Today is the 50th birthday of not only the greatest basketball player of all time, but one of the greatest athletes of all time in Michael Jordan. Unless you've been living under a rock, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time. Some of Michael Jordan's accompishments is that he is a 6 time NBA Champion, was MVP for the NBA Finals 6 times, won the Olympic gold medal 2 times, was a 5 time NBA MVP, won 10 NBA Scoring Titles, was selected to 14 NBA All-Star games, won MVP in 3 of those NBA All-Star games, won Rookie of the year, won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest twice, was the Defense Player of the Year, won the NCAA National Championship at UNC, was elected in the James Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, and many more. Michael Jordan also finished his career with 32,292 points. Michael Jordan now is the owner of the Charlotte Bobcats (soon to be Hornets).

Now some of you maybe wondering: why does Michael Jordan have to do with anything on Comic Book Movie? Well here is your answer.

First off he starred in the film, Space Jam. Michael Jordan on the big screen playing basketball with Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes. What more could you want as a kid?

Second, DC Comics were the ones to publish a comic version of Space Jam.

Also while previewing the 2010-2011 NBA Season, ESPN hired artists from Marvel to make comic book covers of all 30 teams and here we have Michael Jordan parodying Nick Fury.

Lastly Michael Jordan along with Wayne Gretzky and Bo Jackson starred as crime fighters in the animated series Pro Stars.

There isn't enough to say about Michael Jordan. He was the greatest basketball player to have play the game. Everyone in the 90's whether you liked basketball or not watched him. @lordsinestro wow never knew there was actually someone who didn't appreciate sports, even if you don't like them. MJ was the greatest basketball player ever, and easily a top 5 athlete ever. Show some respect, not everything is about fantasy, sci-fi, and comics brotha. Happy 50th's to MJ and Sir Charles!!
