Of COURSE, Gravity. Hope it kills many awards shows. Deserves it. Flawlessness.
Kurne - 1/8/2014, 4:16 AM
I stopped caring about the BAFTA's a long time ago :P
SuperCat - 1/8/2014, 4:21 AM
Haven't seen any of these.

RichardBoldly - 1/8/2014, 4:49 AM

Gravity is such a masterpiece. Deservs every [frick]ing awards it gets.

The movie also has a very beautiful message about how we can and SHOULD fight for our lifes. Like, doesn't matter how bad your situation is, you can ALWAYS overcome your problems even if you're alone and no one seems to give a [frick] about you.

You can do itttt!!!!
loki668 - 1/8/2014, 4:50 AM
They still have the BAFTAs?
MightyZeus - 1/8/2014, 4:57 AM
Gravity deserves those awards. The film is remarkable and mesmerizing and keeps you to the edge of your seat with it's tense scenarios.

I recommend those that have not seen Gravity watch it on a big screen.

Matthew McConaughey isn't nominated for DALLAS BUYERS CLUB? That's a travesty.
ArthurNumeriano - 1/8/2014, 5:16 AM
Seriously, Man of Steel not receiving any nomination is what the movie deserves.
ArthurNumeriano - 1/8/2014, 5:18 AM
Also, Gravity for the win.
19001560 - 1/8/2014, 5:21 AM
Nice try DC! :)

GodzillaKart - 1/8/2014, 5:22 AM
Although it was the shittiest film in the bunch, I'd probably have to give the visual effects award to The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
marvel72 - 1/8/2014, 5:30 AM
the gravity is gonna win everything, good to see iron man 3 has a nomination.

it won't win though.
GodzillaKart - 1/8/2014, 5:47 AM
Gravity was absolutely great. Hope it cleans up.
charlie2094 - 1/8/2014, 6:11 AM
Gravity will win, not sure about best original screenplay though, the dialogue was the weakest part, would have to give that to American Hustle. Imagine Gravity will clean it up, picture and sound at least for sure.

Like to see Hobbit win best VFX. Smaug was incredible and the film looked great, but again, that'll most likely go to Gravity, though I feel this particular one shouldn't. Don't think Iron Man 3's VFX really deserve a nomination, but whatever, it won't win anyway.

Still need to see 12 Years a Slave before the awards, really been meaning to see it but my local cinema never showed it. Think Tom Hanks should take best actor, he was fantastic, though DiCaprio's win is long overdue
CaptShipwreck - 1/8/2014, 6:13 AM
So no man of steel nomination ?
SageMode - 1/8/2014, 6:25 AM
MOS getting the shaft while IRON MAN 3 gets another award nomination!

Hellsing - 1/8/2014, 6:32 AM
I'm confused why the [frick] is Daniel Brühl up for best supporting actor, as far as I can remember him and Hemsworth were essentially co-leads. There stories ran parallel to each other. Kind of an insult to a such fine performance.
CaptShipwreck - 1/8/2014, 6:36 AM
Funny how actual award shows that matter don't see things like the way the insecure DC lovers on this site do..
charlie2094 - 1/8/2014, 6:46 AM

There's plenty of insecure Marvel fans too, who will bash you the moment something negative is said about Marvel, ones who claim Iron Man 3/Thor 2 are fantastic, some of the years best etc Both are as pathetic as each other
QuestiontheAnswer - 1/8/2014, 7:11 AM
Lol Marvel fans are so proud of that undeserved visual effects award.
CaptShipwreck - 1/8/2014, 7:54 AM
As DC fans are proud of the award that was given out of pitty to an idiot that killed himself.
DrunkenNukem - 1/8/2014, 8:10 AM
forget IM3....can someone explain to me why is Gravity in best british films?????..

Also...Christian Bale he is outstanding (again) in American Hustle...why didnn´t he wanted to return as Batman i will never understand..

Bale is the Christopher Nolan of acting..
DrunkenNukem - 1/8/2014, 8:11 AM
@CaptShipwreck Heath Ledger is the first and only actor that won the academy award for his role of A COMICBOOK CHARACTER
batcheeks8 - 1/8/2014, 8:39 AM
It could always be worse..

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 1/8/2014, 9:03 AM
meh movie
thejon93rd - 1/8/2014, 9:32 AM
Man of Steel should have been nominated for Best Music.
EdgyOutsider - 1/8/2014, 10:13 AM
WOOHOO!!! Prisoners got recognition! Wait... no? Gravity, AGAIN!?!?! [frick]! Should at least been, Rush. Great visuals and great score don't make a good movie, only enhances a movie. This being said, Clooney was more convincing in the atrocity that I dare not speak. Over rated, over hyped hunk of junk.
TheAstoundingMan - 1/8/2014, 10:55 AM
Are you kidding me? I'm not surprised that Gravity is still riding the Gravity Train, but I thought The Wolf of Wall Street would get a little more acknowledgement than this.
KalKent853 - 1/8/2014, 11:34 AM
Gravity was a great spectacle sure and a great achievement. But it's not an amazing film as a whole
MecoBoy - 1/8/2014, 5:15 PM
Gravity se merese todos los premios, que pelicula no mms, se iso mi favorita pelicula de todo los tempos
Alfonso Cuaron es un orgullo Mexicano
