More Speculations On The JUSTICE LEAGUE Film

Darseid, Martain Manhunter, Boba Fett? Justice League speculations and rumors galore! Read on for more.

Daniel Alter a hollywood producer best known for 2007's Hitman and 2012's The Apparition, has been teasing more insider information on his twitter page. While we've known him for tweeting hogwash to get attention, these tweets seemed quite interesting to me. Considering all the tweets were about the JUSTICE LEAGUE and were tweeted within minutes of each other, it feels like this is one of the rare times he might have actually found out something from within the Hollywood circuit and couldn't wait to tweet it.

Here are the tweets:

So according to these tweets the Justice League is being planned and will indeed feature Darseid. He also states that Martian Manhunter will be appearing in the film, the first that we've heard of this. Also Alter predicts that the Justice League will appear before Marvel's Thanos appears on the Avengers 3.

Darkseid recently appeared as the villain in DC's animated film Justice League: War. However Martian Manhunter was noticeably absent from this origin story and was instead replaced by Shazam! Shazam's appearance was definitely a breath of fresh air and I personally believe would be a great addition to a cinematic Justice League. This version of Shazam could definitely appeal to children and lighten up the film. If the Flash doesn't appear in the Justice League then Shazam could be the much needed comic relief of the ensemble. If you remember, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) had taken a meeting with Warner Bros. CEO and teased of a potential collaboration. Could it be that The Rock will play the Martain Manhunter? Or will we see a live-action adaptation of Justice League: War, with The Rock playing SHAZAM!

What do you think of all this? Does Alter know something?

Wait.............isn't Thanos gonna be the main villain of Guardians of the Galaxy?
Gyasiman - 1/26/2014, 11:00 PM
Besides that though, Martian Manhunter is an amazing character. I think it would be a lot better though if he had his own solo movie. It has the potential to be so epic. Introducing him the way The New Frontier does could also work.
ALegendaryPanda - 1/26/2014, 11:03 PM

Thanos is in the movie but as far I know the main villain is Ronan the Accuser.
EdgyOutsider - 1/26/2014, 11:06 PM
I think Martian Manhunter would be cool but, more interesting if their first villain(s) are the White Martians. Which leads me to my problem with this if it is true. If you're in a fight, you send your minions in first. Not the bodyguard. If you don't see what I'm saying, its that they need to put in someone not Darkseid as the villain in JL and its potential sequel. He's the biggest bad guy In the DC Universe. Put him first and who do you got let for a possible second and third films?
EdgyOutsider - 1/26/2014, 11:06 PM
Ronan and Nebula are the villains of GOTG
VISIONaryNPa - 1/26/2014, 11:07 PM
@ALegend and @Gyasi, Thanos will be featured in GOTG but more of a "string-puller", Fiege has stated we'll get more than a "smirk and turn around".

“You will learn more about Thanos in Guardians, for sure. Certainly you'll get more than the one turn-around-and-smirk. You'll get much more than that!"
VISIONaryNPa - 1/26/2014, 11:11 PM
Thanos has already been seen on screen, so this guy is completely foolish. But hey, if he's right about MM, and other news, then by all means..
VISIONaryNPa - 1/26/2014, 11:14 PM
If the Flash doesn't appear in the Justice League (which is likely if The Flash show gets picked up by the CW)

the hell are you even saying? Of course the Flash is going to STILL be featured in a Justice League film. Are you mental? You think they would swap out Flash for the likes of Shazam? LOL you're nuts my friend. The Flash has been seen in EVERY (i'm ASSUMING) Justice League comic, as well as ALL (and I mean, ALL) DC's Animated Films pertaining to the Justice League.

Aquaman9 - 1/26/2014, 11:17 PM
What about aquaman?
JasonBlue - 1/26/2014, 11:21 PM
@NPaMusic - Thats true... but then do you really think Snyder would put another Flash on the Justice League film while there's one on TV? And how do u explain his origin story or even who he is within the short span of the ensemble film? They would have to put Grant Gustin in the movie.
loki668 - 1/26/2014, 11:25 PM
If this guy had a better track record, then I might get excited for this. Until then, I have to treat this as a grain of salt large enough to live in.

