George Takei (Star Trek's Mr. Sulu) told the Howard Stern show last week that his character in Heroes will soon start to exhibit powers of his own.
Takei plays Japanese businessman Kaito Nakamura, father of time-traveling Hiro, who has as yet displayed no special abilities. That changes early on in Season 2, Takei told the Sirius satellite radio show, when his character exhibits powers that somehow relate to the word "glow."
Also, Tim Kring who created the highly successful NBC drama talked with Superhero Hype about the success of Season 1 and revealed a bit of the theme of Season 2.
"Season 1 was about these ordinary people who become extraordinary and Season 2 or Volume 2 starts with these people trying to be ordinary again. Most of them, we pick back up in their lives with 'How do you keep them down on the farm after they've had these amazing adventures?' That's one of the themes we're going to be playing with as well."
