That's good. I enjoyed the movie and adding ANOTHER Mandarin would just ruin it for me. It creates even more plotholes like, "what the [frick] was the REAL REAL Mandarin doing while the REAL Mandarin was controlling the FAKE Mandarin?"

why am i not surprised at all ... I'm sorry, but once i see Latino Review my brain tells me to look the other way.
What ever happened to that Dr. Strange script review ? Oh wait ... i know. Once a powerfull scooper but now ...

(last time i checked he was right about those Racoon/Cooper rumors)

Secret Marvel - Ben Kingsley project is probably all about Trevor.

I don't mind the twist. But i do mind they teased us with some really great villain and left us with Guy Pearce. Plus the Iron Man 3 finale was a little weak too. That is untill Paltrow saved the day. But that's just my opinion.

@jerryblake

I agree that it's probably just about Trevor. The one-shots are usually fun quickies, that ARE one-shots. They aren't something you need to see to get the movie, really. It's probably going to be as impactful on the MCU as the one with Coulson in the convenient store.

What El Mayimbe was wrong about something? That's so weird because he's never wrong. Ever.

you speak like Marvel did never [frick]ed up any of their movies. Their movies are not perfect at all. The best of the bunch is probably first Captain America. Then the Avengers. Thor was good, but it have it's flaws. Iron Man was medicore. Funny but medicore. I still think Iron Man 2 was better. Hulk (Norton's Hulk) was good untill third act and the final. Iron Man 3 is rather forgettable. Funny but forgettable.

The real problem ? Marvel can't handle drama. Besides Thor (thank you Branagh), CA:TFA, and Avengers (some good dialogues here) they always want the humour to come first. I don't mind the humour, but i would really like to see something different. Good heavy drama comic book movie from Marvel would be nice ... Punisher ? Daredevil ? That ain't gonna happened anytime soon.

Singer's X-Men was the first comicbook movie that changed the rules. Heavy drama, great dialogues. Even Nolan stated to Jackman that when he saw the movie for a first time he felt that Singer did with X-Men what should be done with Batman.

First 40 minutes of X-Men part one are still a little masterpiece. Logan and Rogue car scene, anyone ? Magneto and Charles first scene ? Rogue at home with her boyfriend ?

If people can accept Iron Man 3's Mandarin there's no reason why anyone can't accept Spider-Man 3's venom! lol
SpiderParker
SpiderParker - 10/30/2013, 8:36 PM
Iron Man was mediocre? Mandarin getting compared with Venom? Whoa..
jerryblake
jerryblake - 10/30/2013, 8:36 PM
Sure, the movie went down a little bit, after first 40 minutes (once the Sabretooth showed up) but it quickly reedemed itself by taking us to the school, showing us first Charles/Cyclops/Storm/Logan meeting. It got silly at the end (it's a still comic book movie. Most of them doesn't stand he test of time because of the outdated action or cheesy dialogues) but it still one of the best comic boo movie around. I dig it better than First Class.

Also, he just said they will not apologize for the twist, he didn't debunk it. They might very well have planned the double twist all along.

The Mandarin was not done properly. It was good until it turned out to be Trevor. Maybe next time, don't get the guy who directed buddy cop movies to direct.

i liked that scene when he was thanking Tony for how he treated him at the begining of the movie. That he made him stand up for himself.
OcciferPing
OcciferPing - 10/31/2013, 2:19 AM
Exactly. If you didn't like the twist oh well deal with it. It worked on a number of levels. Re-doing it would just show Marvel has no balls and can't stick to their guns.