Kurne - 1/26/2014, 11:36 PM
Uh wtf these are just his own wishful-thinking. The dude tweets this stuff all the time.
WYLEEJAY - 1/26/2014, 11:43 PM
Lol. Thanos will already have been onscreen TWICE by the end of THIS year! Just like others before me said. And dude, proofread your articles.
BenClark - 1/26/2014, 11:44 PM
Hogwash? He was right about Robin/Wonder Woman and probably Doomsday
Humperdink - 1/26/2014, 11:48 PM
Martian Manhunter will be the Boba Fett of the DC cinematic universe

Kurne - 1/27/2014, 12:02 AM
This Daniel Alter guy is [frick]ing annoying. He's like the Intruder of Twitter (but on DC's side). Basically another Max Landis :P
BlackIceJoe - 1/27/2014, 12:02 AM
Well I like the sound of Martian Manhunter in the film over Cyborg. My pick for him is Jeffrey Wright. Keith David would be another cool choice and it's to bad Laurence Fishburne is Perry White because he too would have been nice as MM. As for Darkseid Andre Braugher has played him before in the animated movies. So I wonder if WB would use him again or even as MM. Michael K. Williams would also be an interesting pick for J'onn. Plus I wonder if WB would have to people play J'onn. One the actor and the other the voice of MM. It worked for Darth Vader so why not J'onn too. If they go in that direction Kevin Grevioux would be an interesting pick.

Well if Darkseid truly is the bad guy I hope they use the real version of him. I want to see the god that he was back before Crisis on infinite Earths. He was more dangerous back then. So if they go that way you could even have lesser known heroes fighting in the background helping out. Just show a few shots of them then go back to the big seven.
Aquaman9 - 1/27/2014, 12:05 AM
@blackicejoe yoooooo that's brilliant ! And lesser characters can be from the shows Arrow, Flash, Hourman, and the dc short films.

Kurne - 1/27/2014, 12:20 AM
This Daniel Alter guy drops tweets all the time as if they're facts.
loki668 - 1/27/2014, 12:21 AM
Netman is officially "losing his shit".
Jollem - 1/27/2014, 12:29 AM
boba fett as in "gonna be a badass who makes an appearance from time to time"? i could dig it
SnapperCarr - 1/27/2014, 12:37 AM
Bring on the Martian!

WYLEEJAY - 1/27/2014, 12:37 AM
Yeah hopefully not "accidentally got knocked into a sarlacc for shits and giggles" Boba Fett. I couldnt dig that.
loki668 - 1/27/2014, 12:45 AM

SnapperCarr - 1/27/2014, 12:45 AM
This article is wrong. Cyborg replaced MMH. Shazam replaced Aquaman.

And LMAO at JasonBlue thinking that Shazam might replace Flash on the big screen. Flash is one of DC's top 5 properties. He's far more popular than Shazam is, and Dc wouldn't be including him in almost all of their Justice League related merchandise if Shazam were to replace him.

"Thats true... but then do you really think Snyder would put another Flash on the Justice League film while there's one on TV? "

Smallville was on when Superman Returns came out. They can do the same thing in this scenario as well.

SnapperCarr - 1/27/2014, 12:48 AM
Darkseid should NOT be the first villain the League faces. Maybe one of his minions like Desaad or Kanto, but not him. He should be endgame. The final boss. The ultimate threat.

6of13 - 1/27/2014, 1:30 AM
Anyone who thinks the Rock is playing Martian Manhunter clearly does not understand or give a [frick] about the Martian Manhunter.

The Martian Manhunter is the emotional core of the team. The Rock has as much capacity to show layers of emotion as a block of wood does.

And Shazam replaced Aquaman.
mgeoff88 - 1/27/2014, 2:11 AM
"Martian Manhunter will be the Boba Fett of the DC cinematic universe."

Does that mean Martian Manhunter will be badass???
Firgosaurus - 1/27/2014, 2:13 AM
Manhunter dies getting sucked in by a giant sand vagina.
breakUbatman - 1/27/2014, 2:19 AM
I think Darkseid could work first if you have him comeback in a third movie. As a follow up threat they could use some configuration of The Legion of Doom, assuming that most members would have had a solo outing by then.

Just a thought
Nubase - 1/27/2014, 5:05 AM
If reports are true the supes/bats movie ends on a insane cliffhanger, what is more insane but the arrival of darkseid? it could be the catalyst for supes, bats and wonder to team up with whoever the rock is playing then you got 4 members which l think is enough for the follow up but its all guess work now.

What needs to happen is the movie to start shooting then more official news will come out, to be honest l like the fact they are keeping things close to their chests, it makes things more exciting and cause debates about the movie.

thanos movie appearances

the avengers cameo
guardians of the galaxy (another appearance, maybe just voice)
BoneSawIsReady - 1/27/2014, 6:22 AM
Its really not that funny "ending up first at the starting line"... #DanAlterisaDouche

How is that a burn on anyone else but WB/DC?

Don't get me wrong I think its a STRONG play to put Darkseid first. The JL film could be awesome with a narrow victory of our heroes only to have Darkseid return in a sequel. I would personally love to see DC treat Darkseid right and give him 2 or 3 outings as the uber villain.

The Rock is Jimmy Olsen. Motion capture all the way
BoneSawIsReady - 1/27/2014, 6:30 AM
Boba Fett.... really? That's his comparison? This guy, what a douche. If someone wanted to start another flame war let him know that Boba and all things Fett are now Disney/Marvel properties. smh
