he turns out to be a joke.
TheGambitFreak - 5/4/2013, 11:28 AM

"y did this movie suck as much as TDKR?"

I have no problem with the vehement remarks and people bitching out of their shitholes about how they hated this movie (Much of those people, ironically being the ignorant morons that hated Captain America, but that comment, that is a pure insult.

Did you get bored during Iron Man 3? Shit, I didn't. Not exactly edge of my seat, but it was a hell of a way to start summer 2013 and Phase II. During TDKR I had to keep an eye on my pulse to check and see if I was still alive. I fell asleep a few times. Then again, I moan even at the opening credits to Law & Order... Boring, prolonging shit.

And for those who are pissed off at the Mandarin twist, I get that there are those of us, including myself, that have received a higher form of intellectual processing than others, but come on!

In Captain America, there are a ton of "plot holes". The montage of the action scenes, etc., they are done on purpose! You see, the writers carefully (And brilliantly) crafted The First Avenger, where, in future films, they could go back to ANY point in time in Cap's life and not screw up continuity. You want him to meet Nick Fury in WW2? Done. Team up with Torch, Union Jack and Namor? Done. If you couldn't and still can't see how that is smart, then go watch Teen Titans Go! Maybe that's as high as a "thinking film" as you need to see...

As for Iron Man 3, terrific. Hiring a stoner who sucked off some dudes for weed and drinks beer, to make some terrorizing videos to make the enemy run into their homes while you go behind the scenes planning to ultimately threat the security of the country, confusing the hell out of the government and heroes, it's awesome. The whole time (Side Note: I knew of the spoilers before seeing the film), I thought and still believe Killian is just a pawn for a bigger, badder threat. Think of Loki to Thanos. That's what Killan was. A syndicate of Mandarin, whom the two struck a deal and got power-crazed and thought of himself as the head-honcho. I don't think he was the "Real Mandarin". The Mandarin is still out there, hiding.
TexasAvenger - 5/4/2013, 11:29 AM
@lizardking Killian wanted to start a war with the USA on one side and "The Master" on the other, supplying Extremis soldiers to both sides & profiting off of it. Killian had the vice president in his pocket the whole time, hence why the Pres needed to die. Own the new president, own the whole country. They needed Tony to perfect Extremis.

How some people didn't get that boggles my mind. I mean, Killian laid it all out for the audience.
TexasAvenger - 5/4/2013, 11:31 AM
If we get Bleeding Edge or the black & gold armor for Avengers 2 I will lose my shit.
spidey1994 - 5/4/2013, 11:35 AM
Those armors are badass!
GodzillaKart - 5/4/2013, 11:35 AM
Just got out of IM3. Absolutely fantastic and solidifies the IM trilogy as the best to date.

Ben Kingsley's Mandarin is one of the most intelligently written and best acted villains in any CBM, regardless of so many fanboys missing the point.

I'll write a full review on Monday, but today it's a beautiful day in Michigan and I'm gonna go plant a bush.
NightForce - 5/4/2013, 11:37 AM
That's one thing I didn't understand about this movie: the ending. It tried to have "closure" even though it is part of a larger universe. Stark is going to be in Avengers 2, why in God's name would you have him blow up all of his suits? This movie was a mess.
And regarding the Mandarin, with an organization like SHIELD existing, with all their intel wouldn't they have found out about Trevor Slattery and Killian a while ago???
ShogunNevets - 5/4/2013, 11:38 AM
Too bad they all blow up. All that work for nothing.
SageMode - 5/4/2013, 11:39 AM
Just got back from seeing it.

Awesome film. The Extremis goons were badass, the finale battles was badass, Pepper was badass in this, the humor didn't seem overdone as some made it see like.

And yes, I get a feeling that the REAL Mandarin will show up later in the future.
