Slick New MOCKINGBIRD LANE Clip Introduces Herman & Eddie Munster

It seems like a dangerous baby bear has forced The Munsters to up and move from their home, making Mockingbird Lane their new residence. Hit the jump to check out a rather slick way of introducing Jerry O'Connell's new Herman Munster to the show.

MOCKINGBIRD LANE Premieres Friday, Oct. 26th!

Three more days!

The pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about The Munsters, a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein, and their “plain” cousin (Charity Wakefield) — that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies. O’Connell will play family patriarch, the handsome and gangly Herman Munster, a great dad and devoted husband. He is married to Lily, a vampire, with whom he has fathered a 10-year-old boy, Eddie (Mason Cook). Strong but sentimental, Herman works at a funeral home, and worries that Eddie’s transformation into a werewolf and burgeoning awareness of his family’s origins will crush the boy’s spirit.

I'm really loving the look of this show. Just love how Bryan Fuller has re-imagined this show and keeps the comedic elements but really updates them with his own magic and wonder we love in his shows.
I wish NBC has more faith in it because I would love to see a series. This would of even made for a great re-imagined movie. I will defiantly be watching it on October 26.

I actually want to check this out.. Just seems the majority of folks want to hate it more than they actually do hate it. I don't get it..
Greengo - 10/23/2012, 3:05 PM
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say the baby bear was actually Eddie when he turned into a werewolf.
MiracleMe - 10/23/2012, 3:12 PM
Neither do I blvdnoise. When I think of all the variations and iterations of comic book heroes I've seen over the decades I know that just because these new Munsters aren't carbon-copies of the forty-five year old originals does not make this a bad show. I'll watch it with an open mind.

This is not a sixties sit-com but something potentially very special. And if there's a positive enough response to it the show CAN be UN-cancelled. Not betting on that, though.

First off there was a reunion a long time ago of the Munsters it was ok. Then they did remake the show with Brad Garret from Everybody loves Raymond as Hermon Munster. They made it just like the original. It was crap! You say you want the original but if someone made it just like that it still wouldn't be the same and you all would still be talking about how much you hate it. I think this is a new spin on an old idea and I am up for giving it a chance. I don't understand why so many have written that they want to hate this but so far they don't. Why do you want to hate anything? I dont get that.

I bet most of the people that are crying over this didn't even watch the old Munsters show.
