After seeing the article this morning about Marlon Wayans starring as Robin in a potential third Tim Burton movie, we roped our good friend into our morning show today.

Actually, Marlon was in town to perform stand up at the Funny Bone in Perryburg, Ohio.

If not for seeing the Robin article, I might have gone with the hackneyed line of questioning involving White Chicks and In Living Color. Instead, we immediately jumped into how exactly things fell apart for him and more importantly - not knowing the vicious Internet backlash against the F4 reboot w/ a black Human Torch - how did he feel about the social responsibility of taking a six decade old icon and portraying it in a different race long before any such producer or actor has been so brazen.

Marlon also shared exactly how much he was paid for role. EXACTLY, as in take home pay to the cent...and what he did did with it.

out of sheer curiosity from the above quote i sat through this, and at no point did he reveal how much he was paid, only that he was paid..."but,i got the check."

is there a longer edit somewhere containing this info?

GURILLAPUD - If the movie failed way back then, maybe. But if it was a smash hit like the first two Burton Batman movies were, then I doubt they'd be pissed off.
