DREDD 3D Now Certified "Fresh"

DREDD 3D Now Certified "Fresh"

The reviews are in, and Dredd has now been certified "Fresh" - with a very high rating too - after the first 47 reviews hit Rotten Tomatoes. Check it out..

Remember 1995's film Judge Dredd? Well I still do! That film has 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, over 10 years later, the reboot titled "Dredd", has just scored 91% on Rotten Tomatoes thanks to the first 47 reviews that have been posted.

"Fueled by bombastic violence and impressive special effects, rooted in self-satire and deadpan humor, Dredd 3D is a rare example of a remake that actually works."

So will you guys be checking Dredd out? or not? comment below and let me know.

Imma check it out for sure, I remember going into comic book stores when I was younger and seeing Dredd comics on the walls and thought he was a badd ass back then, I can imagine this portrayal will be more akin to the comic than Stallones was.

Who The Hell Cares what Critic's think I never do
AUSSYACE - 9/13/2012, 1:11 AM
Who gives a Shit what they think...

This is going to shit on the Stallone Version and then give us an even better sequel...

staypuffed - 9/13/2012, 2:23 AM
Really? 91 percent?
How the hell did that happen?
SuperSomething616 - 9/13/2012, 3:18 AM
IT WAS AWESOME!!! It had all the correct terminology, right level of humor perfectly timed...and Karl Urban was spot on as Dredd!!!

If you haven't seen it already...whats wrong with you!!!
Ha1frican - 9/13/2012, 5:23 AM
I'm surprised because te trailr was terrible but more good movies benefit everyone so happy to be wrong
jessepostal - 9/13/2012, 5:37 AM
I wonder if the people involved with this movie are getting mad that they are calling this a remake of the Stallone cut???
LegacyFilms - 9/13/2012, 5:44 AM
Rotten tomatoes has no credibility. It's logic is so flawed. I saw the film, and it wasn't better than TDKR, The Amazing Spider-Man, though not far off, I liked Dredd a little more actually, or Batman Begins. But according to this, it's like the best thing since The Avengers.... I'll wait for the percentage to fall slightly. It deserves more of an 85.

Finally a badass, awesome, violent dredd film
dezdigi - 9/13/2012, 7:06 AM
I'm for sure seeing this. I hope to make it to the theater to see it too. It's nice to have an off-season CBM to look forward to!

SaintSpidey67: "I can't favor some of their ratings and hate others.

Just my opinion. Rotten Tomatoes = shit."

I don't think Rotten Tomatoes was made just for you. The sense of entitlement is strong here.

Being a resident from the UK, I can tell you that this film is awesome!

Personally I'd put it on par with The Avengers - It's brutal, violent and fun! Cinema at it's best... And unlike other franchises, the film makers had the balls to make it R-Rated/18!

Best way to describe it is:

Robocop + Die Hard + Escape from New York + a bit of District 9 = Dredd!

I urge every CBM lover to check this out, you won't be disappointed - And YES i do want a sequel!
dezdigi - 9/13/2012, 11:21 AM
Fantastic! Good to know, MOK!
Danbojohnj - 9/13/2012, 1:11 PM
My fave film of the year.
Asterisk - 9/13/2012, 1:11 PM
I cannot WAIT to see it.
datNAMEtho - 9/13/2012, 1:16 PM
Wanna see this... in 3D!
SUPERSP00NS - 9/13/2012, 1:49 PM
Abolutely loved this damn film! Convinced i'd hate 3D forever... Was it James Cameron's over-hyped, over-rated and just plain self-indulgent Avatar that convinced me otherwise? Nope. It was a simple, 90 minute balls-to-the-wall romp called Dredd!
Azazel1 - 9/13/2012, 2:06 PM
It was REALLY awesome. I want a sequel now! Bring on the Dark Judges!
HavocPrime - 9/13/2012, 2:07 PM
Film was fantastic, hope it gets picked up for a sequel.
Geektality - 9/13/2012, 2:20 PM

47 reviews isn't exactly the best way to judge a major motion picture, people. It means it's good, not masterpiece.
HughJasol - 9/13/2012, 2:53 PM
Hell yeah, I'm checking this out.

@ LegacyFilms

The percentage isn't for quality, thats what the average rating is for, which is 6.9/10. The percentage is to merely show how many critics actually liked the film, giving people a general consensus and displaying how likely they are to enjoy the film based on critics reactions.

Anyone who disregards critics are idiots. They get paid to do this, and people are influenced by them, in turn influencing the success of a film and very poor word of mouth. - no, just because transformers 3 made one billion doesn't mean it doesn't influence peoples decision.

Side note: think I might have enjoyed Dredd the most out of the 4 CBM's this year, absolutely loved it! Very hardcore, gritty, a lot of themes, great 3D use and special effects, perfect acting, brilliant soundtrack and great action.
FOOM - 9/13/2012, 4:37 PM
Believe the hype. Seen it and it makes TDKR look like a very flawed plodding kiddy fest. Dredd would make Bruce Wayne shit bat guano.
UltimateHunt - 9/13/2012, 6:44 PM
RT is actually good, best website source with Actual critics weight, better than IMDB
i knew the 100% will drop but damn 91% is REALLY GOOD, so far the best 2nd in comics. its even higher than TDKR and lower than Avengers(92%) by 1% but well i predicted a final 87% or 88% final, looking SO forward to see this one, and well COMIC adaptaptations are ruling 2012 i feel bad for The hobbit (IS it comic?) and well finally after TDKR a good film to do good in BO after one of the WORST WEEKENDS of BO, damn TDKR had no competition they had it soo easy, anyways looking forward for this good reviews, good fans raction, and the 3rd comic movie that is looking/deserving the 3D affect apperently. (Avengers,TASM,Dredd) Thank you CBM's
LegacyFilms - 9/13/2012, 7:32 PM
@ Charlie2094 I know what Rotten Tomatoes is for, I'm just saying it's not something to go by or report about to determine whether the movie is good, because genuinely better movies can get lower scores just because less people griped about it.
