"Punisher is something that I turned down twice," actor Thomas Jane recently told the fan press. "But [Marvel Studios exec] Avi [Arad] kept after me. 'Just read this new script,' he'd say. 'just read this re-write.' I never saw myself as a super hero. Other folks, maybe, but not my bag. Then Avi pointed out this guy wasn't a super hero, he was an anti-hero. A black sheep. He didn't have any super powers, he killed people. It got my attention, and we started working on the part."
