Eric Roberts cast in "The Dark Knight".

The cast member of "Heroes" joins the anticipated upcoming Batman film.
As reported on dailynews.com, Eric Roberts has just been set to play a Mafia kingpin in Christopher Nolan's latest "Batman" movie, "The Dark Knight".

Many speculating that it will be the role of boss Sal Maroni - the man who is responsible for Harvey Dent's disfigurement.

Joining the production in June. It's the latest in an especially bountiful current crop of assignments for Roberts, including his ongoing series roles on "Heroes" and "The L Word," and his June Hallmark Channel presentation, "Pandemic," with Faye Dunaway.
