COMICS: Catwoman Gets A New Writer; Does The Cover For #13 Reveal The Joker?

DC's New 52 Catwoman title will no longer be written by Judd Winick. DC announced that Ann Nocenti will takeover. Also the cover for Catwoman #13 is now online and it seems to feature The Joker. Hit the jump to find out more!

Announced by DC Comics, starting with issue #0, writer Ann Nocenti (current writer for Green Arrow) will be taking over as writer of the "Catwoman" ongoing comic book series. While Judd Winick has been penning the ongoing series with artist Guillem March prior to the announcement and was originally solicited on the #0 issue, Nocenti will actually write the origin issue before launching into Selina Kyle's ongoing adventures with "Catwoman" #13, check out the cover.



Could the face in the background be The Joker? We already know The Joker will be in Scott Snyder's next story arc in Batman #13, maybe he will be part of Nocenti's Catwoman as well.

On a side note, the cover is by Andy Clarke. It has not been announced if he will takeover as the artist, my guess is yes.

So what do you guys think about Ann Nocenti taking over? And who do you think is the face in the background?

I love Judd Winick and Guillem March Catwoman title. One of my favorite DC books. Sucks that they are no longer returning.

Ann Nocenti? Really? Why not someone young and fresh like Kelly Sue DeConnick. Not someone who is almost 60 years old, lol.

And I hope The Joker will be in it.

Sounds interresting. I liked Judd Winick and Guillem March on the title, but Ann nocenti sounds good too. I like the fact she is going to take Selina to other places besides Gotham.

Andy Clarke would be great as the artist. I hope it's him. As for the Joker, it could be.

@dellamorte1872 I agree. This would have been much better design for TDKR. I think it's the best Catwoman suit to date.

Snyder said that the joker's return would be handled just like "Night of the Owls".

The main story wi8ll be in Batman, but Joker is going after the entire Bat Family just like the Talons did.
