TASM 2 Hasbro Figures Reveal Possible Villains And Heroes For The Franchise

Possibly confirming new villains for The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise, the latest Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro feature characters such as Carnage, Arachne, and more, with an arm to piece together the Ultimates Green Goblin. Take it as always with a grain of salt!

Here, we get to see the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Legends 2014 packaging for the very first time, via the solicitation photos that have been sent out to Asian retailers…

If these action figures are based on characters from the movie we could see Arachne, Toxin, Abe Jenkins(?) Black Cat, Carnage, Beetle, and the Superior Spider-Man. But most tie-in toys add additional characters that never appear in the film, so don't expect them.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Grain of salt
Theyre toys
Blanka1212 - 11/30/2013, 4:56 PM
This means nothing. This is how rumors get started.
TimL - 11/30/2013, 4:58 PM
Yeah I'm not sure whether I want Carnage or not. I don't think they can get him right on-screen without sacrificing the usual rating...
Abary - 11/30/2013, 4:59 PM
lol beetle
Abary - 11/30/2013, 5:08 PM
I don't know, everyone of those that haven't been confirmed yet look too much like the comics. They will probably change their costumes a little bit. I can't see this being true. The characters may be in the series, but I don't know about the costumes.
JordanKing - 11/30/2013, 5:10 PM
Right, because Superior Spider-Man is bound to make an appearance.
AnthonyLantern - 11/30/2013, 5:11 PM
This doesn't reveal anything. Iron Man 3's Marvel Legends line had 2 movie figures and the rest were comic book ones.
NovaCorpsFan - 11/30/2013, 5:11 PM
Only Electro and Spidey will look like that and actually appear in the film.
redlion - 11/30/2013, 5:13 PM
Hmmmm....That packaging does display the Amazing Spider-man 2 logo and it definitely looks like Electro's in that pack but so's Goblin-Hulk and yet the poster from the film features a more classic looking Goblin. A grain of salt taken.
DrDoom - 11/30/2013, 5:18 PM

They mean nothing.
typicalfanboy - 11/30/2013, 5:23 PM
My dad had a robin from batman returns. Pretty sure he wasn't in that movie?
KnobGoblin - 11/30/2013, 5:25 PM
I wouldn't read to much into, all the Spider-Man movie toys and video games have featured characters that were never in the movies. I'm curious now though, does SONY own the rights to Spider-Woman? Is that why she hasn't appeared in the MCU?
Prime - 11/30/2013, 5:26 PM
Uhh...I don't see spideyock appearing in the movies.
Rescue08 - 11/30/2013, 5:27 PM
Where is the official dumbass robot rhino action figure?
JoJo1982 - 11/30/2013, 5:28 PM
*face palms* @anthony stark
VISIONaryNPa - 11/30/2013, 5:29 PM
No single toy confirms anything for the movies. at all. stahp.
Curmudgeon - 11/30/2013, 5:29 PM
I still have my Robin figure from the Batman Returns toy line, to tell me that CBM toy lines ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS include comic based and non-"film canon" figures in them.
CaptainAmerica31 - 11/30/2013, 5:31 PM
They're just toys, when the first pics of the toys were revealed awhile back everyone thought the goblin from the movie was going to be hulk goblin. Well he is going to be classic gobby in the movie according too the poster
JoJo1982 - 11/30/2013, 5:31 PM
Wolverine legends line had Sabretooth, Emma Frost, Puck, and Cyclops...... None of them showed up in the movie

There just toys for comics and less for movies

I suggest u fix ur article
JoJo1982 - 11/30/2013, 5:33 PM
Folks don't read into this
anthonyEstark - 11/30/2013, 5:34 PM
@crashrendar, @Curmudgeon But guess who was in the next two films? I remember a Captain America: The First Avenger toy from Marvel Legends with Crossbones. He wasn't in the film. But whose character will appear in the Sequel? His. So what I'm saying is, we may not see them in Number 2, but possibly in sequels, or spin-offs.
SuperCat - 11/30/2013, 5:34 PM
Curmudgeon - 11/30/2013, 5:34 PM
Next you'll be telling us that Spider-Man will be using a bazooka-like "Web Launcher" in the film, when one of the toys will inevitably have one.
superbatspiderman - 11/30/2013, 5:39 PM
When Spider-man 3 came out there were toys of the Lizard, Carnage, Kraven and many others but they were not in the movie. This is just Marvel coming out with merchandise beause a new movie is coming out it doesn't mean these characters are going to be in the movie.
rorywilliams - 11/30/2013, 5:42 PM
This site is so desperate for hits. Did you see U.S. Agent in Captain America: The First Avenger? How about Skrull warriors in The Avengers? Because they were certainly in the toyline, so surely that means they're in the movie, right?

Come on CBM, you can do better than this.
anthonyEstark - 11/30/2013, 5:44 PM
I said Nothing that we "will" see them, I said in the headline, teaser, article, and previous comment, that it is a possibility.
ALmazing - 11/30/2013, 5:49 PM
It looks like they are recycling the toys that were made for Raimi's Spider Man movies.
BlackIceJoe - 11/30/2013, 5:56 PM
I would like to see scorpion and Kingpin in the Spider-Man movies some day.
ShallowDeadpool - 11/30/2013, 5:58 PM
Sony does not own the TV rights for Spider-Man, I believe Marvel does. Would love to see Marvel do a Spider-Man TV show just as a way of sticking it to Sony. I believe it's the same way with FOX and the X-Men. They own the rights for the movies, but not TV.
AUSSYACE - 11/30/2013, 5:59 PM
This new movie series is heading for a disaster...
ShallowDeadpool - 11/30/2013, 6:06 PM
For a second I thought your post said you wanted to see the "Scorpion King", and I thought.. "F*** It! Can't really hurt this franchise"
marcvader1 - 11/30/2013, 6:07 PM
Why is this article even here.
SilverFalcon - 11/30/2013, 6:07 PM
Usually half the villains that they put in their toy collections never make it into film. I remember that with the first Iron Man they had a Titanium Man toy come out and everyone thought he'd be the villain in the sequel. Whatever happened to that rumor that Jim Carrey was gonna play Carnage? Was that ever debunked?
gaikinger - 11/30/2013, 6:12 PM
No JackOLantern?
SpideyQuad - 11/30/2013, 6:18 PM
Robot Rhino, I'm already done Frick this movie
SpideyQuad - 11/30/2013, 6:19 PM
Sony can give us this garbage with a straight face but WB can't get their act together to do Capt. Marvel, could someone please explain this to me?
Maestro - 11/30/2013, 6:25 PM

Blanka1212 - 11/30/2013, 6:32 PM
No, you wrote an article trying to garner views.

You're wrong, and stabbing in the dark.
AlexRival - 11/30/2013, 6:47 PM
Confirms Ultimate Green Goblin though, or was that already confirmed?
Alfredo27 - 11/30/2013, 6:55 PM
yet the Goblin on movie poster isnt ultimate green goblin
