Countries in the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, and Kenya) are facing the worst drought in 60 years, causing a severe hunger crisis. According to the U.S. government, the crisis is unlike any other in terms of displacement, starvation and death of the population. More than 8 million people are in need of critical assistance Hundreds of thousands have fled to refugee camps seeking help. The situation is so critical that last July, the United Nations (UN) officially declared famine for the first time in 21 years.

Since then, progress has been made. Humanitarian aid organizations are on the ground working to provide much needed relief to the region. And in February, 2012, the UN lifted the famine in the region.

But these families need more help. They need our help.

Join the Justice League and DC Entertainment in raising awareness and funds for our three nonprofit partners, Save the Children, International Rescue Committee and Mercy Corps, who are delivering aid where it is needed most. The people of the Horn of Africa need us now.

My Dad got me the "We Can Be Heroes New 52 Justice League" 7-pack and the "We Can Be Heroes" t-shirt for Christmas. Over 75% of the profit went to this. That's awesome!

How about getting some of these executives that cut themselves multi-million dollar Christmas bonuses to help out rather than asking randoms? [frick]ing capitalist pieces of shit.
