With over 80,000 signatures; consistently strong DVD/Blu-ray sales and a sequel comic set to arrive next week- the Make a DREDD Sequel campaign will ramp up another notch with a display of increased support and demand for a sequel film. You too can help...

"On 18th September, we're encouraging everyone to take part in a massive DREDD SEQUEL DAY OF ACTION - we've already made the moneymen who could get behind a sequel sit up and take notice by consistently keeping the DVD and Blu-Ray in the charts on Amazon and now on Netflix.

We're asking everyone who's signed the petition to come together next Wednesday and drive DREDD back up the charts - if everyone who's signed the petition bought an extra DVD or Blu-Ray (either for themselves or as a present for a friend) or rented/bought it on iTunes and Netflix it will send the loudest signal yet that WE WANT MORE DREDD!

So spread the word that on Wednesday 18th September, you're going to bring DREDD back into the public eye! Plus, it's the day that the new comic book sequel comes out, with lots of media attention planned for this and the campaign.

Thanks to Rebellion for helping put this newsletter together - we're also really pleased to reveal that the official T-shirt for the campaign is now available, so you can wear your support with pride!

So, you ready?"

Dredd: Underbelly picks up where the critically-acclaimed movie left off, with Judges Dredd and Anderson fighting the tsunami of crime on the mean streets of the dystopian Mega-City One as perps try to fill the power vacuum left by Ma-Ma's death.

Starting in Meg#340 is the first part of the 3 part story: 'Underbelly' - scripted by Arthur Wyatt and illustrated by Henry Flint.

marvel72 - 9/12/2013, 7:19 AM

INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 7:21 AM

Don't forget to click that red thumb to promote this article to the front page.

JoeMomma29 - 9/12/2013, 7:45 AM
Way better than expected, hopes it gets a sequel.
TheRationalNerd - 9/12/2013, 7:49 AM
Count me in!
Sumitsjc - 9/12/2013, 7:49 AM
Now this is how you do Petition.....#SequelisComing
gaikinger - 9/12/2013, 7:50 AM
In my humble opinion....GREATEST CBM EVER! can watch this over and over and still get better tingles than Chris Matthews watching Obama taking a shower.

Beware the greatest Dredd troll ever ( weneedrevelation ) to stink up this page with something.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 7:51 AM

It can work as both films and TV series. The myriad variety of Judge Dredd stories can be made to suit either medium but a sequel is more likely at this stage.

PC04 - 9/12/2013, 7:52 AM
I watched Dredd for the first time just a few days ago and was really impressed. I'd definitely purchase a ticket to see a sequel in theaters.
gaikinger - 9/12/2013, 7:52 AM
McGee - Dredd series on HBO or some other cable network with the same team.....i would jizz all over my office.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 7:53 AM

Buy a blu-ray or DVD and it will increase the chance.

Whiteandgold - 9/12/2013, 7:55 AM
I would love a sequal. But I don't have the money to buy the movie, GTA 5 and PS4 is what Im buying
GodzillaKart - 9/12/2013, 7:57 AM
I appreciate that Dredd stayed gritty and violent, but it was really just a kinda OK film.
ComicFan1134 - 9/12/2013, 7:57 AM
Like The Movie But, I Think Urban Was A Bit Goofy With That Scowl, IDK, It Just Seemed A Bit Much...
JamesMan - 9/12/2013, 7:57 AM
DREDD was the biggest surprise for me last year. Amazing using of slow motion and action on a budget of only $45-50 million. I've done everything I can to get people to see it and I'm glad to see its already large fanbase still growing! DREDD 2 now!
GodzillaKart - 9/12/2013, 7:58 AM
For Dredd to be really interesting, they need to bump up the social commentary aspect of it. Without that, he is a pretty flat character.
Greengo - 9/12/2013, 7:58 AM
[frick] YEAH!!!

I'm I haven't bought it yet but I will own one on the 18th and I've watched it several x's on Netflx already.

Just remind me on the 18th : )
ConquerorKang27 - 9/12/2013, 7:58 AM
Why is this happening. My wife and I watched Dredd last week. It wasn't even worth the dollar it cost me at the Redbox. It amazes me how people liked this movie, yet hated Man Of Steel and Into Darkness. Bad taste in movies abound.

