KICK-ASS 2: First Look At Jim Carrey As Colonel Stars

KICK-ASS 2: First Look At Jim Carrey As Colonel Stars

Update #2! The first look at actor/comedian Jim Carrey (Bruce Almighty) dressed as Colonel Stars for Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2. Also are first good look at the costumes for Lindy Booth's Night Bitch and Robert Emms' Insect-Man.

Jim Carrey has finally been spotted on the set of Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass 2. A set that is located in Toronto, Canada, but transformed to look like New York. He was seen with Night Bitch (Lindy Booth), Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson), Insect-Man (Robert Emms) and his testicle-eating dog, Sofia.

Colonel Stars used to work for John Genovese alongside the man who would become Lieutenant Stripes. Both men became born-again Christians before leaving Genovese's employment. Because of this, both survived when Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl took the organization down.

Colonel Stars and Lieutenant Stripes both formed Justice Forever, inviting other superheroes to join. They soon recruited Remembering Tommy, Night Bitch, Insect Man, Battle Guy and later Kick-Ass. Their first mission involved taking down a human trafficking organization.

Colonel Stars shows contradictory elements in appearing to be a hardened tough guy when in reality sometimes appearing to be quite soft. He seems to be a genuine nice person making a difference. He later admits that although he has no problems letting his dog, Sofia, eat a criminal's genitals, the guns he carries are empty and are there purely for intimidation purposes. - kick-ass.wikia

Bonus: Another set video of Christopher Mintz-Plasse as The Mother F*cker attempting to rob a convenience store, but it doesn't go as expected.

KICK-ASS 2 based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. and is being directed by Jeff Wadlow. The film stars Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Moretz, Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca, Yancy Butler, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Lindy Booth, Olga Kurkulina, and Nicolas Cage makes a cameo. The film hits domestic theaters on June 28, 2013 and in UK theaters July 19, 2013.

R. Lee Ermey would've been a much better choice. Carrey is still cool though.

@Woverine's Zombie He'll probably get a percentage of the film's gross. He's also a huge fan of the first movie, so I'm sure he was willing to take a paycut.
CaptainMaximum - 9/21/2012, 8:09 PM

Fornication - 9/21/2012, 8:17 PM

Ranger14 - 9/21/2012, 8:20 PM
Carey is a great serious actor, so I am not the least bit concerned with how he delivers. Well, it depends on how he is directed to play the role as well.
Sanderman - 9/21/2012, 8:25 PM
Woaaaaa what happen to his face?!

Looks like they're doing a Sin City thing by using prosthetics to make him look more like the character.
Bandido - 9/21/2012, 9:16 PM
His performance is one of the things I am most looking forward to in this movie! I bet he is going to be great

I know whats gonna happen to the dog, since I read the comics, but I'm curious if that will be toned down
DocDrop - 9/21/2012, 9:46 PM
@CaptainCanti... R. Lee Ermy is 68 years old, I'm sure way too old for an action comedy.
CorndogBurglar - 9/21/2012, 9:48 PM
Everyone is talking about whats going to happen to the dog......what about what happens to Jim Carrey?
restaino814 - 9/21/2012, 10:07 PM
i heard the dog scene isnt going to be in it.

TheSoulEater - 9/21/2012, 10:21 PM
Growler - 9/21/2012, 10:22 PM
I admit I was sceptical about Carrey in the role but he looks completely badass, and the older he gets, the gnarlier he looks.

This is gonna rock.
DrHorrible - 9/21/2012, 10:35 PM
Nice! This movies shaping up to be as good, if not better, than the first one. Thumbs up to whoever designed the costume. It looks like he stepped right out of the comic book.

BTW guys, he's SUPPOSED to kind of look gruff and weathered. Jim Carrey really doesn't look THAT bad now.
DioFoRio - 9/21/2012, 10:37 PM
^^^^^ Dude you realize he's wearing prosthetics right?
DioFoRio - 9/21/2012, 10:38 PM
that was meant for growler
KingLing - 9/21/2012, 11:58 PM
That had to be one of the easiest costumes to get for this movie. Just buy some camo, some leather gloves, and a bandanna. It's good that the comic book made the costume so easily adaptable.
