Is Brett Ratner Being Considered For JUSTICE LEAGUE?

Is the X-Men: The Last Stand director being considered for Warner Bros. big budget live-action Justice League? According to Superman Super Site the studio is very interested in Brett Ratner. Hit the jump to voice your opinion.

Superman Super Site is reporting that sources close to the project are hearing Brett Ratner's name being bandied about. Studio executives are said to be very interested.
"The studio is very pleased with the work that Brett [Ratner] has done as a producer and director on past projects," states our sources. "They are now very interested in seeing what he can do with helping finally bring this group of iconic superheroes to
    the big screen!"

The filmmaker is best known for directing the Rush Hour franchise, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Justice League wouldn't be his first foray into the comic book genre as he already has X-Men: The Last Stand under his belt. Which was the follow-up to Bryan Singer's two previous film's. It was considered a disappointment among fans and critics, but nevertheless it was a huge hit at the box office, becoming the highest grossing film in the series.

One of the few hiccups in this plan is that Brett Ratner has just started pre-production on a fourth Rush Hour film.

DeadManDann - 8/28/2012, 1:22 PM
He shouldn't even be close to a possibility. No explanation necessary, IMO.

X3:The last stand, need I say more.
acidbath - 8/28/2012, 1:25 PM
they should get the guys who wrote xmen 3 for the script too cuz you know warner brothers is that stupid
Hellsing - 8/28/2012, 1:25 PM
Hahaha, oh god go WB execs. This is why believe DC really need a studio of there own.
SuperDude001 - 8/28/2012, 1:26 PM
I don't find him terrible, but no. DC/Warner Bros need to get a director that's actually already a fan of the comics like Joss Whedon was to the Avengers. That's why the Avengers was so great, not only cause Whedon is a good film maker but he was a fan of the comics and knew what the fans wanted. I'm not saying DC should get Whedon, he's pretty much Marvel's boy now, but DC just need someone who cares about the Justice League, the comics and the fans, not just so random director with experience.

This is one of those articles that I hope is 100% wrong. After X3, Ratner needs to stay the hell away from CBMs.
Hawksblueyes - 8/28/2012, 1:30 PM
I doubt this is true BUT IF IT IS.....It's going to go the same direction Green Lantern did. Nowhere.
Knightrider - 8/28/2012, 1:31 PM
As long as he don't write it, but he can direct some great sequences E.G. The bridge scene in last stand.
NerdyGeek - 8/28/2012, 1:33 PM
RunDTC - 8/28/2012, 1:33 PM
so Chris Tucker will be playing John Stewart then? and I guess we can rule out Olivia Munn as Wonder Woman....
superotherside - 8/28/2012, 1:34 PM
Doubt this is true.
JDUKE25 - 8/28/2012, 1:36 PM
No, I repeat, no.
CaptainObvious - 8/28/2012, 1:36 PM
WB has made alot dumbass decisions, but if this is true, this will be their biggest dumbass decision yet. Didn't Hollywood learn after X3 that Ratner should not direct comic book movies?
Killuminatic - 8/28/2012, 1:37 PM
Wow... Hey, bring him in why don't ya! I'm ready WB just look at what he did with X-Men: The Last Stand (not entirely his fault anyway)... Man that movie, what a let down once I saw the trailer my expectations were so high, most anticipated movie that year for me. And once I saw it... Poof!!! It takes everything away and leaves me with a [frick]ing Danger Room.
Ha1frican - 8/28/2012, 1:39 PM
[frick] THAT. But i think the focus need to be not on who directs it but who writes it. Was Avengers amazing because he is an amazing director? Not really its because he is an amazing writer and as a director he stas true to his script. Get the writers in order, have DC/Warner keep a close grip on it, and it wont matter who directs it.
JordanKing - 8/28/2012, 1:40 PM
Hahaha.. Hee Hee.. Hoo Hoo.. Ha Ha ha

And I thought my jokes were bad.
ElBicho - 8/28/2012, 1:41 PM
Wow. If this is true, DC fans have my most sincere condolences.
marvel72 - 8/28/2012, 1:43 PM

i wouldn't wish that on anyone, especially after x-men 3 the last stand but if he does get the job.

well i wouldn't hold my breath it being any good,i may even have to laugh so hard i pee myself.
Ha1frican - 8/28/2012, 1:45 PM
My vote of people i have heard mentioned is David Yates he seems to make good ensemble films
Ha1frican - 8/28/2012, 1:46 PM
And he has to have at leas good rep at Warner Bros. After all the money HP made
TayDee - 8/28/2012, 1:46 PM
If this is true, WB is desperate to get this thing going.
BobGarlen - 8/28/2012, 1:47 PM
dezdigi - 8/28/2012, 1:48 PM
I will pretend this never happened.
JULEZ13 - 8/28/2012, 1:49 PM
Ohhhh God!!!

Director of X3? Really? I lied to my parents to go see this film and it was sooooooo ass!!

TwiztidThorn - 8/28/2012, 1:51 PM
This is such a bad idea that it must be true.
Jollem - 8/28/2012, 1:55 PM
i liked x-3 more than x-1 and x-2. he's not a bad director, imo
GoILL - 8/28/2012, 2:00 PM
After the shittyness that was X3 I hope not.
Fogs - 8/28/2012, 2:01 PM
DalyBear - 8/28/2012, 2:01 PM
I'm going to say that at this rate well have a good proper justice league film in 15 years. Any before are just going to suck, Brett is a horrible choice.
Mechagino - 8/28/2012, 2:03 PM
I'm a DC fan and I like a lot of their movies including GL(which was awesome!) and Jonah Hex(which was okay in an awesome way) BUT GOOD [frick]ING GOD NOOOOOOO!!!
WarnerBrother - 8/28/2012, 2:03 PM
For the love of God. I wish WB would pick a director so we can shut down this b.s. rumor mill.
Armyshot - 8/28/2012, 2:03 PM
The Last Stand wasn't his fault, he went with what Bryan Singer set up... and decided to kill off every one important apparently... Ah god, sorry to hear DC Universe... if this is true, may the DC universe RIP...
ATrueHero1987 - 8/28/2012, 2:03 PM
IF this is true......O_O
KelvTwelve - 8/28/2012, 2:04 PM
My reaction when Wachowski Siblings:
