New Stills From HITMAN: AGENT 47 Featuring STAR TREK's Zachary Quinto And More

A new batch of stills have been released for 20th Century Fox's Agent 47 (a reboot of 2007's Hitman), featuring a new look at Rupert Friend as the titular assassin and the characters played by Zachary Quinto and Hannah Ware. Hit the jump to check them out!

Agent 47 is a reboot of Hitman (which starred Justified’s Timothy Olyphant as the lead character and grossed over $100 million worldwide back in 2007). The movie is based on the hit video game franchise from Square Enix, and this take on the bald assassin was shot in a number of locations. It stars Rupert Friend (Homeland) in the title role and this movie will see him take on his first role in a big budget blockbuster. Of course, he’s no stranger to action thanks to his role in the Showtime drama and should have little trouble convincingly portraying the tough as nails anti-hero who’s best known for his ruthless killing methods and the barcode tattoo on the back of his head. Commercials director Aleksander Bach will still make his feature helming debut with the project from a screenplay written by A Good Day To Die Hard’s Skip Woods and Mike Finch as well as Machete Kills’ Kyle Ward. Also in the movie are Zachary Quinto, Hannah Ware and Thomas Kretschmann.

ALegendaryPanda - 7/29/2014, 1:12 PM
The same people who wrote A Good Day To Die Hard wrote this movie?? Oh god no!
kakinurmawth - 7/29/2014, 1:16 PM
When are we gonna get a dude who actually looks like 47...not this alien headed stuff. Timothy Olyphant was just horrible.
SuperCat - 7/29/2014, 1:17 PM
I don't even think I'll watch this on TNT.
SpiderFraud - 7/29/2014, 1:17 PM

Zachary Quinto stole Vincent's suit from Collateral.

Damn straight up copycatting.
driver - 7/29/2014, 1:32 PM
@soforizo Or Max Payne's from Max Payne 3 that was inspired by Cruise suit from Collateral that was inspired by De Niro suit form The Heat.
sinthegreat - 7/29/2014, 1:33 PM
Why is his head so deformed??
Tempo - 7/29/2014, 1:36 PM
Only one reason to see this movie: Zachary Quinto.

I'm a big fan of Hitman franchise but the first movie was meh,and again we don't have an actor that look like Agent 47,the only one is Jason Statham, damn take him!

The guy at least fits the character much better than Oliphant, let's just hope that they won't do the classic "video clip makeover" movies inspired by videogames get.

Guy has a big head!!! Seriously? Thats the complaint?
He looks like Hitman more than Oliphant and Walker(God Bless his Soul), Statham.

He is thin, thats why his head looks big.
Last Hitman game showed that he is indeed shaving his head (even though I found it not cool at the time when I saw it in the film).

We need the trailer to see him in action.

I'll take your word for it.

@soforizo That's true, man. 'cuz The heat and Collateral were directed by Mann and.... Rockstar that made Max Payne 3 (only the 3rd one) love Mann's films. They admitted that themselves.
dutchman - 7/29/2014, 2:02 PM
o no please just come one just no why does this movie need to be made the first one sucked so hard
NeoBaggins - 7/29/2014, 2:04 PM
His big ass dome isn't the problem, its the shitty movie before this. How did they manage another one?

I thought the first was excruciatingly long but just found out it was only an hour and a half long. WOW!
soforizo - 7/29/2014, 2:06 PM

I figure you were telling the truth.
Archgoat - 7/29/2014, 2:06 PM
First Hitman was awful and looks like this will be even worse. Shame too see such a cool character wasted.
RobertLiefeld - 7/29/2014, 2:58 PM
I didn't know there was enough demand for a Hitman film to warrant a second one. I really like Zachary Quinto though, so I hope it does well. Margin Call was an incredibly under rated movie that he was in, I suggest everyone go watch it.
slyrax - 7/29/2014, 3:02 PM
Ugh. Hitman is all about stealth and making someone have an "unfortunate accident" when possible, so as to get the Silent Assassin rating. That first pic tells me he's anything but a silent assassin LOL.
IAmNotGr00t - 7/29/2014, 3:22 PM
His head looks too weird.
wcwpoet - 7/29/2014, 3:25 PM
Yeah if you're trying to sell me on a movie don't say from the writers of A Good Day To Die Hard lol.
poop23 - 7/29/2014, 3:25 PM
slyrax~ exactly
SpideyQuad - 7/29/2014, 3:29 PM
I enjoyed the first or original movie with Timothy Olyphant. I always held out hope for a sequel. I saw Paul Walker was originally up for this part, so I guess they either wanted a clean start or Olyphan wasn't up for a retake.
InfiniteMonkey - 7/29/2014, 3:46 PM
I hope this is good or have to wait another 5 years or so for a reboot.
RangerStorm44 - 7/29/2014, 9:32 PM
you are not 47 sir
Tidaltree - 7/29/2014, 10:01 PM
I don't think that Jason Statham would be open to ever take on an lead role as hitman, though. He's always set on playing out characters in his action movies, displaying outstanding, even over the top like degrees of planning behind each and every action, are gifted with a level of professionalism on the outer edge of the humanly possible or featuring another ability he's gifted with, elevating the character above the normal human being and into a variant I'd call "supreme alpha dog". I'm betting on hidden self esteem issues, where his need for compensating it instead of working through his issues with the help of a professional being responsible for the coherent similarities of charakter qualities he's willing to earn his money as an actor with.

(Though I only know him from screen, so am in lack of even just the tiniest, singular opportunity providing a different viewpoint on Statham as a person, thus allowing me to verify, dismiss or elaborate on my deductions in any way. So better take any viewpoints or theories I've shared above with, like, an mount everest of salt... ;) )
Jollem - 7/29/2014, 11:46 PM
i'll give it a chance. 47's the man
