EDITORIAL: An Open Letter To Comic Books & The World of Creativity Today

Creativity always comes forth when it comes to viewing a comic book, but what is the true factor which drives us to openly see the comic book as we see the world, read on for my thoughts on this interesting subject!

It has been millions of years since the Earth acceded and upon the descent of the Earth came the formation of language and the formation of what is known today as art. Drawn from the hands of time and the hands of some of the greatest which have come to inspire us greatly today in this day and age. For now our opportunities are endless and endless beyond the eyes can see. Some of these forms of art have transcended into sound, light, or pictures. One form has transformed into what we know as comic books. With comic books, they have opened the eyes of billions of people spanning across the globe. Comic books are like a film but in still form, it takes us into a reality we have yet to see and a reality which has yet to be present at times. Some comic books may be based on true to life facts but it's the way it is presented is truly unique from life itself.

How these artists and writers aspire from their own minds to create such a world of possibilities and characters, characters with their own unique mindsets. Everything comes within the price we have to pay and have payed over centuries due to the constant battles and wars among the great skies divine. Nothing short will ever be lost in the future but what we still have as being human is the power of the mind and creativity. You can close your eyes and you can see to it the judgement that does not prevail yourself or anyone else as far as you know. The judgement comes from your own mind to judge what you know and to test your knowledge. As art, this form of judgement and decision making transcended from the mind itself to a formation as what we know today as the art of making a true to life statement become something of a non reality form. To think for now as we are still standing here what may have stood before us created something greater to look upon. To get lost in the woods of time and to fly upon the monocles of space. To gather the intelligence we seek and to gather the further known spans and threads of what our past has given in. To try and seek further into a darkness that never has been opened from a light as bright as the shining stars of Eldron.

It wears the glass that time has covered to protect it from being further harmed. The glass shatters and a chance that all may be lost in one glimmer. We must not let the glass shatter at all. As creativity must still be held together. In a world where originality is becoming scarce, finding new ways to look upon the source may be hard. Although that it is worth the time to look upon for a greater purpose. To hold our minds and to make unique once more. So said you can steal an idea and you can plagiarize a form of art or writing but it doesn't make you a real power. The real power comes from what we make as our own. What we see in comic books is often based less on originality and more based on a war that has grown more aggressive among the industry which constantly competes for the better rights. We should forget all that and we should be ourselves just bold and strong as we ever were. This is my open letter to comic books and the world of creativity today and we should never forget our roots that have been come for upon us as human and as true to our hearts we are now!

You know what they say about white people? You can take the monkey out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the monkey.

inspiring stuff, indeed, Jacky.
sometimes i forget how much power and mystery there still is out there,
but your articles always remind me.
reality truly lies in the woods.
right on, and here's a toast to u..a bottle of white wine with vodka poured in it too...
here's to u, Jacky... u are a magic man.

Why are people impressed by this? We hear people talking about this every single day.Anyway, there has never been an original thought. Everything we think is some kind of response so we need something that will entice it. We combine things in order to "create" so it isn't really original. What you want is uncomon not original because that isn't possible.
Doopie - 2/17/2014, 1:55 AM
i think jacky gazed into the abyss
dethpillow - 2/17/2014, 12:09 PM
@Alphadog - well, literal creation, in the sense you're talking about it is obviously not possible. i don't know what makes you want to interpret things so literally.

i think of the word "original" as not being something "new" or impossible like a literal interpretation might interpret as being similar to a "new" color.

I see "original" as meaning pure.

dethpillow - 2/17/2014, 12:11 PM
@Alphdog - but i don't mean pure to original form. or in any kind of linear evolution, but pure in the sense of whole, heavenly, without division, without knowledge.

stuck on page 1

Didn't read saw it was Jacky and new it was crazy stupidity. Wish the name of the person who writes the story was under the tag line. Would same so much time in weeding though the bull shit.
dethpillow - 2/17/2014, 7:05 PM
@Cerebro - i wish it was too so we didn't have to waste time seeing stupid posts like yours. seriously, you didn't read something but you knew it was stupid. and crazily so?

you're stupid. you know why? cuz just seeing the title, and i knew already it was an 80% chance of being a Jacky article. that's why your stupid, Cerebro. you should learn to base what you do in life upon clues from reality. sometimes those will give you hints about whether to do a thing or not. that's why we don't eat rocks. cuz we see a rock and know that it's not going to help make us stop being hungry.

but then more than that, cuz i know it's easy to give in to morbid curiousities and it's easy to be so annoyed by a thing that you just cry out to the gods about why the world must be this way or that way. so it is only with great charity and mercy in my heart that i view in a not entirely worthless light.

becuz you hide from your own imagination. like a fugitive, i would say. i would liken you to a fugitive of your own imagination. and i would say i felt sorry for you, except that this would be insulting.

but look i said it anyways. i think i'm a pretentious jerk becuz of that. i guess it's just that kind of day tho. but if i were you, i would just turn myself in to my imagination and plead guilty of whatever things it seems to think you've done. who knows if you're guilty or not? not me. but that's what i would do, i if i were you.
dethpillow - 2/17/2014, 7:13 PM
@Cerebro - you know what makes me mad too? is that not only was i pretentious jerk, but then i acknowledged it right afterwards. and that's like 100 times more pretentious than what i did in the first place. i'm hoping this comment starts the process of turning away from escalating levels of pretention. (on my part, of course.)

it's honestly intended to. but i won't know until after i hit "Post Comment" i guess. i wish there was a way to know what you'd be from doing an action before you did it. but i guess there's not so i end up doing a lot of bad things, thinking that it's turn out so good. oh well.
dethpillow - 2/17/2014, 7:48 PM
oh and then i just noticed too, but then once you see the photo next to the article, you should be about 95% sure that it's a Jacky article.

so it's you're own fault. just like most things are.
Jobin - 2/17/2014, 8:55 PM

Cerebro - 2/17/2014, 10:54 PM
deathpillow, with a response like that you either are Jacky or taking the same LSD that the man is on. My only fault is falling for the somewhat coherent tag line that Jacky stats with. I will apologies for one thing though. Stupidity is not a word i should have used. crazy yes, but not the other. Sorry Jacky. That wasn't cool of me.
Cerebro - 2/17/2014, 10:57 PM
Did read it by the way ---- Nothing new under the sun.
ThunderKat - 2/19/2014, 11:38 PM
Oh, wow. This is a silly article that doesn't really drive a valid point.

Hollywood lacks creativity hence the multitude of sequels. Thanks to CGI, Hollywood is able to tap resources that have fifty-two to seventy-five years worth of stories.

We are fortunate that said stories originate from comic books...not romance novels, comic strips (a la "Doonesbury," etc.), or something else.
