New Teaser Poster For DREDD

New Teaser Poster For DREDD

Have a look at the first official atmospheric poster along with some new images for the Judge Dredd reboot, 'Dredd', courtesy of Joblo. Tagline: 'Judgement is Coming'.

Synopsis:In a violent, futuristic city where the police have the authority to act as judge, jury and executioner, a cop teams with a trainee to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.

Previously, the creator of Judge Dredd, John Wagner sung high-praises for the film and it looks like things are on a general upswing for the Lionsgate film. Hopefully, we'll be receiving an official trailer soon. So far, the film looks gritty and violent from the stills that were released but 'judgement' should be reserved until some proper footage is released. The film is currently scheduled for a September 21st release in the US. I was previously concerned that the lack of marketing was an indication that the movie could get pushed but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'd wager that an official trailer is probably around the corner.

Running Time: Unknown
Release Date: 21 September 2012 (USA))
MPAA Rating: Unknown
Starring: Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey
Directed by: Pete Travis
Written by: Carlos Ezquerra (characters), Alex Garland (screenplay), John Wagner (characters)

This is the first thing they've shown that I've really liked. I have a feeling this movie will surprise us all by being among the top CBM's...

**BREAKING NEWS NOBODY HAS MENTIONED EVER** but they really need a trailer. the complete lack of marketting for the mainstream means nobody's gonna see this, regardless of quality.

"Mark Julian - 6/8/2012 Previously, the creator of Judge Dredd, Matt Wagner sung high-praises for the film"

Matt wagner didn't create Dredd, John Wagner did.

Interest piqued.

Are these studios not learning? Promote your dang movie. Look what happened to DARK SHADOWS, they tried to build buzz in like what? A month? Two months? And it couldn't get it done. So unless they are 100% sure they have a critically giant on their hands, they should have been pushing this movie with teasers and previews since May at the latest. It looks interesting in the pictures but I do not get the lack of push.
Georgep66 - 6/8/2012, 11:27 AM
[frick]ing love these images and judge Dredd in general, greatest British created comic character ever
SpiderFan35 - 6/8/2012, 11:55 AM

How many times are we going to see the word DREDD in a different font and color? lol
Dedpool - 6/8/2012, 1:05 PM
Poster looks good! Last pic gives me more hope for the look of the city.
SuperDude001 - 6/8/2012, 1:35 PM
Cool, but if a trailer doesn't come out soon I think absolutely no one will see this film, including myself.
Jollem - 6/8/2012, 1:54 PM

jazzman - 6/8/2012, 1:59 PM

PazuzuMan - 6/8/2012, 2:04 PM
dreddhead123 - 6/8/2012, 2:13 PM
The widescreen shot of the city looks fantastic. Dare I say, kind of beautiful. I didn't expect it to look like that!!!!! Gives off a Star Wars prequels vibe too. :)

Lionsgate's official movie site has the teaser poster up and a few links. One link is to the trailer.....

but it has the words 'coming soon' next to it! LOL So we got to wait a bit longer....
dreddhead123 - 6/8/2012, 2:36 PM
Meet Judge Dredd *and* Judge Dredd!

spenderjgant - 6/8/2012, 3:11 PM

That. That is pure f***ing art.

The colours, cinematography and the level of carnage on show are just stunning. Agree with Dreddhead on the Star Wars comparison for this shot:

... but I'd say Death Star docking bay and Mos Eisley, rather than anything from the prequels.

Boyle360 - 6/8/2012, 3:29 PM
Frick off with the posters and release a trailer!