Honestly, I think the Stallone Dredd was more entertaining than this movie. That one sucked too, but at least it one good actor in Armand Assante.

Maybe they should actually make a good film worthy of a sequel, instead of one that needs a petition to be made. Lol Dredd.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/12/2013, 8:01 AM
I want a Hellboy/Dredd film crossover. Bring Spawn also.
imnotwearinghockeypants - 9/12/2013, 8:02 AM
Definitely deserves a sequel, great movie.
JorEllinator - 9/12/2013, 8:02 AM
I'm in and Levi...
INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 8:03 AM

Gusto - "I pledge to download a bootleg on Sept. 18th!!!"

Thanks; it was downloading that boosted blu-ray sales so it works as promotion.

Ranger14 - 9/12/2013, 8:07 AM
Didn't care for the film...at all. From Dredd going from normal voice to the gravelly voice (why?), to the annoying slow motion (i get the drug thing, but still found it annoying) and no real threat other than numbers of people with guns. I found it to be redundant and weak overall. The only fight he had in which there was any sense he had a formidable opponent was against the other judges. One I will never watch again. Sure the violence was gritty and frequent, but it takes more than violence to make a good movie.
SpiderBat209 - 9/12/2013, 8:07 AM
DREDD was so Bad @$$! It deserves a Sequel!!! :D
Ineedrevelation - 9/12/2013, 8:08 AM
It'll never happen.

That movie was pure trash
LEVITIKUZ - 9/12/2013, 8:08 AM
No DudeGuyMan. That sounds stupid.

Pacific Rim/Transformers/Jurassic Park/King Kong/Godzilla crossover.

spidey1994 - 9/12/2013, 8:10 AM
[frick] YEAH!!!!!!

gaikinger - 9/12/2013, 8:11 AM
I forgot about Godzillafart when mentioning weenierevelation as tireless trolls on the Dredd circuit. Now i see another in ConquerKang27 who is almost so identical to weenierevelation that i think it might be the same guy.

I see the flamewars between the Nolanites and the Whedonese but you have to be completely devoid of basic CBM joy if you did'nt like Dredd. Its so good....its just so [email protected] good!
ConquerorKang27 - 9/12/2013, 8:12 AM

You are the only one with some sense, thank you. I never troll, in fact I'm more open minded and forgiving than most fanboys. But man, I could not get into this movie. To those who haven't seen it yet, don't bother, unless you are a die hard Dredd fan. Even then, it's questionable.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 8:12 AM

Some people just like men in capes.

INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 8:13 AM
ConquerorKang27 -

Most of the several million people who saw and bought this film aren't Judge Dredd fans.

gaikinger - 9/12/2013, 8:14 AM
...notice how small and insignifigant the number of Dredd haters their are....statistically they are probably retarded.
ConquerorKang27 - 9/12/2013, 8:15 AM

Get a clue, son. Terrible acting, no plot whatsoever, and dragged out slow motion scenes. I am the farthest thing from a troll, I just have better taste in movies than you.

Good luck with your pipe dream for a sequel to this crappy movie, lol.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/12/2013, 8:16 AM
Hopefully Hellboy 3 happens in some way like Dredd 2 is. Hellboy 3 won't be in a comic though. Del Toro and Mignola said they don't want to put the film in comics form. Maybe an animated movie. Still go for Dredd 2.
LEVITIKUZ - 9/12/2013, 8:16 AM
*good not go
LEVITIKUZ - 9/12/2013, 8:18 AM
Gusto has been doing a petition for Green Lantern 2. So far only him and Geoff Johns has signed it.

Green Lantern couldn't even get a sequel, but Hellboy can.
jimoakley666 - 9/12/2013, 8:19 AM
That cover is ace. I hope they do make a sequel. I'd be there on opening night. Again.
ConquerorKang27 - 9/12/2013, 8:20 AM
How much did this movie make in theaters, like a hundred bucks?

LOL but no, your right, awesome flick. Let me guess, gakinger, you hated Man Of Steel, right?

Go back to your mommy's basement.
INSTANTJUSTICE - 9/12/2013, 8:20 AM

Hellboy III will happen if GDT has the sense to cut the budget he wants from $150 million down to something a little more sensible and capable of making back.
