Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Reps Deny His Rumored Involvement With JUSTICE LEAGUE

Following the somewhat controversial rumour that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will don the iconic cowl as 'Batman' in Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's Justice League, reps for the actor have completely dismissed the news. Read on for details!

We usually get a "No Comment" or outright denial when it comes to most casting rumours, so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise to learn that Joseph Gordon-Levitt's reps have flat out denied his involvement with Justice League. It was thought that the Looper star would reprise his role from The Dark Knight Rises as 'John Blake', first with a cameo in Man of Steel and then as a member of the League. While this would have placed the highly anticipated superhero ensemble in the same universe as Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, it still riled fans that 'Bruce Wayne' would not be beneath the cowl. Well,, "checked in with Gordon-Levitt's reps who have refuted the rumor entirely." It seems far more likely that this "rumour" has been leaked by Warner Bros. simply as a way of boosting interest in the release of The Dark Knight Rises on DVD and Blu-ray next week, but you'll have to make sure to stay tuned for any further updates!

Hard to believe this rumor even got off the ground, I know it was from a trusted source not known for fake rumors, but come on now. Yeesh.

RoscoeFolgers - 11/27/2012, 10:32 AM
Guys, seriously. Reps deny things ALL THE TIME, yes even a shitload of things that end up true. Their comments on the matter mean less than nothing.

They must be aware of the fan bashes.

The thing is, I believe people would like to see a badass billionaire who can actually match up with a super-powered alien more than a mere beat cop, even though the beat cop himself is quite a great character.
And bringing John Blake without the other characters from the previous trilogy is too risky a move.

That's just one of the many things I worry about of this rumor, although I've never taken it seriously either. I can't tell how happy I am to see it being debunked.

Just leave batman alone for some time ... not counting fans ... the general public will get sick of him if wb will keep puching him down our throats ...
NerdyGeek - 11/27/2012, 10:39 AM

@n1ghtw1ng2832: I agree. On top of that, there is no chance in hell that Gosling would agree to do Aquaman.
