As shown by the years The Avengers a great director can make or break the movie. So using my own intuition i listed 4 directors i think can do a great job with the Justice League movie.

Neil Blomkamp: Blomkamp is one of the most promising directors working today, as anyone who saw District 9 can reassure you. In his movies he combines both great effects and moral and social issues into his films. He has even worked on Smallville so he is familiar with the Man of Steel. The only problem with Blomkamp is that he hasn’t really worked with a large ensemble yet. However if they choose him to direct the Justice League I think Blomkamp can rock it.

Ben Affleck: Ben Affleck is the consensus pick to helm the Justice League with good reason. Affleck has worked with large ensembles before in both The Town and Argo. He also can direct action well as proven by The Town. For Affleck there isn’t that much of a downside as he is in all a solid director. The only problem I could think of is that he might sign on. However I think that WB will pursue him, because he is more than capable.

Duncan Jones: Duncan Jones is a somewhat unusual choice for the Justice League but I think he could pay off and then some. Jones has dabbled in multiple genres with great success. In his first film Moon he brought a new take on Sci-Fi and in Source Code he brought us a Action Movie, and both those film kick ass. The only problem with Jones is studios are reluctant to hire him. But I really hope Warner Bros and DC do hire Jones as I think he would do a great job

Brad Bird: Brad Bird is one of the most well rounded directors working today. In his live action debut he brought us Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, which had some of if not the best action of last year. His animated movies are also great ( The Iron Giant, Ratatouille). He also has directed a superhero movie in the form of The Incredibles. The only problem is Bird is currently in Pre-Production for his next movie so he may not be free in time for the JL. But if he is, Bird is a more than capable choice

The two I would personally most like to see direct Justice League would be either J.J. Abrams or Darren Aronofksy.

Speaking as a Marvel Zombie who finds everything DC to be brutally boring, I think the best director for a JLA movie would be The Wachowski Siblings. I think every movie they've made so far has been for Warner Bros. so they're already on the payroll and they have total command of epic action storytelling. If they were hired I'd certainly go see it.

Duncan Jones is an excellent director...with a very limited frame from what we've seen so far. He's a very claustrophobic director; so far all of his films take place in one general setting. They're also incredibly short, too. He's good with pace and energy, but he has had short scripts to work with thus far. I don't know how well he'd do with a project of this scale.

Affleck's alright, but he specializes in the nitty-gritty. I'm not sure how well he'd do, as we've not seen his eye for special effects, yet. And JL would be very effects heavy. If he doesn't have an eye for spacing and framing in that respect, you'll get a very pale product.

Blompkamp is good; however, let's not forget that most of the magic in D9 is from Copley, who practically improvises 70% of the movie. The special effects are nice, but I would expect a different style of filmmaking for JL, as Blompkamp specializes in doc-style films. I love D9, but I kind of want a director with more under his belt.

Brad Bird, however, seems to hit the sweet spot. He's the fun, anti-conspiracy version of JJ Abrams and the fact that he's IMAX savvy could bring a lot of excitement to JL.

Brad Bird is the only viable choice from the directors you highlighted.

Thank you all for the comments, for J.J Abrams i think he would have been a good choice but he is extremely busy with his T.V Shows and Star Trek. He could be one of the lead producers though
