UPDATE: Possible 2017 Release Date For Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE Revealed

UPDATE: Possible 2017 Release Date For Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE Revealed

Following the blockbuster announcement that Zack Snyder will follow 2016's Batman Vs. Superman with a live-action Justice League movie, a possible release date has now been revealed. It's reportedly coming sooner than 2018, and we even have a specific day and month...

According to Latino-Review (who had the scoop on Zack Snyder and Justice League not too long ago), we should expect to see the follow-up to Batman Vs. Superman on May 5th, 2017. While The Wall Street Journal article - which you can find more details on by clicking here - said that the movie wouldn't hit until before 2018, this date would certainly make a lot of sense for Warner Bros. Firstly, it's an extremely desirable slot, and secondly, it adds a lot of weight to the rumours and speculation that Snyder will shoot Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League back to back. It also keeps DC's own superhero ensemble far awar from Marvel's likely 2018 release for The Avengers 3! The site does point out that this is a rumour as of right now, and cautions not to expect confirmation until Comic-Con. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below...

UPDATE: THR now confirms that a 2017 Justice League release date is indeed "likely".

BatmanHeisenberg - 4/27/2014, 7:04 PM
Sounds good to.
BatmanHeisenberg - 4/27/2014, 7:05 PM
Guess Josh won. Anyway, this is a perfect date.
TheGambitFreak - 4/27/2014, 7:10 PM
Bound to be moved.
DrunkenNukem - 4/27/2014, 7:10 PM

it would explain the 10 months of shooting
DrunkenNukem - 4/27/2014, 7:11 PM
Zack Snyder directing the JL movie..

..its too much
BatmanHeisenberg - 4/27/2014, 7:13 PM
Watchmen was amazing. Snyder knows what he's doing!
3DWitchHunt - 4/27/2014, 7:15 PM
Assuming this is true, it backs up that rumor of both Bvs and JL shooting relatively close to one another, time wise.
Hope this at least one film a year for DC.
Wait, maybe a big flagship title and a smaller property yearly?
BatmanHeisenberg - 4/27/2014, 7:15 PM
LR is reliable, BJ.
AlexanderLykins - 4/27/2014, 7:15 PM
If Marvel Studios has a movie planned for May, they're going to move it. I'd like to see Marvel go after March.
Moohika - 4/27/2014, 7:16 PM
Please be true, and please be shooting it back to back

whoa123 - 4/27/2014, 7:16 PM
Whoop whoop!
RextheKing - 4/27/2014, 7:17 PM
Good thing the next Avengers film, most likely won't be release summer 2017, or this [frick]ing fan war will never end.
DrunkenNukem - 4/27/2014, 7:18 PM

directed by Zack...

with Cavill, Affleck, Gadot, Momoa, The Rock, Fisher...
Omarvls - 4/27/2014, 7:18 PM
Is not Guardians of the Galaxy sequel Infinity Watch in that date?

RextheKing - 4/27/2014, 7:20 PM
@Alpha, as long as the 2017 release date, isn't the next Avengers film, the shit storm brewing, shouldn't get too out of control.
soforizo - 4/27/2014, 7:20 PM

DaVinci31 - 4/27/2014, 7:22 PM
I don't have time for these rumors, guys.
KallarkKent - 4/27/2014, 7:22 PM
I guess DC and Marvel will still be playing this game of cat and mouse in 3 years. I think Marvel already set that release date for an unannounced movie. This is still pretty exiting news, even thought it is still a rumor.
PAF - 4/27/2014, 7:23 PM
Although I can't stand LR... I can see this. I truly believe they are filming MOS 2, uh I mean Batman, and JL back to back. DC, uh, WB wants a piece of the damn pie and they are going to get it.
Bekss - 4/27/2014, 7:23 PM
they're trying to start other "same date" BS. Marvel has a movie in that day. I'm sure they'll say which one in comic-con
soforizo - 4/27/2014, 7:25 PM
DoubleD's while he reads this story...

PAF - 4/27/2014, 7:25 PM
"with Cavill, Affleck, Gadot, Momoa, The Rock, Fisher."

LMFAO. What a cast.

Destined - 4/27/2014, 7:26 PM
Solid date for them certainly.
BlackIceJoe - 4/27/2014, 7:26 PM
I so wanted JL to be filmed with BvsS. So this is awesome news. Now I want to know who is playing Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman & Martian Manhunter. Plus who will be playing Jimmy Olsen. I remember back before Batman was added to the sequel to Man of Steel. There was whispers that the extended Superman family would be in the sequel. So I hope some how they end up in the film too. Seeing Supergirl and Steel on film would rock.
DeathstrokeTerminator - 4/27/2014, 7:26 PM
I pray it's true, but with WB and Latino Review you never know
DeathstrokeTerminator - 4/27/2014, 7:27 PM
Hell Yeah! That's a bad-ass line-up.
marvel72 - 4/27/2014, 7:28 PM
the avengers 3 will be 2018,f*ck knows when we'll see a justice league movie.
Bekss - 4/27/2014, 7:29 PM
This is a big and [frick]ed coincidence or a big and stupid BULLSHIT
DrunkenNukem - 4/27/2014, 7:29 PM
can´t wait....

for real
titansupes - 4/27/2014, 7:30 PM
They're not doing BvS and JL back-to-back.
BlackIceJoe - 4/27/2014, 7:31 PM
I wonder when Ben gets his solo Bat film if the extended Bat family will be in it too. Seeing Batman, Nightwing, Oracle, Red Hood, Red Robin, Batgirl, Black Bat & Robin working together would be incredible.
xXkryptoniteXx - 4/27/2014, 7:31 PM
Show me the finish product of the man of steel sequel and then talk about the follow up. Till then, shut up and continue on doing the sequel.
DaVinci31 - 4/27/2014, 7:31 PM

Or both.
BruceWayneNewton - 4/27/2014, 7:32 PM
This would be beyond epic.
McGee - 4/27/2014, 7:32 PM
Oh f*ck me yes!
DaVinci31 - 4/27/2014, 7:33 PM
All of this is going on while Affleck and co. are all like

McGee - 4/27/2014, 7:34 PM
Praise fat Mexican Jesus.
PAF - 4/27/2014, 7:35 PM

Bekss - 4/27/2014, 7:35 PM
a big and [frick]ing stupid BULLSHIT coincidence? (I speak spanish so maybe this doesn't mean what I wanted).
