Check out these shots of the Spike TV Blade pilot film at Comics Continuum.
Meanwhile, David Goyer, exec producer and co-writer of the series, told the fan site that there's a week of shooting left to do in Vancouver, B.C.
"It's going very well," Goyer said. Onyx front man Kirk "Sticky" Jones takes the lead originated by Wesley Snipes.
"Sticky is awesome as Blade," Goyer said. "Very charismatic. Different than Wes, but cool."
The story is set in Detroit, hometown to Goyer and co-writer Geoff Johns. "Although locals will not recognize any landmarks," he said.
The pilot doesn't air until June but Spike TV is already promo-ing the show.
